It's been a while since anything was uploaded, and for that I apologize. However, hopefully it was worth the wait! I've been working on this speedrun for quite a while now, trying to drag it below 33 minutes.. and I succeeded! Just in time for my trip to ESA as well.
This run isn't commentated. The commentated version should be up on the 29th of July, right as I get back from ESA. A link will be provided here at that point!
This is my best speedgame up-to-date. I've put the most amount of time and effort into this one. This is the first run to ever reach 32 minutes of time.
Thank you everybody so much for watching, and I am terribly sorry for the delay. I will try to push up some Resident Evil content on here as well, as I run that franchise too.

I remember playing this game as a kid and it used to take me half an hour just to do the first level. I have never seen anything like this before!! And the way you did the platforming sections... LOVE the music in this game!!
I love watching these. As a kid, I thought my completing the game under two hours was impressive lol. At the time, I actually contemplated doing a lot of the skips done here but I was never able to pull them off. Awesome show of skill!

One of my favorite things about speed runs is how a majority of things like ammo aren't deliberately collected. It feels like the player just picks them up "because they were in the way" and still can make full use out of them by the time the game is over.
this is amazing. I have been in the process of putting my lets play of the game up on my channel but I would love to get to the point of being able to speed run eventually. I think I would have trouble with the catacombs though.

How do you kill triceratops witha a single arrow? o.O anyway such a skillfull run man nice work
Most enemies can be killed with one arrow (Not the tek arrows) when hold the arrow for few seconds (Maybe 3-4 seconds), and then shot. Some say they can see a little sparks from the arrow before the shot. But for me it was very difficult to see, so i practic to hold the arrow for about 3-4 seconds i think.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply.
To kill the jeeps using the knife, you have to be playing on an older version of the game, as this was patched out in the current version on Steam and GOG.

Haha this is amazing for about 20 seconds then you realise it’s not on the n64 and it’s fuuuuull of glitches
The N64 run is a lot more glitchy, believe it or not! If you'd rather want to see that, I'd recommend "ZanderGothSRL", the current world record holder for that. This remaster is played on a different engine and unfortunately does come with some inconsistencies compared to the original. This video shows an older route of the speedrun which isn't as broken as the game is today, though.

This glitch doesn't actually activate both weapons at once, it just allows you to skip the animation of switching between them. To do this, have two guns both with over 10 in their ammo capacity. Then, start with one (let's say grenade launcher) and hold down the fire button and shoot 10 grenades. As soon as you start holding down the fire button, press the hotkey for whatever weapon you're switching to (in this case, the automatic shotgun) and stop shooting once you've shot 10 shots.

oh my goodness that's so awesome you figured that out. also seriously amazing run here, your jumps are incredible lol. Steam just had a sale for Turok and Turok 2 so I grabbed 'em and I'm reliving some memories and learning new things along the way. thanks for your content, cheers!

I walk diagonally (also known as strafing) because it adds to my movement speed. In older games such as this one, the code for movement is a bit janky, but to summarize it - since Turok is being moved in two directions at once, the speed kind of adds up on each other, making me faster.
