fair point in regards to the direct pot odds you’re being laid, but this fails to take in consideration the ICM situation. Let me start off by saying that I am NOT a pro, but I do play a lot of local friendly games. Having watched Daniel for many years, I would have definitely put a weak A in his range the way it played out pre flop. Limp, call the raise pre flop. Then he leads out every street after. Now he is absolutely good enough to not only let me believe but make me believe that was exactly what he had. So just like his opponent here I would question myself after the river, but I would definitely have folded as well. I would have folded to any bet having put the weak A in his range from the start and believing that his crap kicker hit on the flop. Thank you for this channel, Daniel I really enjoy hearing about your thought process.
I wish I knew half of what you're talking about. I've been a typical home player for more than 10 years. My range is everything from 7/2 off to AA suited :)
What I’m really curious about is what you do if he raises you all-in after you bet 300k? As some random guy he really could have AQ, sometimes the easiest way to handle limpers is just to limp behind, especially with a lot of players behind you, bc when one of them raise you can see what the limper does when it gets back to them. did they limp trap? Will they fold? (probably unlikely dnegs limp folds but before that tournament youd think it was unlikely he limps at all 😅) He could also easily have A7, A3, 3s & 7s, and sometimes even 54s. Just curious if you pray and call or you think “this is a guy who doesn’t want to leave he’s not doing this with air” and fold. I’m not very good at poker but I thought it was great how you shoved bc yeah sometimes he’s got AQ or a set or something, but most of the time he doesnt, and at least by shoving first, you have him covered by a lot, and you take away his ability to bluff you. bc I imagine if he shoves after another 300k bet you’re in a pretty tough position even if you know he _probably_ doesn’t have it.
Everyone in the chat of Hustler Live Casino was asking for you as the most wanted player to see. 1 million dollar buy-in game coming in May. Has Dnegs written all over it. 🤘
Daniel, a few questions : 1.How much was the buy-in for that tournament ? ... 2.How much should a player have aside as "poker money", in order to be able to afford a buy-in around 500k, which I am guessing was about the buy-in for that ? ... 3.If 24 players paid 500k each, meaning 10,2mil and prizes were 7,2 mil, what value did the organizers offer, that justified them walking away with almost 3mil ? Why didn't the players just hire a few dealers and do it on their own ?

I agree, anything new you want to study in life you start from the theory. As my guitar teacher used to say: "the moment you decide that you have nothing more to learn and you reached your maximum you start to stagnate and go down".
Hey Daniel, you mention in the first hand that your 300k open bet after the turn was to charge any draws. What type of sizing would you expect to see if YOU had the draw? I am trying to put myself in Jager's shoes and decipher if I can get a read on your hand through your bet size but I'm having trouble deciding what size you would go with on a diamond/straight draw as opposed to having it?
Let’s say you do bet 300k on River and he jams all in. Would be hard too have bluffs there with so little behind for you to call? He could be slow playing AA ( even though you block). He could have QQ calling you down thinking you were betting on flush draw. I think if he jams, there’s a chance you find a fold ( more unlikely but also could have AQs , 45s )
Fair point about jamming on the 300k bet with 0 fold-equity being a super-strong looking move, but the problem with it is the same thing that makes it look strong, he has exactly 0 fold-equity against anything short of a pure bluff. Yes he could have you beat, but at that point you're paying 150k to win almost 2 million, giving you better than 12 to 1 on the call, meaning he has to have you beat well over 90% of the time for a fold to be something to consider for Daniel.
@@barscus I do think u have to call but would feel like you are beat. I know AA QQ most likely raise pre but could of been looking for a squeeze and then decide to slow play

Hard to disagree with a master like Daniel, but... I feel like a check on the river is the better move. If you're prepared to jam or even bet 300, you should be ready to call 450. Most importantly, it leaves him in the position to believe you missed a big draw or over played and his Ace is good, and he'll shove it for you. If he checks you're still no worse off.
Hey Mr. Negreanu I've been following your career for a very long time. You and Ivey are my favorite. I enjoy your open analytical approach, and Phil's Jordan like killers instinct . I would very much like to go through a training program that can help me think about the game the way you do. If you can, please supply me with the information on a program that you approve of. I'm an above average player with a few final table appearances at the bicycle club here in LA. I'm looking to gain a deeper level of thinking when playing. Also, if you are ever in the area I would be happy to play a round of golf with you at Riviera country club. Have a nice day
When there are many hands that beat you and your opponent calls 300k to see the river. Then comes a Q which is heavily in favor of one of the hands you’re worried about…you then shove it in and hope for a fold.
i clocked on to the fact that the guy was sweating and shaking, as if he may have known that he was beat. he really didnt like the blank because he started shaking. and then the river, his head was shaking a bit so i mean that doesnt scream strength. so mabye even if you value bet him 300k he may have folded. i dont know if you picked that up daniel but still a great hand.
Funny to see the A 8 of clubs, played a tournament yday and made a big mistake. So I was short stack on final table with 70k chips. bb at 10k aiddy. So I wanted to jam pick up the blinds right? but then someone jammed before me but instead of questioning I kind of just took the gamble and called. He had queens. I think the plan to jam wasnt too bad but alarm bells shouldve gone off on the all in. AS my only outs against another all in are most likely just Aces or a flush. Such a dumb call cost me the tournament 😪
@@TripodianTT Hmm I see, I thought it was a major bad call as pros wouldve probs folded to an all in with 7 bb left imo but not sure either. think it was defo improvable, thanks for the comment tho

He can count the cards to an astonishing aura to know close to what you have in your hand. NEGREANU THE RAIN MAN OF POKER!!!!! ((CLAPPING))!!!! Personally I would never enter a tournament that he is in period!
But if you were bluffing you want him to fold, so are you raising large with your bluffs and small with your value? I personally don't think it was a mistake
Why call the turn if you’re gonna fold the river. Either fold the turn or go all the way and call the river. You can’t be calling the turn for 300K with only 450K behind expecting to improve your hand and then fold when you don’t.
Hi this has nothing to do with this video just 2 things. I should say I’m by no means studied so idk what im talking about. 1st I feel like the best tourney would be one where you never showed your hand. Let’s say I have 2 aces someone bets big. I call and flop another Ace we get to the river and they check it to me I have the best hand, I feel, so I’m going all in every time. So that’s a bad example. But why when someone has a top pair River gets checked to them they check also. But if pot was let’s say 1m and there was. 125,000 raise they’d call it. You know you have top pair and you’re probably going to win why not try to squeeze a little more money or stop everyone from showing your cards. 2nd thing this might be a better question How do you bet middle pair? So let’s say you have J 8 suited and you raise BB. 65k Flop comes it’s J 7 9. And let’s say 9 was suited for your flush. So you have a really nice hand. So how do you bet the 7. I saw something similar to this where another 7 came up on turn. But it seems best to try to play as if you have middle pair. Idk 🤷♀️
Great way to start my day. Super interesting to hear your hand breakdowns. Glad more are coming. Thanks 😁

Love this!! Thanks Dneg
Brilliant analysis. “Your are officially never invited to our game ever again”🤑
thanks for the knowledge kid 😁😍
Have a nice day
I’ll take you up in the round at riv but can’t help too much with the poker coaching 🙃
Hey CJ, I work for Daniel. Send me a message on Twitter @twoacesgolf or email me at twoacesgolf@gmail.com. Thanks.
Check out his and Phil Iveys Masterclasses
When there are many hands that beat you and your opponent calls 300k to see the river. Then comes a Q which is heavily in favor of one of the hands you’re worried about…you then shove it in and hope for a fold.
Thanks Daniel, i appreciate you.
i clocked on to the fact that the guy was sweating and shaking, as if he may have known that he was beat. he really didnt like the blank because he started shaking. and then the river, his head was shaking a bit so i mean that doesnt scream strength. so mabye even if you value bet him 300k he may have folded. i dont know if you picked that up daniel but still a great hand.
You beat Jager in the one that mattered. Sick spot though. Hoping he wasn’t “taking a shot” and is a man to whom 300k is nothing?
always such great breakdowns, appreciate it!
Daniel has a huge advantage in limped pots because the rest if the pros hates it lol, but it gives Daniel value in spots many other miss
Good job Daniel
he would have probably played AQ that same way and just called at the end
Funny to see the A 8 of clubs, played a tournament yday and made a big mistake. So I was short stack on final table with 70k chips. bb at 10k aiddy. So I wanted to jam pick up the blinds right? but then someone jammed before me but instead of questioning I kind of just took the gamble and called. He had queens. I think the plan to jam wasnt too bad but alarm bells shouldve gone off on the all in. AS my only outs against another all in are most likely just Aces or a flush. Such a dumb call cost me the tournament 😪
You were shot before that lol
@@TripodianTT Hmm I see, I thought it was a major bad call as pros wouldve probs folded to an all in with 7 bb left imo but not sure either. think it was defo improvable, thanks for the comment tho
12.50 - “one of the thought processes that went through my head was to fold…” OH MY GOD YOU WERE REALLY GONNA FOLD THAT?? Ohhhh I see you meant twofold
Great table draw for daniel
This video is the equivalent of tanking on the table, my biggest mistake was when I won a 1.5 m pot 😂
Do not fall for the scam from WhatApp. This person is not Daniel Negreanu.
Pete Weber, the legend
If you would’ve went 250K on turn and another 250 or 300K on river that would’ve worked but hindsight is always 20/20
The mind of a genius
This is the best poker player in the world.
Hardest line in sports came from bowling. That's too funny
Tough spot means you need courage to continue. 😆 gamed.
Played to perfection I thought but Daniel being critical there is why he’s one of the goats.
I just have to say, my god I hate Justin Bonomo with every fibre of my being
Once again im asking for the outro song!

@@TwoAcesGolf YURRRRR TY
He can count the cards to an astonishing aura to know close to what you have in your hand. NEGREANU THE RAIN MAN OF POKER!!!!! ((CLAPPING))!!!! Personally I would never enter a tournament that he is in period!
The rare time when a blocker bet makes sense.
I don’t know how Bluechew and Daniel haven’t partnered up yet considering how many men watch poker, and how often Daniel uses the word ‘limp’….
T he psychology of that thought🤜

Would love to see some videos about actual mistakes where he loses.
Why you never ever joined any of the Triton super high rollers?
LIMPY LIMPY POWWW ! HOW YA LIKE DANIEL NOWWW , POT 💰 💰 💰

Sweet Music
When you went all in Jager looked like he just got news his puppy had died.

Limp strat will never work in small games, everyone will just limp back
Daniel your slick but I saw that peak your good
Honestly bro I hope if we ever play together you don’t do your voodoo magic communication against me 😂
I think he's actually trying to tilt Jager and cause him to shove his stack
On the 2nd hand featured, Petrangelo had 2.2mil at that point, you would NOT have been the chip leader if you Worre had shoved and you lost.....
His body language gave it all away.
Why is AJ suited considered a limp? I thought that is a strong hand
He said something to that effect
AJ suited could’ve/should’ve raised from there
Cheers
@@VVeZoX Yeah I know, Daniel said that Jager was limping too
@@Joe-xo4yg Ahh okay, kinda makes sense. Cheers
You go on a swindlers show and now you want to call out Ali 😮😮😮
2nd thing this might be a better question
How do you bet middle pair?
So let’s say you have J 8 suited and you raise BB. 65k Flop comes it’s J 7 9. And let’s say 9 was suited for your flush. So you have a really nice hand. So how do you bet the 7. I saw something similar to this where another 7 came up on turn. But it seems best to try to play as if you have middle pair.
Idk 🤷♀️
