I mostly didn't care that much for this episode, despite it being the worst s11 episodes, however the pistachios episode is more enjoyable than Bop til you drop.
This is a weird question, but have you ever watched the 1962 French science fiction short film _La Jetée_ ? I’m just asking because your video editing style with your narration and collection of episode screen shots reminded me of when I had to watch that short in film school. Your Barney videos all emit the same surreal, but appealing vibe as it, which I absolutely love!
I don't think I saw this as a kid, but is the thing to take away that because the budget kept growing tighter, that's why the writing suffered, like with this episode?
Seasons 10-14 are the worst in my opinion though 12 and 13 are a slight improvement but still terrible. The only good episodes from that era in my opinion is Differences, The Sleepless Sleepover, Guess Who?, Sweet Treats, Gift of the Dinos, A Visit to Santa, The Misbegotten Moon, The Sword in the Sandbox, Big Brother:Rusty, the Hawaii episode, Bonjour Barney (if the episode name is correct), and of course Home Sweet Home: A Rainforest Adventure (correct me if I'm wrong). Other than those select episodes, I prefer Seasons 1-9 as they are the only good seasons to me.
Season 11 is a decent season. It does have some good and great episodes, but some others not so much. The magic words is honestly the worst episode of Barney. It does have good moments, but Baby Bop is really out of character. I done a review of this season and I given it a 5 out of 10.
I can see this being a contender, if not the winner, of the worst episode once they get to this season. lol Not a fan of what they'd done to Baby Bop in the later seasons, this episode being a key example of it. Sure, she gets some good lines still, but the constant bossiness really got on my nerves (except for what you mentioned with Riff to the Rescue; that I liked).
