I’m a member of the Qantas ground staff at Sydney airport, and when we were in training we were given tours of all the aircrafts Qantas operates out of Sydney, but the only cockpit we got to see was the A380 and it was absolutely marvellous!!!
I’ve only been in an A380 once. It was British Airways LAX-LHR and even though I went economy, I managed an exit row seat so there was good leg room. I loved the A380 and can’t wait to go again. I really enjoy the review videos. My favorite so far is Emirates
11;16 ,I like that part when the pilots gave him a tour in the cockpit. This shows that how much kind Qantas and the Australians are.I like Qantas beside Emirates and I also like Australia beside UAE.
How do you know that it will ALWAYS be your favourite airline? It`s like an english football player once said: I never predict anything and I never will. ;-)
I never thought the a380 was this luxurious I notice Qantas but never thought about their service being this professional and sophisticated. The lounge was very nice the look of a restaurant makes it even more seductive, I never been to australia but hope to visit someday. Get back to your seat thanks for the tour.

I feel fortunate to have have flown this iconic aeroplane and experienced a take off speed and inclination more akin to a rocket lifting off , truly memorable .

Great vlog, thanks! Very thorough. I have been lucky enough to travel first class three times on Qantas with frequent flyer upgrades. Hopefully upgraded again when we’re off to London next April from Melbourne, Australia. Well worth the strive for points. At this stage I only travel Qantas.
I've flown on the Qantas A380 First Class twice and found it to be a very good experience. There are always going to be better examples from time to time and Qantas will probably upgrade at some point and turn the tide. This happens in the airline industry all the time. Thank-you for the video, you just saved me thousands of dollars. 1) SAFETY - unlike many airlines, Australian and New Zealand commercial pilots spend an enormous amount of time and money gaining flying experience in multiple types of aircraft. This is done via the military or regional airlines. They need this experience just to get the opportunity to get an entry level job with the major carriers. Airmanship and learning how to really fly the plane without all the modern equipment is a strong focus. Many of the fast growing airlines have pilots with hardly any experience before moving to commercial airliners. 2) QANTAS FIRST CLASS - Well this was VERY DISAPPOINTING. The standard seems MUCH HIGHER with many other airlines. Your meal looked like a school project. The service staff looked like they tolerated you. Qantas First Class, lets just call it Premium Business instead. Where has the Krug or Dom Perignon gone, where is the wonderful Australian lobsters etc. This flight costs around $7,500 AUD.
I thought the same, it reminds me of the cubicles in my high school library and that’s going back to 1995 lol. I think Emirates are the market leaders in first & business class luxury these days
My favorite airline? A whole lot of people are going to disagree with me for reasons I know, but it's Delta Airlines. This is purely personal and sentimental. I was born in New Orleans and grew up in a little town near Baton Rouge. Delta started as a crop dusting company in Louisiana. When I was a kid, they were the only airline we had. The first time I got on a plane was also the first time I was traveling by myself. I was 12 years old, flying from Baton Rouge to Miami to visit my aunt and uncle. Bear in mind that this was in the mid 70's when airline passengers dressed up for the occasion. So there was twelve-year-old me. In a suit. By myself. Flying for the first time. The captain, the co-pilot and all the flight attendants made those flights so much fun for me that I'll never forget it. (That's flights -- plural. It's Delta. I had to change planes in Atlanta. Around here we say that, when you die, it doesn't matter whether you're going to Heaven or Hell. You still have to go through Atlanta.) On the way back, we took off from Miami to Atlanta -- but Atlanta got shut down because of bad weather and we got diverted to Tampa. So I spent like four solid hours getting a tour of all the behind the scenes stuff at the airport in Tampa before they decided to fly me back to Miami until the weather in Atlanta cleared up. Oddly, that was the most incredible part of the whole trip. Later, when I got into Harvard, I needed a summer job and applied to be a baggage handler for Delta in Baton Rouge. I didn't take that job because something better came along. Still. That first time flying was with Delta, and it meant a lot, and their folks made it fun for me when it could have been scary, so if I run into the occasional customer service problem with Delta (and I do), I just treat that as them tapping into a well of goodwill they earned with me when I was a kid. (I'm 57 going on 58 now.) Your experience may be different, that's fine, that's your experience with Delta, and I totally understand. I'm just speaking about me, and I'm biased. Which I fully admit.
To call it a suite is also a misnomer. It's more of a shell. Qantas staff are unrefined: The lady who escorted you to your seat simply left your boarding pass there and walked off. That is not 'first class'.

I hope one day I can see more of the world and at this level of comfort and luxury.
Unless they serve eggs benedict at the a la carte brekky, I will not fly first class...:-)...errrr...well...maybe.....damn, my tongue is stuck in my cheek!
United Computers how does your tongue get stuck in your cheek?

I love all your videos a big fan. My favorite airlines are Qantas. American. British Airways. Emirates, Cathay. Japan Airlines. Loved the cockpit view on this video. Happy New Year and keep up the good work. ;)
Thank you for the amazing compliment. Did not know that I had 'fans' :). Wish you a very happy 2017 as well.
My favorite airlines is Aeroflot
Steve Nugget Hi
Jawad seghroushni Saw it too
how thoughtful and polite if the captain to grant you access to the flight deck before departure.
Quantas A380 1st class is very 'ordinary' compared to Singapore Airlines.
Looks like a public library cubicle
Nice. The First Class cubicle reminds me of a comfortable reading space.
my favourite airline is SWISS 😁☺️
I'm one of your new subscriber and now become your fan, i got so motivated after watching all your videos. Thank you for all your awesome videos, God Bless You.. 😊
Thank you for your kind comment
@@luxurytravelexpert your welcome :))
True (y)
Great videos, calm and informative...great job!
thx
you have to fly in Etihad Residence on the A380
I already did: ruclips.net/video/WuxTWr2Ol44/видео.html
What surprises me the most is that this channel doesn’t have a millions subs.
My favorite airline is jetBlue because of their new accommodations jetBlue Mint
Virgin Atlantic is my favourite airline due to the fact on how they spend so much on catering to the food is always great
Very unluxurious, compared to Etihad, Emirates, Sinapore etc. Quantas needs to rethink it's 1st....
Yea true...no matter what though Qatar always has a special place in my heart
I thought the same, it reminds me of the cubicles in my high school library and that’s going back to 1995 lol. I think Emirates are the market leaders in first & business class luxury these days
@Anth09 Gaming lol it's one letter!
(I'm 57 going on 58 now.)
Your experience may be different, that's fine, that's your experience with Delta, and I totally understand. I'm just speaking about me, and I'm biased. Which I fully admit.
To call it a suite is also a misnomer. It's more of a shell.
Qantas staff are unrefined: The lady who escorted you to your seat simply left your boarding pass there and walked off. That is not 'first class'.
Wow! Amazing you got in the cockpit. Hopefully one day i can also take a look in there.
