    @Woodwind&Brasswind Hello, I just bought this amp and I had a question… Whenever I switch from either Crunch or OD1/OD2 to the Clean channel I am noticing that the Clean channel is very much louder than any of the distortion channels. Also when I engage the FX (either from Clean or Crunch/OD) it also increases the volume significantly. I have tried playing with the Volume & Master Volume but have had no luck in creating a same level volume for Clean, Crunch/OD & FX.
    Clean and FX always make the volume significantly louder when switching to them. Is there a way to accomplish this? Thanks so much!

    • @tjborekvideo
      @tjborekvideo 5 месяцев назад

      I noticed this also with the MG30GFX. The OD2 channel falls apart with Master turned past 1:00 on the dial. I played a 1-hr set in a small bar with the 30-watt 1x10, and it failed me miserably--grossly underpowered for its wattage rating and not enough headroom to properly support the OD1/OD2 channels. I'm currently enjoying the 100-watt half-stack version, but it's too much amp for my most of my needs, so I'm wondering if I can step down to the MG50 or if that would be TOO much of a downgrade.

      Effects Send to a DI box with cabinet simulation (or an IR pedal) connected to the PA should work. Granted, that will probably mute your speaker because you've "opened" the effects loop circuit, and the Master Volume probably won't work. You'd probably need to re-balanced your separate channel volumes through front-of-house.

      I just tested an MG30CFX at my local music store, which is almost the same but smaller, and I really like it, this series of amps has a nice tone and also a very wide range of tones :) from very clean, to some blues, to modern alternative rock, to even thrash metal :) the digital effects may not be the best, but they're not bad either... I think the Marshall MGs Carbon Fibre amps are some of the best, if not the best solid state amps available out there...

    This amp lacks enough gain and ends up sounding muddy even with a mxr fullbore metal this amp ends up still being too muddy no mater what settings. Tested on schecter omen 6 pickups and emg 81/85. Might work out great for some but I didnt like it personally.

      +DragonRoLo , My MG marshall sounds a lot better than my Peavy Classic 30 tube amp.
      The Peavy is aweful with a Lespaul but sounds ok with a strat.

    i've had this amp for about 6-7 years, used luckly for me only for home and rehersal, it is absolute garbage, with time and damage it sounds even worse. Buy yourself a katana if you cannot afford a valve amp trust me. Od channels are terrible, the only one pretty good is the clean but with high volume it drives and becomes glassy.

    • @ninjasancho6711
      @ninjasancho6711 3 года назад

      For sure. I ended up with one and "clean" is the only usable channel. I only run it clean with a little built in reverb + few distortion pedals. It's a fookin tank though. Gets loud and gets the job done and I don't mind if it gets beat to shit.
