Great little amp
Me too man. I got it from my mom as an Xmas gift in 2004 (mg30dfx) . Its seen a lot of use i think its time for an upgrade. Its paid its way in spades. Its more sentimental to me than anything. Im really digging those orange amps rn. Been saving for a cabinet and head. Great amp for the price.

@@Anshul1614 It really is, now mind you, I don't care for the tone of the amp itself, the cleans are good and the distortion is alright, but I've always used processing pedals with it.
Bought this one back in 2006 or 07 and now in 2024 I'm still using it. It has one of THEE BEST sounding low gain crunch distortion sound which is completely free from these annoying 10kHz frequences you get on 90% of pedals and amps. I love this thing for studio recording and jamming at home. My go to low gain distortion sound in a non-live setup! If you can get your hands on one, grab it!
How much would you say it cists
I play rhythm and some lead guitar in a working cover band for the last twenty years, and the amp has served me well whether it's a low volume wedding, or playing on a large outdoor stage.
It's a great little, ah wow just goes to show they were built to last 👌
Is it loud enough for a drummer?
This amp is sick! ive owned the MG50, MG30 and MG15. Mg15 sucks but the 30 and 50 are one of the best sounding clean amps ive heard, also they do the mid gain rock tones really well
Totally agree great little amps I hear the mg100 also has 2 od channels. Clean was nice and punchy
The FDD switch shouldn't even be an option, it should be permanently on! Love these amps

I have had the 30watt version for several years as my 'big' amp' (sadly recently sold my 100 watt head and 4x12cab which had been in storage for years and I could no longer justify the cost of storage - and sold for a very large sum ! ) . Great amps - the 50 is good enough to gig with but the 30 dies when pushed hard for long stretches . Good stuff. Have to call you Hank from now on :-) .

I have the MG50FX! (kind of the same amp) and tbh is a really awesome amp, It has been my main amp for ages, for both bass and guitar, is loud as fuck and works amazing with pedals

You may pop the speaker if you over crank it
I used to have an mg30dfx, from memory, the FDD switch was basically a "Sound better" switch!

This was a steal my friend. I just got a second hand MG30FX for £50 and I'm blown away by how versatile this little thing can be.
Also that Jazzmaster looks and sounds beautiful!

Still got this amp after using a marshall 15 cdr for a while.cant ask much from this budget marshall amp.it's sound good.try it out the first time with my single coils fender(MIJ) and my humbucker washburn (wi64) plus I add a metal zone or distortion for some nirvana sound not bad.got try it out with my peavey (tracer) superstrat too and its ok.overall i rate this amp good for people who need a decent sound amp plus price wise and a marshall logo on it.
You can use contack cleaner for the scrachy pots

No prob! People love to hate on this amp for its gain but it's definitely capable of good Marshall tone

What positions would you recommend for the Bass, Contour and Treble please?
Also, do you have any recommendations for the settings for the clean channel please?
I've not used my DG50DFX for years because I got a Blackstar HT-1R which sounds amazing but it's not loud enough for band work and I can't afford a new amp at the moment.
I got one for cheap but the speaker seems to just hum, but the headphone out works great
Decent amp, I had the mg30dfx years ago, wasn’t loud enough with a drummer, should have gone with the 50, I did have a valve state 80 watt with a metal zone in the front which sounded very loud!!😎😎
It's a good little amp, this would keep up with a drummer for sure my ears are still ringing now 😂😂
i use the 30dfx right now, and it definitely keeps up in a full band situation.

Really nice amp Rob. Absolute bargain for £40, better than amps that cost x3 as much maybe even 4. The FDD sounded a lot better on I think especially on the OD channel. The digital effects on the mg series are pretty much useless though apart from reverb. I bet it would sound even better with a guitar with humbuckers. Anyway great video. I posted a demo of the satellite by the way.

I think the MG100 has an extra channel on the OD great amps, I sold it pretty quick too

I bought this amp about a year ago. The effects on mine do not come across nearly as pronounced as the one on this video. Maybe I just don't know enough about how to set the controls but when I turn the knob around from flange to chorus to dly mine just doesn't come across like this one.
Just keep a close eye on what I'm doing should be good
