- In this video we're going to have a closer look at the landing gear of my RC Bleriot XI model.
I ‘m sorry for the misspelling in Mr. David Boddington’s name in the subtitle, early in this video.
Questions and comments are welcomed.
Beautiful engineering, fab to see the detail.
Thanks 🙂
Good job . Amazing 👌👌👌

No,I thank you, gives me sumthin to aspire to ! How do you find that little 30,FS ? One of mine performs well, the other, sadly does not ? Both new ? Well, back then, can't get'em now.
A 'Q',what are you currently building ? As I turn up at the strip with many different models,my pal said ,'Norm, how many kite's do you have ?',I said I really don't know ??? So one day I went from room to room counting them, the answer = 57 ! That's not including the garage or loft ! I may require therapy,I know that, but for now I'm content.Just wish the wind would drop .
Happy Landins Amigo !
The SC30FS got stronger as I ran it in but I haven’t started it for some time now.
Currently I’m not building anything. I have come to the conclusion that my flying skills are lacking a lot behind my building skills so this summer I will try to improve my flying skills.
I have a lot fewer models, but you can see them at my website flugmodel.weebly.com
Some of them have of course passed away :-)

Hi !
Look up Nice flight from the HOEA model flying Club, along with One snowy day,(same place in the snow).Long before drone's were about I took these aerial vids.
The model was just a glider, cost me £5,I cut the front off and fitted an OS 10.it performs well.
I hope you find and enjoy the film's. With your skill your workbench should be in continual use ! Pick a nice Parasol Monoplane next,I always liked that set up.
Happy Landins.
If you please sir, how much forward ballest and engine type and displacement are you currently using?
Thanks for your question.
The model has a SC30FS engine and 425 gr. of lead up front.
The CoG is at 13 cm from the leading edge.
Less ballast and a bigger engine might be an option worth considering. :-)

Wow..cog please?
Hi and thanks for the question.
The CoG is about 14 cm from the LE edge which is about 4.5 cm behind the spot suggested by D. Boddington, the designer. I now have 425 gr. of lead up front.
Even though the CoG seems to be a little aft the strange thing is that the model needs a little up elevator. Remember the split elevator has a large moving area.
Happy flying
