  • you will need:
a rainbow selection of dye, I used Pro Chem Hot Pink, Dharma fluorescent safety orange, fluorescent yellow, spearmint breeze, bright aqua, purple pop.
    citric acid or white vinegar
60 ml luer lock syringe (bought in bulk off amazon)
    jewelers scale

Just found this looking for different yarn dying techniques. This is like the most informative video on this. So thank you very much! Especially for working up all those swatches.

Fabulous video, so informative. (And don't worry about saying ml or cc, they are both one cubic centimetre of liquid and work fine either way--the only difference is that ml is usually used for liquids and cc for solids, but it's not a significant thing!)

great video. I am confused about math. How 2g in 1000ml gives you 2%. I think it's 0.2%. Or have I missed something?

Please use a respirator or at least an N95 mask. Dry / powdered dye is Hell on your lungs. Otherwise, I love your results. ❤
