Funny how different peoples tastes can be. Terre d’Hermes was my very first fragrance love as a complete beginner, and I’m a younger-ish guy. I though for sure you would mention the flanker though, TdH Eau Intense Vetiver has been my daily scent for the last few months, it’s just so perfectly mature-manly-foresty smelling, I’m in love with it!
I have all 3 Encre Noire versions and also Guerlain Vetiver Extreme. The Original Encre Noire is my favourite of the 3 Lalique scents and Vetiver Extreme is just a creamier version of the regular Vetiver and easier to wear for all occasions. 👍👍
Maybe I have to grow up with EN more but I like Sport over the original. Original EN smells heavily like ink and it's polarizing, while Sport tones it down but keeps the nice woody dry down.
All the 3 Encre Noires are exceptional. I started loving the original the most, but now absolutely love the dry down of A L’Extreme. Smells kind of Amouage-ish imo
Great video. I got the one from Lalique, Guerlain and Hermès. I would say that Terre always blows me away. After all these years. I agree with You, this is a masterpiece. And you made the right description with those circles. That’s exactly it. 👍
Man, this was a fantastic video Justin! I'd love to see you do more just like this, but exploring other notes as well. Terre de Hermes is great, I love the way it smells and I'm glad I gave it a chance even though I'm not a huge fan of vetiver.
An excellent retrospective on vetivers! Vetiver is an acquired taste, yet some of the last truly classy scents still standing. - Guerlain - 100% - the starter vetiver. There is one more starter to add to the list: Just Jack - more so in a role of a cologne / aftershave / at home or a scent-limited office type deal - a nice vetiver body scent. Very light but a good introduction to the scent class. - Hemingway - really like your ocean analogy. Ironically, I always think E.A. Poe for some reason (visiting Nova Scotia coast?). - Hermes - 100%. For me at least, one staple is missing: the old Eau Sauvage Extreme. On dry down, it becomes a dark and deep but not flat vetiver - at least on me. Thank you very much for your video. I have enjoyed it and also learned of a few I never knew about and would have to try next chance I get. Btw, you may want to consider a career in the radio / broadcasting.
Justin Vetiver is a fantastic note in a fragrance! I have several fragrances you mentioned! But the Milano fragrance seems to be interesting 👏🏽🙌🏾💪🏾 I love this kind of content! Keep going mate
Watched this when it dropped, had to come back and let you know how much I appreciate this video! I love the descriptions and especially the recommendations for different levels of interest, it's a great idea and so useful! I would love to see this type of video on different ingredients, I'd watch them all. Such a nice change from the "top 10" videos all over YT. Thank you and keep them coming!
Yo tambien me inclino a creer que eres el mejor de todos quienes realizan comentarios en torno a la fragancias y perfumes en este caso una muy relevante que es El Vetiver. Mis mas sinceras felicitaciones por tu calidad , conocimiento y comentarios.Saludos🎉
The way you described Terre D'Hermes was pretty great. I'm excited to see you use the same format to describe other scents. I think stepping outside of the typical pyramid is refreshing and allows you to be more accurate to the experience of wearing a scent. Great work.
Glad I stumbled upon your channel. The "pick up artist" and bourgeois-like reviewers I've continually troughed through of late have been tiring. Yours is very refreshing. Thank you.
Love this style of video, would definitely be cool to see you explore some more individual notes. 🙌🏻 For me, Vetiver took quite a while to grow on me. When I first smelled Encre Noire I literally thought it was the most disgusting fragrance I had ever smelled wondered why on Earth anyone would create anything that smells like it. Now, a couple of years later, I own a full bottle, absolutely adore the stuff and am blown away every time I sniff it, and I will praise it as a high quality niche-level masterpiece-among-masterpieces to anyone who will listen. The stuff is the Mona Lisa of Vetiver. 😂 A few to add to the list for anyone else exploring the note: Zara Vetiver Pampelmousse - in my opinion, THE most accessible Vetiver fragrance on the market. It’s primarily bitter, photorealistic Grapefruit that smells WAY better quality than its price point, and then as it settles down the Vetiver comes in very gently in the background and the combination is just perfect. For the price, it’s a no brainer honestly. Best Grapefruit scent I’ve ever smelled, and trust me I’ve smelled plenty by this point. Performance sucks, but who cares considering the price and quality. A perfect entrance for someone who doesn’t like Vetiver to dip their feet into. Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire - probably the most “perfect” earthy/woody traditional Vetiver scent I’ve come across. It apparently had the highest amount of Vetiver ever put into a fragrance when it was released(I don’t know if anything else has come out to take that crown since). It’s so perfect that to some people it’s almost boring. It has no rough edges, nothing challenging about it, it’s just a very high quality and very well blended scent. Definitely accessible due to the lack of any “funk” or quirk. Yes the price is very high and to many people, for what you get, it’s too high. Still, on scent profile and quality alone, it’s got to be one of the most well crafted out there, as well as one of the classiest and easiest to wear. Roja Vetiver - I’ll make it quick because I know that you like this one Justin and a lot of people know it. To me this is Tom Ford Grey Vetiver but better in every way. Fresher, more complex, more vibrant. Still the best “clean” Vetiver scent that I’ve yet tried. Frederic Malle French Lover/Bois D’Orage - A true masterpiece from Pierre Bourdon (I believe the scent was originally started by Jean-Claude Ellena and then taken over and finished by Pierre when JCE was employed by Hermes half way through its creation). Takes that earthiness of Vetiver to the next level with a bunch of spicy greenness which opens up like the smell of wet vegetation, but somehow manages to dry down to something incredibly classy and alluring. It’s so hard to describe what this smells like, but for anyone who loves Vetiver and wants something that doesn’t just smell like the traditional Vetiver scents that we all know and love, you OWE it to yourself to get your nose on this stuff. Just a few for the Vetiver heads (or Grapefruit heads with the Zara one) to get their nose on. VETIVER LOVERS UNITE. 😆🙌🏻
I love this concept Justin. Take a note and explain it, give some examples and people can decide for themself if they want to explore it. I personaly love the scent of vetiver, as long as it's combined with the right ingredients and when it stays on the more fresher or light woody site of this note. A citrus-lavender-vetiver combo is, in my opinion, one of the best. But everybody will have it's own favorite, as it should be.
Vetiver has become one of my favorite fragrance notes as well. I have all the fragrances in your video except the Masque Mil and Javoy. In addition to those a few of my favorite vetiver fragrances are Fat Electrician -ELDO, Vetiver Oriental - Serge Lutens, Lunar Vetiver - Amouroud, and Vetiver Sensuel - Mancera. I want to get my nose on Sultan Vetiver - Nishane. I've heard good things about that one but I have to find it at the right price.
☆☆☆☆☆YEEAH J.C. ! Really have learned to appreciate for vetiver, first was a blind buy of Encre Noire Extrem! I was initially taken aback how it reminded me of my landscaping days, pulling out clumps of long bladed, ashy-dry, green, dusty grass from neglected backyards. I went back in for a big whiff months later, and it was great. Really gave me a pleasant nostalgic sense. Much respect and appreciation to you an the Mrs' and o course the Stay Fresh Fam♡ ☆☆☆☆☆
I haven’t liked too many vetiver-heavy scents so far. I think Grey Vetiver was the first I tried. Then Terre D’Hermes and many of its flankers (I’m glad you put that in the enthusiast category because I didn’t think it was easy to like. I recently tried the Guerlain and it mostly just smelled clean to me. It was certainly easier to wear than the others. Would you consider Dior Eau Sauvage a Vetiver-forward scent? I wasn’t a fan of the original when I tried it either, but when I tried the Parfum version I loved it! Maybe that’s because the Vetiver is hidden in other things, but Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum has become my favorite woody scent.
TY just showed me this video; I'd never seen your channel before. Let me tell you, I love the way you narrate the scents, and that pie chart was an excellent way to explain visually how a scent works in the air. Another great "Fraghead channel" on my list, Thanks for the content ~
I’ll wake up and put TDH on so I can smell it as long as possible, before I switch to something else. I, too, wasn’t an initial fan, but it didn’t last long and luckily I wasn’t repulsed by it, like you, JC. Loved it so much I got the rest of the line/ flankers, before they were discontinued 💔.
Hello from Sweden and the Scent Manual (Doftmanualen in Swedish) podcast! Some gr8 choices here! Nishane Sultan Vetiver is really something else and is highly recommended. Dirty, sweet and with the most beautiful drydown. Really enjoyed this episode! 😊
Another great and unique video Justin. Vetiver is definitely an underappreciated note. I, like you, love the note. I have to admit you're better than me when it comes to Hemingway. That is a tough one for me to pull off--so earthy and so green. It's funny because I love to smell it but it's a tough one to wear. I know you can't feature every vetiver fragrance, but one that I really love is ROJA's Vetiver! Great grassy clean vetiver that develops on the skin over time to a darker, almost smoky scent that is elegant beyond words--love it. Also, wanted to congratulate you on 2nd Soul--my bottle arrived last week and I've been wearing it out and really loving it--you really knocked it out to the park--keep doing what you doing and have a blessed day brother!
This is really interesting and a brilliant idea/topic. I'm just at the intro. Had to pause for making this comment. Looking forward to the rest of the video.
He bro Justin, great video yeah I love vetiver ❤and I do have a few in my collection, nishane sultan vetiver, roja vetiver perfume , mancera vetiver sensual , different company sel de vetiver , tom ford grey vetiver etc and have a wonderful week peace ✌️ 🇬🇧
Dr Copeland OMG you got so much to talk about. You can talk about sweet fragrances earthy fragrances night fragrances day fragrances fun fragrances, serious fragrances, gym fragrances walk fragrances, this is endless. Keep it up Dr Copeland
@@stayfreshproductions Dr Copeland, the sky is the limit. For both the music and the fragrances you are very talented, you have countless unused ideas, and we your audience are always hungry for more of your content. Keep it up, every day you have more followers, because anyone who likes fragrances will appreciate your knowledge like gold, believe me!
Easy, and relatable format. Oh, you're at 60K subs. On you're way to 75K, then higher. I do enjoy vetiver also Justin. Best wishes to you and Gracie in 23.
Cool thing to place the bottles you just talked about into the background, I noticed at least that subtle thing. Not at all a fan of vetiver myself; I do have scents with vetiver, but rarely as the prominent note. Had a quick look at the most popular niche scents with vetiver on Parfumo and the most popular ones that I own (Herod, Back to Black, Black Phantom) definitely don't have it as even a noticeable note.
Incident Diplomatique - god tier, best trail, I spray, I leave, on me I smell strong vetiver but when I come back to the room I sprayed it in, it's all gourmandy goodness, easily my favorite vetiver
Vetiver Oriental by Serge Lutens is for me, the finest and best vetiver fragrance I've ever smelled... just beautiful and divine. While I also enjoy TdH, I prefer the Parfum version more than the OG EDT, and find it more approachable and wearable for all occasions.
Love this video idea!!! As an intrigued beginner, I do find it hard to navigate different notes and pinpoint what I do and don't like. Super helpful series (I hope) - thank you!!
I was just like you with the Hermes, hated it and then loved it a year later. It’s really important to go through progressions when it comes to different fragrances. My journey started back in 2017 and the many things I didn’t like then, I absolutely love and appreciate now!
I love the format of this video. Guerlain Vetiver was my intro to the note (and one of my first fragrances of any sort) and I agree with everything you say about it here. But when I got my nose on Terre d'Hermes a few years later, I fell for it immediately...much faster than I did for (the original) Encre Noire, which I like, but still find more difficult to pull off than T d'H. (I just got the a l'Extreme version of EN and don't quite know how I feel about it relative to the original yet.)
I think Vetiver is my favourite note and I own or have smelled all of those you mention bar one (the Jovoy). I would recommend Nishane Sultan Vetiver also, it's got so many layers and is a (relatively gentle) monster as long as you treat it with respect, and totally gorgeous if you get it right! Very much looking forward to seeing more in this series. 🙂
If you want a crash course in the polar extremes of vetiver, check out two fragrances from Bruno Fazolari / FZotic. On the dark side, he has Lampblack which lets you experience the soil covered roots of vetiver, the black ink spilled acorss your desk, the old biker jacket in the back of the closet and the screeching of a needle scratching across a black vinyl record. Not for noobs. On the opposite end, on the light side, he has Vetiverissimo which gives you the dewy lawn, brushing against the shrubs in the garden, grass-stained jeans, and an herbal soapiness, all with a milky creaminess running through the length of the fragrance. A masterful showcase of the light side of vetiver. Probably in my top 5 of all time. The first I ever considered a real masterpiece.
I have several Jaques Fath, all excellent. I just ran to my cabinet to spray the Le Loden when you talked about it :) For those watching: You can get a pack of 12 of their samples (Including the Le Loden) for a few dollars plus shipping, so about $25 to the U.S.
I blind bought guerlain vetiver in 2014. I hated it (it gave me the exact nausea and vomiting feeling that motion sickness does). Fast forward to this year, I get it out from the drawer it was gathering dust in and ... I really enjoy it. To the point that I bought encre noire (the classic), too, last week. That being said, I don't know all the scents in this vid, but, the 3 I know, I'd put like this: 1. Beginner: TDH. Seems the more approachable to me. 2. Intermediate: Guerlain vetiver. Vetiver is the star of the show, but it's in a big band, so to say. 3. enthusiast: encre noire. Starts vetiver and dies vetiver. It's a solo concert. IMO ...
Great list / Idea…. I would say… A “beginner” vetiver would be a fragrance were the vetiver is noticeable, but perhaps not the only accord / main accord you could focus on.. Something along the lines of Karl Lagerfeld Bois de Vetiver or Mercedes Benz Silver.. Very fresh and clean “vetiver” fragrances that are even easier to wear (for most) then Grey Vetiver / Guerlain Vetiver.. If you like those… Then jump to TF GV, etc… Just my 2-cents / how I think of it.
Totally off topic but I just received Layton today after work. I was so excited to shower up and wear it as it is my first niche fragrance. I had to tell people that would understand what I am going through right now. Preparing the evening meal with a smile on my face
Guerlain vetiver I love it til this day! Use to to rock this yrs ago one day at work this Jamaican young lady said someone smells like this oil we use in Jamaica to put a spell on a lover your pursuing! I never said it was me but after that I never wore it again to work! So yeah there’s some kind of mystique about the vetiver note!
I have been loving vetiver since I first smelled the actual vetiver , then I smelled it in encre noire and Roja parfums vetiver . Looking forward to trying Encre noire ala extreme.
Great list! And also your videos is so calming. My favorite vetiver is Lunar Vetiver by Amoroud. Magic fragrance, so bright, airy and juicy. You definitely need to try this.
@@stayfreshproductions great! maybe you already had or should wait for a video about men's fougerais in the future? it would be very interesting to see.
Roja Parfums Vetiver is the only fragrance I own with Vetiver in the name or as the main note. Even if you’re not a huge vetiver lover it is just absolutely divine and the only one I need. I reserve it for more formal occasions as it has a very mature feel, almost too mature for me like most Vetivers. My wife feels the same way, likes it a lot, but bordering on too mature. She was surprised when I first wore it (first date as husband and wife at an upscale Italian restaurant for dinner.). But it is so good. It can be replaced with Guerlain Vetiver at a much better price. As far as my fragrance I wear the most that has prominent vetitiver I would say Masculine Pluriel by MFK. TDH very nice too I like the pure parfum.
Guerlain is not a designer brand ! It's the oldest Perfume House ! They don't have clothes- just cosmetics. Perfumes are their main product . I don't know why ppl say it's Designer- not true :)) I love their frags, I have to try Vetiver.
I love vetiver, not my number one accord but love it. Guerlain's Vetiver though I never gave it a full wear, probably because it is a bit too soft and mainstream. I wore both Encre Noir and I prefer the Extreme for sure, its woody, dry and sweet at the same time, love it. Probably the best example for a niche quality perfume for around $30!! Terre d' Hermes literally grabbed from the street and into the Hermes outlet in Vancouver back in 2006 when it was first released. It is my absolute favorite vetiver scent. A bit polarizing, but definitely niche quality and a timeless classic. Not familiar with Lo Loden, Hemingway or incident diplomatique. Absolutely worth trying from your description.
Agree with this list among the ones I have. Encre Noir and Terre. I'll check out some of the others. Some others to try out would be Joseph Abboud Black Linen ... similar to Terre ... but with a more mineral note ... Bentley Wild Vetiver ... very dry and open, almost spicy, and Givenchy's Vetyver, which is a dry vetiver classic similar to Guerlain but easier to wear IMO.
Another great video Justin! Kinda surprised you didn't bring up Encelade considering how much you like Ganymede. I'm not usually a vetiver person but it's done well there. Unusual, but mass appealing (people like it on me at least).
Terre d'hermes is such a strange fragrance. For me, TdH was a masterpiece from the start, and I almost argue that it's not an enthusiast fragrance, but a beginner with amazing versatility. I understand that u are coming from the average person, but that's why I think it's so strange. TdH has the ability to make most people love it and make it their signature, while also repulsing a large population of people who smell it. I don't think I can say that about another fragrance. Truly an enigma!
I don't have a problem with VETIVER. But my reaction to Terre D'Hermes OG was exactly similar yours at first. Vetiver: always classy, mysterious/intriguing and unique, especially to the amateur nose. Justin I've always loved to have Jovoy Incident Diplomatique... In fact I just love the name. May be one day, before I die, I will have the privilege to put my amateur nose on it.... Hopefully. Thanks for the video, Justin. Regards to Madam Fresh. 👍
Thank you for that review, Justin. I was on a Caribbean cruise ship that was selling a fragrance called Vetiver. Not sure what the other ingredients were but the juice smelled good and my wife liked it too. I didn’t pull the trigger because I wasn’t sure of it’s quality or longevity. I sprayed it on my cotton shirt and couldn’t smell it a couple hours later so I’m glad I didn’t purchase it. What would you say has the best longevity and projection of all the vetiver frags you reviewed?
Great video Justin!!! Love this content especially about Vetiver. I’ve been on the hunt for one with the longevity of Terre d’ Hermès but keep coming up short. Which of these comes close to the OG? Thanks
Wow! What a coincidence Justin. I've just spotted Guerlain Vetiver in your thumbnail and guess what I received in the mail today....? The very same! It's actually my first scent of 2023 and the only one missing from my classic Guerlain collection. Also, Terre d'Hermes is a very special fragrance for me. It was one of my first more upmarket designer purchases. I recall smelling it for the first time and being completely mesmerised. So an instant love. Amouroud Lunar Vetiver is worth exploring (a wonderful creation a bit similar to TF Grey Vetiver but with an earthy undercurrent) as is Nishane Sultan Vetiver although it's definitely more challenging as it contains 3 or 4 types of vetiver, giving it a complex cocktail of notes that are clean, smokey and earthy - definitely not for everyone.
@@sethgyan Yes, a blind buy but I have a few other vetiver scents so I knew what to expect. I already own TF Grey Vetiver (a clean vetiver), Encre Noire (a damp, earthy vetiver) and Amouroud Lumar Vetiver (a mix between the 2). The Guerlain is straight up vetiver but it also has a dual aspect so both clean and slightly earthy. I'm glad I purchased it.
@@sethgyan Terre d'Hermes was one of the first fragrances I ever owned so for me its rather special. Guerlain Vetiver is very different affair as it doesn't have the dirty orange note of Hermes. Instead it's more grassy. I only sprayed it about 5 hours ago but its still projecting strongly and it gets more classy as it dries down ie less earthy and increasingly clean. Unfortunately straight up vetiver can be very polorising, you either like it or hate it. It's also more suited to a mature audience. If you are after something more youthful I would suggest you get your nose on Aaron Terence Hughes Guapo.
I must be one of the two-three people that didn’t like Encre Noire A L’Extreme at all. I gave it away. Didn’t really capture me. I enjoy the original EDT and even Sport over it.
I must give you the props because you definitely deserve it. You have to be one of the best describers of fragrances in all of Fragcomm.
Thank you so much 🙏🏾

Maybe that’s because the Vetiver is hidden in other things, but Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum has become my favorite woody scent.
Eau Sauvage Parfum is definitely quite vetiver heavy! Almost included it here.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried any fragrance that’s vetiver dominant but because of this video, I need to!
Another great video. I think I'm beginning to like Vetiver. Thank you for the video.
I had the same experience with T d’H EDT. Love it!
I have all the Encre Noire versions, as well as the Guerlain. I have a sample of Hemingway. I need to get Terre Hermes!
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is bangin!💥💥💥💥
TY just showed me this video; I'd never seen your channel before. Let me tell you, I love the way you narrate the scents, and that pie chart was an excellent way to explain visually how a scent works in the air. Another great "Fraghead channel" on my list, Thanks for the content ~
Thanks for watching Jose
Thank you!
Thank you! Love Roja's Vetiver. It's very close to the Guerlain in scent, and the Guerlain is cheaper. So it made more sense as a starter Vetiver.
Great format of this video.I think Nuit de Megeve from Eight & Bob is criminally underrated.
Great scent.
Hi, Justin!
Love your content. It is so unique and outstanding
Please consider making a video from this series regarding mineral fragrances
Peace!
Thank you!
It must be something about Justin’s but we must be blessed with style. Instant sub brother. Keep up the great work
Thank you fellow Justin!
This is really interesting and a brilliant idea/topic. I'm just at the intro. Had to pause for making this comment. Looking forward to the rest of the video.
I blind bought banana republic linen vetiver, i started falling in love with vetiver now i love it
He bro Justin, great video yeah I love vetiver ❤and I do have a few in my collection, nishane sultan vetiver, roja vetiver perfume , mancera vetiver sensual , different company sel de vetiver , tom ford grey vetiver etc and have a wonderful week peace ✌️ 🇬🇧
Superb implementation this well constructed format, very much looking forward to more in this series
Thank you!
Enjoyed the video I also love vetiver and have 3 that you mentioned among others
Dr Copeland OMG you got so much to talk about.
You can talk about sweet fragrances earthy fragrances night fragrances day fragrances fun fragrances, serious fragrances, gym fragrances walk fragrances, this is endless. Keep it up Dr Copeland
Thank you Javier. I have extended this series extensively since this video.
Thank you!
TDH has always been the quintessential “daytime men’s Cologne” to me. Reminds me of the springtime in Florida
Nice review and recommendations, I've gone with the Guerlain Vetiver and just ordered it on line. Cheers.
Hope you enjoy it!
Excellent, very thoughtful presentation. I appreciate this guy's videos.
Thank you Frank
Sup Justin! I can't get enough Terre D'Hermes EDT and Roja Vetiver! Amazing stuff.
Vetiver Oriental by Serge Lutens is for me, the finest and best vetiver fragrance I've ever smelled... just beautiful and divine. While I also enjoy TdH, I prefer the Parfum version more than the OG EDT, and find it more approachable and wearable for all occasions.
Terre d'Hermes Eau intense vetitver is a really good one too. Not praised enough.
Mei Fusciuni’s Spirito is the most FABULOUS vetiver fragrances out.
I like the new format!
Thank you! :)
Love this video idea!!! As an intrigued beginner, I do find it hard to navigate different notes and pinpoint what I do and don't like. Super helpful series (I hope) - thank you!!
Thank you!
I was just like you with the Hermes, hated it and then loved it a year later. It’s really important to go through progressions when it comes to different fragrances. My journey started back in 2017 and the many things I didn’t like then, I absolutely love and appreciate now!
Montale - Red vetiver, The different company - Sel de vetiver, Guerlain - Frozen vetiver, Mancera - Vetiver sensuel
My first vetiver is the original Guerlain Vetiver and it is fantastic. Using it as a signature daily.
Jaques fath!!! Just discovered Bel Ambre and Velours Boise, if you get a chance Justin, get your hands on these two. I think you might like then
I have them both and they are fantastic 🔥
@@stayfreshproductions eyyyy let’s go! Polarized gang! 😂😂
Great video i love vétiver from Guerlain, lalique all the way to terre d'Hermès....i need to purchase or experience one from the niche side..
Love vetiver, thanks for this.
Loving the series!!
Thank you!
Sultan Vetiver is great. I don't own it yet.
Hey JC another great video! Congrats on 60K subs!! Keep doing your thang!!!
Thanks man 🙏🏾
If you want a crash course in the polar extremes of vetiver, check out two fragrances from Bruno Fazolari / FZotic.
That being said, I don't know all the scents in this vid, but, the 3 I know, I'd put like this:
1. Beginner: TDH. Seems the more approachable to me.
2. Intermediate: Guerlain vetiver. Vetiver is the star of the show, but it's in a big band, so to say.
3. enthusiast: encre noire. Starts vetiver and dies vetiver. It's a solo concert.
IMO ...
I tend to agree with you. I only have TdH and GV for now.
I guess that puts me in Level 2.
Great list / Idea….
I would say…
A “beginner” vetiver would be a fragrance were the vetiver is noticeable, but perhaps not the only accord / main accord you could focus on..
Something along the lines of Karl Lagerfeld Bois de Vetiver or Mercedes Benz Silver.. Very fresh and clean “vetiver” fragrances that are even easier to wear (for most) then Grey Vetiver / Guerlain Vetiver..
If you like those… Then jump to TF GV, etc…
Just my 2-cents / how I think of it.
I fell in love with terre dermes edt the moment I first sniffed it.
Great Video Mr. Copeland.
Thank you!
Great list! And also your videos is so calming.
My favorite vetiver is Lunar Vetiver by Amoroud. Magic fragrance, so bright, airy and juicy. You definitely need to try this.
I have Lunar Vetiver and love it.
@@stayfreshproductions great! maybe you already had or should wait for a video about men's fougerais in the future? it would be very interesting to see.
@@underrottensky I have done a couple videos on that, but I may do another in the near future 🙏🏾
I don't know why ppl say it's Designer- not true :)) I love their frags, I have to try Vetiver.
lol - i went right for the Terre D’Hermes … the first time i smelled it, it sent chills down my spine …
Great video and choices. Vetiver is an adult fragrance note
Thank you
I love vetiver, not my number one accord but love it.
I think you might enjoy Incident Diplomatique!
Gulerian vetiver This perfume is popular in India specially in summer season
I'm glad some RUclipsr picked it up rather than blue de channel crap
I bought this one in France, Amazing. Thanks bro
No problem 👍
Layer Cedrat Boisee by Mancera lightly over Terre D’ Hermes EDP or Intense Vetiver and it’s something special.
Proraso has a cypress and vetiver line that smells clean. It’s not my favourite of their scents but vetiver fans might dig it.
Another great video Justin! Kinda surprised you didn't bring up Encelade considering how much you like Ganymede. I'm not usually a vetiver person but it's done well there. Unusual, but mass appealing (people like it on me at least).
I’ve yet to try it!
Cowboy Grass sets my world on fire
I have Encre noir and Guerlain vetiver and love them. For some reason I'm not sure why I love these since though they're kind of funky
Great presentation!!!!
Great video!
OOH, OOH, do ginger next, please!!! 😁
I'm working on my collection 🔥💪🏽
Great video Justin!!! Love this content especially about Vetiver. I’ve been on the hunt for one with the longevity of Terre d’ Hermès but keep coming up short. Which of these comes close to the OG? Thanks
Thanks for watching. Incident Diplomatique has great performance.
How did you find it. Did you blind buy it?
@@sethgyan Yes, a blind buy but I have a few other vetiver scents so I knew what to expect. I already own TF Grey Vetiver (a clean vetiver), Encre Noire (a damp, earthy vetiver) and Amouroud Lumar Vetiver (a mix between the 2). The Guerlain is straight up vetiver but it also has a dual aspect so both clean and slightly earthy. I'm glad I purchased it.
@@sandymcconnell1969 So I only smelled Terre D'hermes. How far is it from Terre D'hermes. Is it more wearable and youthful?
@@sandymcconnell1969 Thanks for the feedback.
I must be one of the two-three people that didn’t like Encre Noire A L’Extreme at all. I gave it away. Didn’t really capture me. I enjoy the original EDT and even Sport over it.
