- In this vlog I head back to Thorpe Park to get back on some of my favourite rides, speculate on what we might see during Fright nights this year, as well as report on the rest of the changes around the resort.

We were lucky a couple of weeks ago, my daughter and I got front and back row on Hyperia on our very first two rides. Both equally great for different reasons. Keep up the videos, really enjoy them.

I noticed that the Bannana Boat ride was on zero minutes, if they are not going to add any more family rides they might as well take out the Bannana Boat ride and the Frog Hopper Ride and put them in the Jamangi area at Chessington as Chessington really does need the capacity, They could then use the space for a thrill ride.
They are seriously lacking in family flat rides at the moment to the point where what they do have looks a little bit out of place.
I do like the idea of creating a new family area on Amity Beach, I think that would be great. So much extra space could then be freed up elsewhere around the park!

Happy birthday for the other day🎉 Even tho you are 24 now (!) you've got a long way to go to catch me up😂 Had my very first ever visit to TP the weekend before you and l must say l love it! Even Colossus, a bit rough but great fun, especially that quad heartline roll at the end. Rode Saw twice and l now prefer it over Speed at Oakwood - just because it's longer and the lift hill is faster. Back row of Nemesis Inferno is WICKED and any seat on The Swarm is absolutely sublime! Stealth terrified me when l got up close but boy oh boy did l LOVE IT!!!!! That launch ❤❤❤❤ may it NEVER change to LSM! Hyperia of course was the highlight.....could only keep my arms up on the outerbank weirdy thing and that heavenly dive stall......no words❤ Great vlog as ever 😊

The forces on Speed just about win it for me, even though you’re right, it does have a painfully slow lift hill and next to no theming either which is a shame 😔
So glad you enjoyed those coasters and your day at TP overall. They have some incredible rides (and events) which, when combined with great ops, provides you with an epic day out 😍
I was there two weeks ago,I stayed there for three days,stayed in the Shark cabins and Hyperia is amazing,its one of the best coasters I,ve ever ridden despite having ridden many coasters in the US.I was lucky to get a back and front seat,that drop is so intense,I have,nt expirenced anything like it.The outer bank turn and the stall unbelievable.The swarm is amazing too although I,ve ridden Gatekeeper and Wild eagle.I was very surprised how good it was.Thorpe park has the best selection of coasters in the UK.
It really does have some amazing rides, and you’re right about Hyperia, it has elements that you won’t find anywhere else and is a world class experience. I’m glad you had an amazing stay and thanks for watching 👍🏻
Had a first row experience yesterday on a first time visit to Thorpe, the day before we had a rear and row 6 ride, and personally front row is amazing but it’s more intense not being able to spot the turns fully, and as a family we was massively impressed with the park, we did two days with an overnight in one of their “fart box” my kids nickname for it containers, but we still enjoyed it all, as we only had Alton and Oakwood to compare it to in the uk, but for us it’s the best theme park in the uk that gave us a feeling like the parks we have been to in the states….👍🏴🏴
Really glad you enjoyed your first visit to Thorpe Park Wes. It is a fantastic park, especially on a nice day, with a great selection of attractions!
Still haven’t managed my front row yet ☹️ Maybe I’ll get lucky this weekend at Oktoberfest!

@@_adventureplanet great vid thanks, very informative, we will be back next year 100%, yes it was a great 2 days thanks, swarm oustanding and surprising how either side rides totally different, I think Thorpe has the best nemesis by far, and hopefully they can kick on and ad a few more things, a nice dark ride indoor shootum up, like your buzzlightyear or a hunted house, if we see them continuing to push forward that would be fantastic…👍🏴

I definitly think they should put some more family and thrill falts in, maybe even a junior coaster they have the space and Chessington gets so busy and has limited space to expand.
yes, i agree, amnity beach is hardly ever open, much better to replace it with some family flats to replace those that were moved for Hyperia. They need to cater for mixed age groups.

correct get rid of the beach and a few new flat rides in the park a break dance and or a family orbiter, a wave swinger would be great but what is needed most is a trackless indoor dark ride bulldoze ghost train a put it there! also save the parts from slammer and use it for theming of a future rollercoaster called the slammer a wooden coaster.
Some great ideas there Rich. I hope it’s something they look at doing in the near future!
Agreed about the beach and Victory Plaza. Also not a huge fan of the new resins either but I did buy that Colossus one 😋 Will you be at Drayton on Friday 26th?
The resins are ok but I personally preferred the older style, they were cheaper too!

I think Walking Dead should be re themed to make it more family friendly so everyone can ride it.
I would definitely like to see something original back in there. It’s such a fun coaster!

I RECENTLY FOUND OUT X: NO WAY OUT NOW WALKING DEAD IS STILL A ROLLERCOASTER. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ACTING. LMAO. I'VE BEEN SO MANY TIMES AND NEVER WENT ON IT CAUSE I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT'S JUST ACTORS LOL. IM SO MAD

Are the rides at Thorpe as scary as they look? I wanna give them a go but they look very intimidating
I guess it depends on what you define as ‘scary’? Is it Height? Speed? Forces? Inversions? Head down and ‘Find Your Fearless’ on Hyperia, then you know you can conquer anything 😄 But there are quite a few rides that aren’t intimating such as Tidal Wave, Storm Surge, Quantum, Dobble Tea Party, Flying Fish, Depth Charge etc. so you can still go and have a great day!

I thought the same on my first visit last week but l went on all the big rides and would encourage you to do the same, even Stealth and Hyperia which are very imposing up close. They are brilliant rides and l went back for seconds! Even Colossus which is a little rough is a great experience. Just get yourself in the queues and you won't be disappointed ❤
So the world's fastest coaster is the 2nd fastest at thorpe park 😅 to be honest i understand its the tallest but fastest is questionable even on a google search it both says they are 129 km/h the difference must be a pindrop
The worlds fastest ‘accelerating’ coaster is Stealth, but it terms of top speed (in the UK), its second to Hyperia which officially is 81mph. You’re right though, it’s a pretty negligible difference!
I ❤ icon in blackpool he is my baby boy i love him but he has upsetmy tummy before do u think its the forces and infusion as well he rolls over 5 times hipriea is a darling is she faster then icon and do u think she would be to intence for me would u give me gentle hi five if u saw me in person have u been on icon before and infusion willi i have to get more used to the forces more they are at the same level arnt they please send me a reaply hope u had a nice day at thope have u been to towers the home of the smiler she is a girl coster she rolls over 14 times and she is slowband reborn she is a girl as well
Hi Laura! Icon is a fantastic ride and was my UK number one until Hyperia came along 😄 If you’ve ridden rides like Icon, Infusion and The Smiler then you’ll have no problem with Hyperia! Head down to Thorpe Park and ‘Find Your Fearless’, you’ll be really glad you did. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏻
when does amity beach actually open? been several times throughout the years and never seen it open
It’s usually open throughout the summer months but I know it’s been receiving maintenance lately. It should be open by now but it’s possible the maintenance has been delayed…?
