My blog is doing a lot better than it was 6-9 months ago. I’m at around 120k visitors a month at the moment. Still somehow on page 1 for how to start a blog and other keywords. But I’m ranking for a lot more easier informational keywords related to RUclips and Instagram. So not as lucrative for affiliate revenue but I still have $50k in recurring monthly commissions I still get. It’s definitely a long game and niche selection and building topical authority is more important than ever.

I would identify the top 10 brands in your niche that are highly specific to the topics you talk about. Then send an email to their affiliate or partnerships manager introducing yourself to get the conversation started.
You can make money on RUclips without showing your face, but that’s more of a passive strategy for ad revenue, and possibly affiliate revenue. I think it’s important to show your face to build trust and sell a course in the relationship niche. You could sell a course on anything - saving your marriage, dating, etc. there are a lot of people doing that and making six figures a month.

Is this generic blog model still working? In 2022 you website received almost 1.5 million visitors per month. Now it only receives about 50,000 visitors per month. The same goes for one of your top students, Eddy Balle. He was making about $5,000 per month with your system. Now his website receives ZERO traffic.
According to my Google analytics (and not made up Ahrefs metrics that over and under estimate) my peak in 2022 was 500k/month in the competitive software niche. Pretty much all mid-tier DR 50-80 blogs got pushed down and lost most of their traffic to Forbes, Reddit, etc. Since then I’ve pivoted my strategy (like in this video) and am back to getting 120k visits/month and increasing again. Blogging is a long game and you have to adapt. The same keywords that worked for me in 2019-2022 are not possible now with more competition. But there’s still a lot of opportunity for easy keywords in non competitive niches. But some niches are too saturated and tough now, which is why I also recommend going multi platform and building a true brand via blogging, RUclips, social media, etc.
