No, he didn't forget the words when he stopped. He just let the church members sing that part on their own so he can just bask in that moment for a little bit. Worship is about to pour your whole heart out to God, give him everything you are and show God your love for him. And when you worship God, He speaks to you directly into your heart and soul. And He shows you His love for you. Sometimes people even get healed in their body when they worship God. Worship should be lead by the Holy Spirit, not by the musicians. It's one of the most powerful things on earth - and in heaven. My former pastor was a passionate and spirit filled singer. He was also the leader of our worship band. When he was singing you could feel the Holy Spirit filling the whole room, searching for our hearts to cleanse us from our sins and to heal our hearts. When he was singing He listened to the Holy Spirit to know what he should sing and at what time he should sing a specific song. What I loved most about our worship times was the spontanous prophetic worship. You just listen to God and sing whatever He tells you to sing in the melody He gives to you in that specific moment.
