I felt really sorry for him on the last book, he only was trying to save his daughter (Luna was probably the only family he had by the time), for me it's impossible to be mad at him!
I don't think he deserved to be outed. He was acting in fear and desperation to protect Luna. I am not a parent but I am sure that that is what any parent would do to make sure that their child is safe and unharmed.
I love the Lovegoods! Finally there is someone good in my house, I mean what a shame we have got Gilderoy Lockhart and Sybill Trelawney, but NOT Hermione Granger. Why could Flittwick not have been in the Order of the Phoenix? And Albus Dumbledore, Ravenclaw would suit him better.
Love your videos! You should consider documentary film making. You have a talent for bring information to light. Xenophilius did what any parent would do to get their child back.
I think it was very noble of the trio to keep the secret. They knew he was only doing whatever it took to keep Luna safe. I'm sure Luna was grateful for them keeping the secret as well.
Another great video! The best story teller's on RUclips in my opinion. With all that said. Life of Rebastan and Rodolphus LeStrange. Thanks keep up the great work Dean love from the US. 👌
Harry Ron and Hermione would have understood that he did what he did to save his daughter and honestly I would too Xenophilius is a good father or else Luna wouldn't have been the kind hearted person she is an absolute sweet heart I'd say..
Amazing video, Mr. Folklore! I really think Xenophillius shouldn't have been outted after betraying Harry. If I had a child, I would do anything to make sure that they were safe and healthy and protected even if it meant betraying some of my closest friends (though not long after I would feel super bad of course but know that it was necessary to me lol). :)
Luke the 2nd, I disagree. I think that admitting what he did to protect Luna; and that Harry, Hermione and Ron forgave him lets everyone know that we all understand protection and understand his decision. "Hey, we were all in this together. We all did what we thought best at the time. Now lets move on."
@@lukeskywalkerthe2nd773 And I too accept that the Trio did not reveal what happened, very understandable. Neither way is wrong, just different. omg, 2 youtuber comments of guys being agreeable, someone should record this for history. LOL
He only wanted to save his daughter, he was desperate, what parent wouldn’t be ? If our friends of the golden trio could forgive him, that should be the end of it !
Applause 👏👏👏👏👏! I always felt sorry for the situation that Xenophyllious was placed in. A parent should never have to do what was done to him. Thank again.😊
Another amazing video! I love your videos and how informational they are! Also, to answer the question: No, I don't. He had good intentions, and he wanted to save his daughter. I think that he shouldn't have been outed for what he did.
Xenophilia - a condition where the person is found to be attracted to strange things. Hence the name xenophilius fits perfectly to the character, props to jk.
I honestly love xeno! He's such an odd duck but he's just so lovely and a good dad! He did the best he could with his situation and that's what really counts when you're trying to save the center of your world
Anyone in lovegood's shoes would do the same thing! He was desperate, and only trying to get his only child back! I even think he won't be a normal person if he didn't do so!
The fact is, that an awful lot fo wizards were probably put into the same position as Lovegood was, during the Second Wizarding War. Some may have even done worse, with less cause or remorse. This calls into question the purpose of "outing" Lovegood.
Nice video. Xenophilius is an interesting character that should have been introduced earlier, like Luna (who was actually introduced in Order of The Phoenix). I have a What-If concept: What if Harry killed Draco Malfoy in his sixth year?
Xenophilius only did what any parent would do, and I don't believe he would have turned Harry in if Luna hadn't had been captured. Harry would have forgiven him, anyway
Xenophilius was only doing those actions out of a father's love for his daughter. He was put into a very upsetting and torturous situation that was likely not an easy decision to come to. I have always forgiven him, as you could also tell how remorseful he was during that scene.
I don't think that he should have been outted since he did betray Harry in order to get Luna back. Luna was the only family that he had at that time and was reminder of his late wife which would devastate him if Luna was killed or severely injured. His fascination with the Deathly Hallows was probably an interest in being reunited with his dead wife.
I am watching this late but I was a drama practice and I need to pay attention to the play because it’s a very interesting play witch is a mashup between Harry Potter lord of the rings and twilight so it has a lot of details that you need to play attention to
Can you do a video about apparition? I just wonder how it works and how far they can go because if they can go anywhere it shouldn't have cost them a lot of money to go to Sweden.
do we have any idea what it was that Pandora was experimenting on that took her life? As for whether or not Xenophilius should have been held accountable for his betrayal, even if his motivations were selfless, collaborating with an oppressor is still a crime and we ought not edit a historical record simply because the truth is painful and ugly. His betrayal did not lead to Harry's capture but it easily could have, though I feel since he was imprisoned by Voldemort's regime anyway that his betrayal could have been disclosed without requiring further imprisonment (the legal concept of "time served") another excellent piece of content, thank you sir :)

Xenophilius is such an influential character especially to his daughter, Luna
I don't think he deserved to be outed. He was acting in fear and desperation to protect Luna. I am not a parent but I am sure that that is what any parent would do to make sure that their child is safe and unharmed.
I totally agree he was only doing what any other parents would of done

Yay!! Love your vids
I REQUESTED THIS AGESS AGO YESSSSSS
Xenophilius is a great guy and just because he gave over harry to the death eaters he just wanted Luna back the only part of the family he had left.
I say, that it is amazimg, how he just cared for Luna and strait away sent an owl to the ministry of magic, when he saw Harry Potter.
The fact is, that an awful lot fo wizards were probably put into the same position as Lovegood was, during the Second Wizarding War. Some may have even done worse, with less cause or remorse. This calls into question the purpose of "outing" Lovegood.

Beautifully done.
I don't like what he tried to do but I understand he had no choice but to cooperate. Luna is someone anyone would want to protect.
I say no he should not because Luna is his world. A good parent protect and look out for their kids.

I think Xeno Lovegood shouldn't have anything done to him. He was desperate to see Luna again
