      ​​​@@Ww2worldwar2à Reims, en mai 1995, j'ai rencontré des vétérans américains venus célébrer le 50 ème anniversaire du Débarquement et visiter la salle de Réddition ( actuel lycée Roosevelt) où la " War Room" a été intégralement conservée... C'était très émouvant car mes parents, nés en 1921 et 1924 étaient encore en vie et se souvenaient parfaitement des heures de la Libération...

    Bravo ! travail remarquable... fascinant cette confrontation des traces du passé et du présent...Ma famille habitait Reims en 1944 et les souvenirs de mes parents rejoignent certaines photos prises lors du débarquement de 44, ce fameux D Day.. Très émouvant !

      En mai 1995, pour les 50 ans de la reddition de l'armée allemande, j'habitais Reims et on croisait dans les rues d'assez nombreux vétérans américains venus visiter l'actuel " Lycée Roosevelt" où on a conservé intacte la " Maps Room", la salle de Reddition qui fut le quartier général des forces américaines en 45...

    Thank you for this very good compilation of history that made us appreciate our home even more. God bless all who fought and died . I'm currently now particularly feeling sad seeing the pictures of Ukraine that I've now seen on the news once again ravaged by war with Russia, a unprovoked aggression. I hope they soon can be at peace again and rebuild their country

    I like to use my two monitors for these 'then' and 'now' videos so that I can pause the video on the left ''then' picture, , and and the right for the 'now' picture to get a good comparison between the two pictures, and then move on....

    I am not questioning the authenticity of the pictures, but the The first picture looks like a post world war 2 picture. It seems like roll up shutters on the left side of the picture and the 2nd floor of that structure looks like a modern looking building.

      The problem here is that the horizontal image needs a certain length in the montage. We will do that and change it. Thank you for these details

    بقيت الارض و ذهب البشر ..... حربين عالميتين منذ اعتقد ١٩١٤ حتى ١٩٤٥ .... هل كان هناك سبب من تلك الحروب و ما الجدوى منها و لماذا .... الله أعطانا الارض التى تسع الجميع لكى نحيا عليها ... فإذا نحن ندمرها.... و النتيجة ان الارض هى التى بقيت و ذهب البشر 😢😢😢😢😢😢
