there seems to be no artist who draws like you, it looks real in every detail, very clear, that's in my opinion who doesn't know everything about painting. I'm currently learning to paint and I always follow whatever you teach. I've been painting landscapes, and I think it's not bad. thanks to you

I dab the canvas same way. His dabs become leaves and foliage, my dabs become blobs. So I just watch the video and be happy 😊😊
Theirs no other reason your painting is really realistic, but the things is theirs so many explanations than the painting..

And he is entitled to film a video how he wants….this is his channel after all. He is trying to be informative and share his technique and expertise. He is a professional artist and most people wouldn’t give tips for free, so be grateful he is. If you don’t like, it’s real simple, don’t watch.

Thank you Michael that's so beautiful. It looks so real, I feel I could walk between those trees down that path. Thank you for explaining it so well too and making it easier for us beginners that are just trying to find our way. I'm trying to start again after years away from it. Life got in the way and I missed it. But thanks to You Tube I have great teachers right here at home. Books don't really do it for me, I like to watch and see how its done and what brushes and mediums are used. Although, these days I'm.sure there are really good exceptions and there are brilliant books to be had that are well worth looking at. Are there any books you know of that you would recommend to me and anyone else that's interested. Is there any books you would not be able to do without? Would you please tell us. He doesn't use a canvas. He uses a smooth primed panel

Lol stage one is probably all I could do but I’ve only been a artist for 2 1/2 years and I mainly draw anime but ima keep practicing

I'm amazed at how easily you paint tree limbs. You're able to add so many while making them look very realistic. I know what I need to do - practice, practice, practice.:) Thank you for sharing so much of your wonderful techniques.

Well done but… the brushes, the use of medium and the specificity of each-excellent. I would have enjoyed more discussion of the color mixing and how we (you) are achieving the illusion of light filtering thru the trees. The different effects a canopy of tree branches creates- the filtering, gods rays, the loss of chroma and luminosity. The pattern of the shaded areas - there is a pattern and your brain knows when it is not right. Probably evolutionary wired deep within our brains to detect what is not right about the lower brush least a prey be stalking there. Again well done and I enjoyed it like a Spanish Tapa- I am now hungry for more.
