Hey, very cool. There's never a bad time to start pairing! I'm glad you found the video interesting, and hopefully, it inspired you a bit. In case you haven't seen it yet, I've been painting for over 30+ years, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'd love to help out any way I can.
It’s always infuriating to see how simple some artist make this look. Every time I try to apply these methods it never seems to work out. But gotta keep trying so I’ll give your method a go too because it looks awesome!
Thank you. I'm right there with you, or I was at some point in my painting journey. It's probably worth noting that maybe I forgot to note that techniques and methods might seem simple to someone with 30 years of experience but present a complete challenge to others. You're correct, though. Just keep at it, and most of all, have fun! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Thank you, and thanks for watching. Typically, i try to give the reference material in most circumstances. I'm with you on liking to see it when watching others paint.
Great tutorial, Lance! I understand it's a new channel, and you're learning new skills like video editing, which can be pretty daunting. I appreciate your hard work nonetheless. I'm looking forward to more of your art knowledge tutorials. Kudos! Subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for sharing, that's the technique that I use to paint water, I didn't know it was right, because I am not a professional, this video has given me clear comprehension about what I've been doing intuitively.
Thank you for checking the video out. I'm glad you were able to find value in the content. There's probably several ways to paint realism, I've always just wanted to share how I've done it. I'm always open to learning. 😀
I like your paintings 🖌️🎨 and instructions a lot, but it was just the music. Many RUclipsrs do this, loud annoying music. Anyway, thanks a lot I will check on your tips on painting 🖌️. Good luck and have a fantastic day. August S. from Holland.
Never got into floral painting, so I'll have to take your word for it. 😀 Nevertheless, I'd think we would both agree their both far easier than portraits. Lol
Thanks for the input. I've done it in the past. Eventually, I'd like to have a multiple camera set up for such a reason. Baby steps for now. We'll get there. 😀
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. It's actually set to -16 or -20db for the narrative parts. Typically, that suffices, but maybe I've chosen a track to upbeat for narrative. Hence why it's such a distraction.
@@lancehendersonart930You don’t need any music at all. I find music during narration to be stressful and often won’t watch. Why put music to an important video, no need.
I'll probably just avoid it all together during narrative parts. Speaking from my own experience, my hearing has certainly changed over the years, so I'm assuming everyone has different sensibilities. Easy fix. 😀
@@lancehendersonart930 thanks. I find oils more forgiving when creating water particularly when creating the tiny ripples or waves/ reflection .I can achieve the same with acrylic but oil always looks better
That's a spot on assessment. In case you did'nt know, I've only switched to oils in the last few years. Prior to that I was all acrylics. You just can't beat oils for workability, vibrancy, etc..
I’m watching on subtitles as night time but will comment that music during narration is annoying and stressful so please consider no music at all.Love the picture.
Thanks for the compliment, as well as the input. I will definitely be looking into how to eliminate distracting audio in the future. That being said, I appreciate all the opinions and critiques along the way of building better content.
I'm sorry to hear that's what it brought for you. Obviously, that's not the intent I was aiming for with the audio. I am still working my way through the whole editing process, adding audio, etc. I'd gladly accept any suggestions you might have.
Might I suggest watching the full time-lapse video then. This one was meant to only focus on painting water, as the title implies. I've tried to release full time+lapse videos for those who just want to see it start to finish. Even started releasing two with different lengths to accommodate. If you want instructional, then their normally broken into specific topics. Hope this helps.
Excellent demo/tutorial on painting water. Thanks Lance!
Thank you. I appreciate you checking it out. 😀
As someone who just started painting, and is trying a whole bunch of mediums for art, this was very interesting to watch!

To the point with good usable info. Good vid!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing very good painting and expansion

@@lancehendersonart930 thanks Lance. Greatly appreciated.
Wonderful, looking forward to seeing the finished painting.
Thank you. I'm hoping to wrap it up in the next day or two. The full time-lapse should be released close there after.
Very interesting! Can't wait to see the entire thing come together.
Fingers crossed!
Thanks for sharing your painting knowledge!
My pleasure. Hopefully, it was helpful!
Going to be a wonderful painting when completed. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Thank you. I'm hoping to finish it up this week. Make sure to check back in if you're interested in seeing the complete time-lapse video.
great paint and tutorial thanks for sharing. Love to see the reference photo it really helps to make an idea of the colors and initial blocking shapes

Appreciate it. Professional art seems always to be a one person show. We'll get there! 😀
I just found your channel and subscribed, awesome painting and I'm looking forward to more

Wow
Beautiful painting. I want to try your technique. Thank you
Thank you. It's very simple, and with a little practice, you'll get the hang of it in no time. Gimme a yell if I can help in any way.
Beautiful
Thank you! I'll be releasing the full time-lapse this week. If you're interested in seeing the entire start to finish painting.

Thank you, thank you. Always nice to have opinions. I'll never shy away from them while trying to create the best videos possible.
What camera a lens do you use to video when you’re painting?
At the moment their just filmed with an android phone. I'm hoping to upgrade to a designated camera eventually, though.
Bonnisimo.
Thank you
Water is almost as difficult as roses. 😂

Music is fine they can lower it
Thanks for the input. Regardless of the take, I'll be doubling down on my edit to ensure the best quality video releases.

Thanks, and you are welcome. 😀
Shame that you didn't show your pallet

Set your music track Gain to -12db (decibels).

Maybe I missed it. I'm assuming you are working in oil?
My apologies, I do believe I neglected to state the scene was in oils.

Please don´t have Music while talking. Make it difficult to hear your instruktions.
Moving forward, I think everyone should be less distracting. 😀 Thanks for the input.
And the music does what? Frustration, distraction...

Is it about the LOUD ANNOYING MUSIC 🎶 🎶??? I really don't get you. Can play the Music 🎵 MUCH LOUDER 😅. Other re already commented on.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm still working out the kinks in producing good videos. We'll get there!
I won't watch videos that are serialized. If you can't do it in one video, I'm not interested. My time is important to me.

Turn the mute on. Duh!
Either way, I'm gonna double down on my editing to ensure the best quality releases.
Music was too loud and irritating so I stopped watching with one minute.
I'm sorry to hear that; no pun intended. I'm still learning how and what makes for a good video. Don't give up on us, we'll get there. 😀
Bye
Full time-lapse coming next week!!
We're almost there.
