Exactly my cas3 I mean I dont wear makeup in a daily basis just for special ocassions and Mac is my best matching shade so far so i still have it and works three years with me and barely 5 times used
Retired MAC Artist chiming in. The skin finish is a mineralized powder foundation not a "bronzer" you can use it as a bronzer and that's what may be causing your skin to look oily as well. That whole line (Mineralized) is kinda intended to give a you a luminous skin finish aka oily look lol. You can try matte bronze it's a nice not to orange color. That mascara is one of my favorites but when you use it wiggle side to side as you move up it give a great result. Love ya!!! ❤
That coral colour still looked so good on you (but I understand when it isn't what you're expecting)!! Could you do a full face of ColourPop makeup, they have lots of different lip products and Sol body stuff that you could try out too before hand as a skin care/pamper yourself before hand?
*READ THE COMMENTS BELOW FOR A DEEPER EXPLANATION* As someone who does makeup for people all the time, MAC is one I don't recommend for daily wear on the face products. Mostly the foundation and powders. The best way to explain it is MAC is not much different then the pancake stage makeup used. While it's full coverage, it will clog your pores. So if you have sensitive or acne prone skin it's going to give you problems. I really only recommend it for special occasions and not as a daily wear product. I hope that also helps anyone else who was wondering if it's worth purchasing or curious.
What would you recommend for someone with sensitive/acne prone skin? I've been searching for a foundation and am struggling lol. I have a lot of texture as well. I'm open to literally any price point.
@@lilcheerchick97 I personally have larger pores. But I never go wrong with Maybelline superstay active. It has a nice coverage to it that doesn't feel heavy. I also usually use their Primer as well to hide my larger pores/texture. I hope that helps.
I have used Mac products and especially foundations, and I just disagree with you. There full coverage pancake type stuff is heavy but you know that when you buy them.

Mia a month ago cleaning her whole makeup collection and saying she doesn’t need more than that, Mia coule weeks later on starting to ré-acquire everything she threw away one brand at the time 😂 highly suggest VIEVE brand by RUclipsr Jamie Genevieve, it’s my absolute fave brand ever, unless they will change their formulas, it will be it for me till death! 💀 ❤️ 💄

Same! The only product that doesn’t break me out is the face and body foundation. And I agree with the animal testing. It’s because the products are made and sold in China, and their laws require all products to be tested on animals

After a major weight loss 16 years ago I went the MAC counter at Nordstrom and had them do my makeup, Told them I was starting over, didn't like wearing foundation, needed an age appropriate look and needed help. Came away with a bag of cosmetics (price of which I don't remember) and actually loved the outcome! I now also get some E.L.F.. products and various other brands cheaper and okay quality. I love your look and while the lip color was not what you expected, it's really pretty on you!

The mac liquidlast eyeliner is the blackest black eyeliner and it lasts forever. I have watery eyes/greasy lids and it’s the only thing that doesn’t imprint. It’s incredible 👏🏻
You need to buy the pump separately for the foundation. When your foundation is empty, you can use that same pump again I didn’t know that either but the seller in the store told me about it

Mineralised skin finish is like a setting powder. It’s amazing all overtop of foundation. Makes your skin look like skin not completely flat and matte. It looks like it’s sparkly but it’s not!
So many things to comment!!! First I LOVE YOUR TOP&CORSET. 10/10. Secondly, that foundation broke me out so bad. I kept thinking it was my skincare or something else, finally stopped using it, and my face cleared up. Quite a lot of their products have broken me out. There is a place called Cosmetics Company at some outlet malls in the US and they sell Mac for so cheap. Like $5 lip sticks cheap. Probably “expired” but I’m like you, I don’t really care. girl please buy glowing primers or hydrate before starting your makeup. your skin is dry, it's never oily looking as you said lol I also have dry skin, hate how this foundation sits on top of my skin, it's way too heavy, but glowing bronzers are our friends don't be afraid of it. i think your makeup would look way better if you would pay more attention to your skin type, just a tip :)
My mom loves MAC and has been using their products since the 90s & 00s, so when I started wearing makeup I mainly used MAC products. They haven't let me down yet (except for discontinuing some VERY good products).My (and my mom's) favorite product to date is their Studio Fix Powder Foundation.

They completely skirt around the fact that they pay to have their products tested on animals in order to sell in China.
Cruelty free is so important for me! It’s the first thing I check when buying makeup or hygiene products! And I make sure it’s not a company that say’s they’re cruelty free but pay a third party to do the testing so they can sell in China (law there says makeup and personal products must be tested on animals, so if a company sells in China it is animal testing somehow). I always look for the certified bunny logos to make sure! 🐇
Yes MAC foundation breaks not everyone, but a lot of people, out. It breaks me out and I used to be really sad about it because I loved the way the foundation looked. The face and body foundation doesn’t break me out, but it’s way lighter in coverage!

Mac was one of the only foundations back in the day that was light enough for me and I'm pretty sure one of the first to have a large darker range too. The fact that they refuse to be cruelty free sucks but I'll always have a little bit of respect for Mac in the shade regard.
wanted to let you know the mineralized products in mac makes it so you get moisture so dainty the blush, the skin finish setting powder which you used as contour is actually a face powder that gives moisture and the highlighter they're all more for dry skin rather than oily skin so if you looked oily its probably because of that. as for setting powder thats not a literal foundation they have a line called BLOT which is based on rice powder that prevents oils from coming through , really good powder... the only one that actually held my face for an entire day and i have oily skin. i used to work in mac for 2 years when i was younger i wouldn't recommend getting their things online because the workers in the shop matches the products for you fitting on your daily basis and its really helpful when someone tells you what is for what due to how many different usage their products go to. in the company mixing products up is also super common so even mixing a foundation with conealer etc to get different types of combos is also very common. for example we mix the face and body foundation (pretty sure it has a new name now since they rebranded it) with the mac longwear concealer to create a high coverage foundation that lasts for long but also doesnt make the skin cakey.. anyways i think getting their products is better in store rather than online.

As a 20 year old I knew nothing about makeup. I went to a MAC store and took the plunge. They taught me exactly how to do my makeup. I’ve moved on to other brands, but they will forever be the OG. If you like smells, try the Prime +Fix spray (original). It’s iconic.

I used to love going to the MAC store and have them apply makeup, even though it was always awkward only buying one product (broke at the time, so I get that feeling, Mia) afterwards. Then I started hearing about them not being cruelty free and moved on to other brands, and eventually the store closed as well. Still to this day I'm searching for a dupe for the frosted New York Apple because the shade was absolutely gorgeous. There's a few that come close though.

Mac was one of the only foundations back in the day that was light enough for me and I'm pretty sure one of the first to have a large darker range too. The fact that they refuse to be cruelty free sucks but I'll always have a little bit of respect for Mac in the shade regard.
wanted to let you know the mineralized products in mac makes it so you get moisture so dainty the blush, the skin finish setting powder which you used as contour is actually a face powder that gives moisture and the highlighter they're all more for dry skin rather than oily skin so if you looked oily its probably because of that. as for setting powder thats not a literal foundation they have a line called BLOT which is based on rice powder that prevents oils from coming through , really good powder... the only one that actually held my face for an entire day and i have oily skin.
i used to work in mac for 2 years when i was younger i wouldn't recommend getting their things online because the workers in the shop matches the products for you fitting on your daily basis and its really helpful when someone tells you what is for what due to how many different usage their products go to.
in the company mixing products up is also super common so even mixing a foundation with conealer etc to get different types of combos is also very common. for example we mix the face and body foundation (pretty sure it has a new name now since they rebranded it) with the mac longwear concealer to create a high coverage foundation that lasts for long but also doesnt make the skin cakey.. anyways i think getting their products is better in store rather than online.

As a 20 year old I knew nothing about makeup. I went to a MAC store and took the plunge. They taught me exactly how to do my makeup. I’ve moved on to other brands, but they will forever be the OG. If you like smells, try the Prime +Fix spray (original). It’s iconic.

I used to love going to the MAC store and have them apply makeup, even though it was always awkward only buying one product (broke at the time, so I get that feeling, Mia) afterwards. Then I started hearing about them not being cruelty free and moved on to other brands, and eventually the store closed as well. Still to this day I'm searching for a dupe for the frosted New York Apple because the shade was absolutely gorgeous. There's a few that come close though.
