    The speech pretty much did the trick for me! Foxen is entirely capable of firing that final bullet with air cos i'm positive that he pretty much knew where you' re at. That was before you said that about the "unexpected ace". Your image of generally being sincere in your table talk helped you there. Changed his perspective and "led him" to do what you wanted. But hey, that's just me.

    • @dnegspoker
      @dnegspoker  Год назад +36

      That was exactly why I said it, all the reasons you listed hoping he would think I have at least an Ace

      @@dnegspoker It's an incredible extra asset to have in live poker, successful, on-point table talk, that is. The vast majority of new-era players like me are "robots". And even if some try it, most of the times feels forced and fails. My guess is you sort of have to be a natural. To have a certain type of personality. I wonder: a) did you always have it from the get-go? b) did someone (like Scotty Nguyen for example or maybe a coach) "inspire" you to start incorporating it to your game? With your own, unique style of course. c)learned and evolved it by trial and error all on your own?

    Using counterfeited two pair as a bluff, when board pairs like this, is a perfect example of the GTO machine not being relevant until a certain - pretty high - level. A loooooot of players never ever fold top trips, regardless of kicker. Exploitive very much comes into it here imo, and you need to be damn sure, it's a spot and an opponent who has a fold in them.

    My initial read on your reaction to the riv was more indicative of how horrible that card was for your hand. Unsure if the gut would've felt the same if I didn't see the hole cards preceded by the whole explanation of how the turn was only okay - a standard always call never checkraise spot. Also how A and 8s pretty much kill your hand..
    If Foxen hated you vs being friendly I wonder if he took the time to really think about your vocal reaction to that riv would he have pulled the trigger 🤔

I think the other guy even tried to sue them for the 50-100k he lost. I'm a long time fan Daniel, but what they did WAS and IS cheating. I dealt poker 13 years. What they did was unacceptable.

      Nonsense bro. I have nothing vested in any of them and dont care either way but with a basic understanding of ICM and knowing how fucking good bicknell is at poker nothing there is blantant or cheating. Shouldnt be saying stuff like that even online, why do dealers always gossip so hard you guys are like 9 year old girls its crazy.
      Look up "Kristen bicknell folds" she has laid down bigger hands in bigger spots more than once (also right in those spots). Why would they be more aggressive to each other when almost on par vs a short stack. How the fuck is that evidence? She is just very very very good.

      @@davecox7199 I'll tell you what Dave. Next time you are playing for $100k in a tournament and two people work together to help each other win, then tell me if you feel cheated. I never said she and him weren't really really good. But every poker vlogger out there covered it and as I did, concluded it was cheating. Collusion IS cheating.

    In terms of growing the game, Nick Schulman has to be the worst commentator in poker. I don’t doubt his poker knowledge, but it’s sad how far we’ve fallen from the greats like Mike Sexton, Vince van Patton, Gabe Kaplan, even Lon and Norm from the WSOP.
