Never notice this before from when I first saw the movie. But when Benny holds the Star of David which a Jewish reference (even though historically and the timeline of when the Star of David is used is out of place) and the mummy calls him a slave it mean he was alive in the years when Egypt had the Israelis enslaved. It’s from the Old Testament. Also by the amount of symbols from different religions Benny had he clearly wasn’t from any of them or believe in them.

And also isn't there actual evidence of the Jewish people being in Egypt as slaves. I swear I remember that being the case, but maybe I'm remembering wrong?🤔 [Edit] quick Google search would suggest somewhere between no and disputed. But at any rate that does appear to be what the movie is suggesting.

The chair-throw scene alone is one of the greatest scenes in all of movie history. It's so perfectly done and comes out of nowhere.
