Have a look at Alton Towers, it's set in the grounds of a former country home. The difference is that because the Theme Park is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, no rides can ever be seen from the surrounding areas. This theme park has had to be very clever in how they design their roller coasters, making sure they are below the tree line. This also means they have dug down on many occasions to produce some really intense low level coasters. It is really worth a trip for a couple of days. Also the hotels have a water park included!

cant stress enough how overlooked nemesis inferno is. she's aged like fine wine and i'd even dare to say it's on par with nemesis at towers but comparing them is the most useless thing ever as the layouts give completely different experiences! im glad you had an amazing day at thorpe though, it's such a gem of a park.

However, I love Swarm and it's my favourite at the park but I am going to Hyperia's opening day and that will probably top it. Where would Inferno rank in terms of the inverts you've been on? I think the Walking Dead issue was a copyright thing. I've filmed the preshow on Wickerman at Alton before and they don't care as it's not an IP. 😀
I had a feeling they wanted to piggyback onto Nemesis’ success but wasn’t sure if there was a deeper storyline as well. When it comes to ranking roller coasters… man it is tough 😆 Brittany will have to confirm how many B&M inverts she’s been on but for me I’ve now ridden 23 (if my math is right). I’d say the first one that pops into my mind is always Montu. Maybe we’ll do ranking videos in the future! Funny you mention Wickerman though because I think I intentionally didn’t record the preshow for fear of being scolded haha

Loved the new perspective of Thorpe Park with you guys! Instant sub! In regards to swarm the cart with the aliens, they are literally the aliens crashing through everything and invading etc. they’re the swarm of flying aliens. If you watch the ride trailer for when it comes out, it makes more sense. And the pro alien signs are like people welcoming the aliens etc
I think Merlin parks are particularly weird about filming rides and pre-shows, so thorpe park, alton towers, and chessington. Other parks around the uk are more chill about it
It felt strange because that is so vastly different from what most parks do. We did also go to Chessington and Alton Towers too on this trip. Crazy that they are all owned by the same company and are so different from each other.

Their park apps, skip the line systems, food offerings, etc., were all very similar. All great parks! Obviously well run! 😊
If you’re not keen on inversions the smiler at Alton towers is one to avoid as it holds the world record of 15in total which would be a shame as everyone should experience it at least once ,,,nemesis is still classed as one of the best coasters in the uk after all these years & is a favourite with many coaster enthusiasts,,,,enjoy 👍🏽
Thrope park and Alton towers where owned by different when they came under the same company they started major investment at thrope park and built colossus then there was a major fire where nemesis inferno now stands. so they had to build some thing very quickly as as the original nemesis was the best rollercoaster they wanted to piggyback off the ride.

The name Nemesis was used because Thorpe is owned by Merlin, the same company that operates Alton Towers. If they named this ride anything else everyone would say it was fantastic but everyone compares it to the much better, original Nemesis. I call this ride Nemesis Inferior.
Haha Nemesis Inferior is great! 😂 We did know it’s also operated by Merlin, which is why we thought they’d try to pick a different name. To differentiate. But either way, both great coasters, just one greater than the other. 😄
The reason it is called Inferno is because the story is that the Nemesis creature tried to escape it's bonds by digging down, this created a fissure underground and caused a volcano in Thorpe.
I think the important thing about the SWARM theming is try not to think about it too much, we’re 🇬🇧 not too good with theming and backstory and stuff, USA has that down to a T, us not so much 😂😂
I didn’t know if you wanted some clarification or not but the train in the swarm is the alien and you went to the church for cover but the swarm attacked the church and abducted you which is the story , I love the swarm but stealth is the best for be , the launch is increadible!! I’ll be at hyperia on the opening day and I’m sure it’ll be my new fav at Thorpe but I don’t know if it’ll beat nemesis reborn 👀

Hello, New sub here, from Ireland. My boyfriend and I also were in Thorpe park a few weeks ago for our first visit. We had similar views as you guys on a lot of the rides. The American theme of the park and the shouty soundtrack is so annoying, I think they could improve on that. The Walking Dead is such a letdown, the front sign is the best part of it, and the coaster is so weak. Come to Ireland 🇮🇪 to visit our Emerald Park, if you haven't been already. 😊
Can't wait for you to go alton towers.... that in my opinion has better rides.... I know hyperia will beat rides at alton towers. But as an overall alton has majority of better rides. Look forward to your opinions there. And make sure your ready for ALOT of walking there 😂 you day thorpe is easy to walk.... yeah wait till you get to alton towers 😂

@RideorDine I think that's the humour of today's world. If aliens actually did invade and they were here to wipe out the human race, you would still get people protesting that their lives matter 🤣. They did it for live actors at alton towers for the nemisis reborn.

😂😂 well..we are 2 people with 2 different opinions, likes, and dislikes. And only 1 of us is unsure about some of the coasters…haha. Also..there’s a lot more to do/fun to be had at theme parks outside of just coasters. Dark ride/drop tower/log flume stan for life!! 💕

On swarm you have to sit right side back row for the most intense experience , with all the different seats it’s night and day difference on swarm
We’ll keep that in mind for next time we go! We wanted to make sure we got on it ASAP and ironically it broke down right after we rode.
