@@3yp0n He wasn't oblivious in the slightest. He was a flat out fucking predator. He got her drunk without telling her they were doubles then made several different advances that were clearly shut down. Flat out rapist.
@@3yp0n nah there is no chance that she didnt make it clear she wasnt interested. Dude has probably just pressured other women the same way and it worked before. He sounds like a posterboy for the person who needs to listen to the no means no campaigns.
Yeah I think something really important here is they continually give him the benefit of the doubt of like "How isn't he getting it" when it seems VERY clear to me that regardless of continual refusal to his advances, he's still trying to force it, which is incredibly rapey behavior and not something that should be tolerated at all. As a guy it's a lot easier to say he should of been confronted and outcast from the friends group, it wasn't until Maya mentioned being non-confrontational that I become aware of the danger there that makes directly shutting it down immediately actually dangerous rather than the proper course of action. Fucking horrible that shit like this not only happens, but probably happens alooot and is just sucked up as regular male behavior by so many women. I'm sure too women less confrontational might of just given in, basically raped because what option do they have? Confronting and resisting could end up even more damaging than just having sex, fuckin makes me sick. I'm hopeful as the future generations come along that the sort of transparency of social media will help not only kill this type of behavior, but make more men aware to the reality a lot of women deal with. Many a time I've had to stop a female friend heading out the door basically black out drunk with some random idiot, if more men knew what to look for I think a lot of women would be safer, but maybe I'm just being overly optimistic and everyone's a piece of shit, who knows.
Sh*tcamp this year kinda reminded me of Total Drama Island (in a good way of course). It was a group of people with unique personalities participating in a bunch of outdoor activities with drama, injuries, relationships, and the stakes of a competition. It was a fantastic event and QT, her team, and the campgrounds staff should be so proud for making it happen. I had a blast with last year’s event but this year’s was so much more ambitious and jam-packed. It’s different than any other thing I’ve seen on Twitch. I’m sad that it will likely be scaled-down in the future, but I understand the logistical challenges and having to work with the schedules of other streamers.
Honestly, Maya is right. You don’t need to do something just to try it when you know you won’t like it. If someone enjoys an activity, but wants to share it, they shouldn’t pressure others into it. If it’s normal to like something, it’s as normal to dislike something lol. Also hope Maya’s ribs heal up! Never bruised a rib before, but I have torn an abdominal muscle that inflames and pokes through my ribs. Worst pain ever, so I understand wishing it was broken or something so people are more understanding.
Should, of course, not pressure someone to do something they have a fear of. Could end up causing more anxiety, instead of alleviating it. I think, the "bad take" about it was that she disregarded the implication in her phrasing: that your likes/dislikes become locked in once you reach some magical age. For kids (and a lot of adults) still figuring things out, it's handing them an excuse to never change or try something new - regardless of having tried it before or how long ago. That would be an unfortunate takeaway. Your thoughts and opinions will keep evolving, based on new input, your whole life.
@@izure yes, but that’s up to each individual. There are plenty of things I’ve never liked no matter what age I’ve been. Since there isn’t a magic age, as you said, it’s silly to try and convince people there’s a chance they’ll like it just because they’re older now. Maya’s take was her opinion, and I happen to agree with it. Everyone else can or not, it’s up to them. I don’t believe it was a bad take simply because someone else disagrees with it. Genuinely disliking something and knowing it won’t be enjoyable isn’t an excuse to not do it, it’s a reason. There’s nothing wrong with not trying new things when you know you won’t enjoy it. If you know what you like and dislike, you’re able to make those judgements for yourself. As she stated it’s like an extrovert trying to get an introvert to do extroverted things simply because the extrovert enjoys it. Introverts are often shunned and bullied for not wanting to do extroverted activities, as if it’s the normal way of life and introverts are ill and in need of fixing. Just because you enjoy something doesn’t mean others will, and that’s a-okay.
There's no single universal rule, context is important. Some people need to get out of their comfort zones, and peer pressure is beneficial for them, some people truly don't. Some people don't know what they like until they try it, some do, some convince themselves they won't like something, need space to be able to change their minds, and peer pressure only makes them dig their heels in. All other generalizations are almost always incorrect, except this one.
Holy shit, Maya’s story about the guy just refusing to leave her hotel room is so scary. He definitely “got the hint,” he just wanted you to either be forced to escalate or be so uncomfortable with escalating that you let something happen. Dudes like that use women’s politeness as a weapon.
Maya casually telling the story of an almost sexual assault, these are the stories people need to hear about since some guys just can't take a hint and think your playing hard to get
@@Natty11100 I get what you're saying, its her life but we have to have a common understanding of some concepts and that was clearly sexual assault. That guy wasn't dumb at all, he may have played dumb but he knew exactly what he was doing. Guys like this say "oh I'd never R*pe a woman, but these feminists are out of control, you cant even flirt anymore!" and then they have no problem guilt tripping someone into sex, or essentially drugging someone by lying about the alcohol you're giving them, or think groping someone is just "flirting"
Maybe Maya does not want to characterize it as SA, maybe thinks "he was drunk, was stupid, it was awful but i wont ruin his life over this". But this is objectively SA, if there was a camera recording or some witness or something... he would get charged.
This is only the second episode I watch but damn, the honesty of this duo is impressive. The insight of their stories makes me realize that male privilege IS a thing and honestly, I feel like I gotta keep watching to understand more the female perspective regarding a lot of things most people are not really vocal. Mad respect for QT and Maya for dealing with terrible situations and still being amazing human beings.
👑 I've heard many a man say that women have it easier, "pussy privilege", etc. "Women can just find a guy to sleep with in a second" 1. Attractive women maybe 2. Yes, you could, as a woman, make a tinder or go out and for sure someone will want to fuck you. But what these men forget (as they don't consider the humanity of women) is that what women get out of sex like that isn't the same. Women are waaay weaker and need to consider that they may be in danger. Also, what do they get out of sex with the first man they see when that man can be, if not a direct danger, then the type that just humps you until he cums and byebye. Sounds fun, amirite?
The fact that you ladies have gone through so many horror stories with different creeps it's just awful, not to mention I wouldn't be surprised at all for this to be a regular occurrence for many different people. I really think sharing these kinds of stories bring light and awareness to the kind of predators out there, so you guys rock.

I recently found out about this podcast from after shit camp I loved the stream with rich and CYR so I checked out the other videos and I’m on 7 currently. Can’t wait to catch up and watch weekly
It's funny how Maya made the comment about being an adult and knowing what you dont like - The people who bailed on Shit Camp because of anxiety or whatever reason they had/made up to not go, they should have just said they didn't want to do it rather than waiting until last minute when everything was paid for to not go. It's so unprofessional, which for streamers I know is kinda the norm, but its still their job and they should act like adults.
The conversation about wanting to hangout like in highschool, being introverted but wanting to be extroverted, and having anxiety while everyone feels indestructible is genuinely some of the most relatable shit I've heard!
I think you went so above and beyond with shitcamp there was almost too much content! I think a 1 or 2 day event will be perfect in the future, helps people catch more of the streams and helps the streamers feel less exhausted. Amazing work QT!
YESSSS FINALLY A NEW EP I literally can't get enough of this podcast!! ❤❤❤ I remember watching the first one when it was uploaded to yt and have been hooked since, so happy about this new format and more content!!!
My friend and I are juicier fans and we still watched shitcamp and loved it. The best part of QT content is that its also enjoyable for older viewers like my friend and I (late 20s). Lots of familiar references and not only zoomer stuff😂
There’s a difference between knowing you won’t like something cause you’ve done it vs not trying a new things cause your scared. But things like zip lining and the blob don’t really matter in life, that’s just if you want to beat the fear yourself. More about taking chances on new things in life
I love the new format. Before i used to watch the episode in parts, but now i have something to look forward to every week. Today i saw the tweet that the episode is live and it made my day
I have nothing to say really. I'm just commenting to support this lovely podcast. I really liked this episode, because i always watch this before bed so i can just chill and listen. This truly is my comfort podcast
I have to be honest, I'm holding off on watching this until I've watched the most recent ShitCamp video! Then I'll enjoy this! Again QT props to you for managing to get all of it together! Great work!
This is the one podcast where I am always excited when I see a new episode is live. Shit Camp was fantastic, and I really appreciate hearing the behind the scenes conversations about it. Glad to see the sponsor too! Also the creepy guy stories really made my skin crawl. As a guy, I don't think I can understand how "normal" it is for women to have to deal with awful stuff like that. It's gross that stuff like that is so common. But I'm glad you've shed some light on it, and hopefully it resonates with some viewers that those sorts of things aren't okay
Twitch really should help you with camp. It was such a big event that brought so many people to the platform. I’m sure you did qt but I would really make it a point to make them help you with the money.
It's always nice to hear the behind scenes after and event, this time it seems it took less of a toll on QT so it's even better. Shitcamp was awesome! Love the cozy podcasts :D
Idea: Add a prize that it won at the end of shitcamp so people actually prioritize it properly instead of shoveling it to the side for other things. Make it a shorter, biannual event and split the content and not as large of a commitment for other streamers. Also you get to split the attendees so that all the streamers get a chance to attend with the people they enjoy being around.
They have got to stop leaving the wines in the shed that was literally hot enough to melt plastic lmao Like of course it always tastes fucked, they're basically slow-cooking it in there 😂
Really enjoyed the setting of this episode. Ofc if you feel like dressing up and such do it. But in general i think what makes podcasts so likeable is that they feel real and unceonsored and not scripted. Thats why i loved this cozy atmosphere with both of you in comfy clothes and dimmed light. Should go for the same with your guests. But thats just my take. Nice episode and much love ❤
Good episode. Loved hearing the bts Shit Camp stuff(amazing event). Sad about no more Shit Camp but it makes sense. It's hard to get so many streamers to leave their streams for several days.
Loved Shit Camp so much! Love that everything was at the site, so you didn't ever have to leave. You're troopers for being out in that heat all day. My favorite Twitch event so far.
I am just a random viewer an all, but making a event that happens a whole week into one day might significantly reduce the hype. Maybe consider turning future shit camps to a 2 or, at most 3 day event? Again, just a random viewer, don't know anything and it might not be the best idea. I just really enjoyed looking forward to shit camp multiple days in a row and I am sure others did too, and having it on just one day won't feel the same. If I am still alive, I will still watch it no matter what you decide to do. I love your content and all the events you do QT!
to qt, the beginning of the closing stream was genuinely so funny it was probably the only time you can hear everyone in the room and it made kaceys fake bit ten times funnier i loved it
I think 2 days is perfect for Shit Camp, one day for the prep/picking of teams and screwing around drinking, one day for events and closing ceremonies.
Tip for 2-Factor-Authentication: You can edit trusted phone number under Setting > [Tap on your name] > Password & Security > Trusted Phone Numbers and put in a number of your friend. In "case of emergency" you can let a 2-factor-code be sent there I think
I listened to this on Google podcast but still wanted to comment. It helped me laugh this morning when I was feeling quite anxious. So thanks for that.
Shitcamp was spectacular, I wasn't able to watch much of it live but I've been binging so much of the content! Everyone's dynamics were hilarious and the events that took place were awesome!

My opinion as a 22 y/o man for the Maya story, he 100% knew you were rejecting him and I have no doubt that he was trying to wear you down and make you give in to have sex with him. Bruised Ribs are so brutal. Constant discomfort and you just have to suffer through it. Assuming it was the blob launch that caused it, I'm honestly shocked Maya was still able to be as active/mobile as she was for the remaining days/events. That boat challenge must have been so painful.
If i didnt have anyone to push me to go do stuff i'd probably sit at home all day everyday and miss out on a lot of fun stuff i've done over the years. Totally get both sides, some people really do need that push to help them overcome the anxiety from overthinking, and some people just actually don't enjoy the thing. I think its okay to tell someone why you think they should try something and try to coax them into it, but also don't be aggressive/pushy about it and let it go if they continue to decline

god... listening to maya's story about his "ex-friend" got me so mad, I can't believe there is ppl like him, I mean, I do believe it, but seriously... women have to be so careful when meeting ppl that's insane, hopefully maya was able to stop this guy, otherwise this story would've been a really different one.
I think almost every woman has a story like this, sadly. We all have to deal with guys like this at some point.
samee...it boggled my mind how oblivious (or maybe just very creepily persistent) he was...ffs
Also: petition for the clip of Zoil launching Maya off of the blob to show up on Ridiculousness!
Maya casually telling the story of an almost sexual assault, these are the stories people need to hear about since some guys just can't take a hint and think your playing hard to get
@@monique4733 yeah but it also feels weird to label someone else's experience(maya)
It went from "almost" to "actual" the moment he put his hand under her shirt. That's a crime; he's a criminal.
@@DreamskyDance as somebody who was in a very similar situation. Yeah. I did the same. I didn’t want to accept that I was SA’d.
You dropped this 👑
👑
I've heard many a man say that women have it easier, "pussy privilege", etc. "Women can just find a guy to sleep with in a second"
1. Attractive women maybe
2. Sounds fun, amirite?
good take
W
46 minutes in when QT finally does the Wine Review! It's the most important part of the podcast!
Hell yeah
The fact that you ladies have gone through so many horror stories with different creeps it's just awful, not to mention I wouldn't be surprised at all for this to be a regular occurrence for many different people. I really think sharing these kinds of stories bring light and awareness to the kind of predators out there, so you guys rock.
Dad listener here.
Be nice to yourself, Maya!
I think it was when Rich threw you into the dirt, personally. Lol
QT, you are NOT a sissy! You did the ropes course! That course has taken out all kinds of folks!
she literally said to rich "make me fly". They planned it lol.
Oh I know they planned it. Still, I'm pretty sure that's where the bruised rib came from. Lol
Maya got destroyed for content at shtcamp. Respect
She knows hw to bring the content.
she flew 😂
Let's GOOO THEY ARE GETTING MORE AND MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THE FORMAT!
Maya is 100% right qt
I'm the big event planer in my family and friends so when we do stuff I'm so over stimulated and stressed about making sure everyone else is happy that I can't/ live in the moment.
Only thing I can think about helping this problem is 1. Hire more help and delegate out work.
2. Have someone be the go to "bad" guy/ boss. To run the games and keep people moving along.
You did wonderful tho Qt you where so great and I hope at the least you of louds of pride. Ps wine about is goat
maya sharing the story abt the ex friend made me feel a bit better having experienced smth similar before
Ex boyfriend and ex friend stories are so relatable. I thought I was just a magnet for insane but between my own experiences and experiences of friends you guys help me feel like I'm not so alone. Whether that's a good thing or bad thing.... eh
It's so unprofessional, which for streamers I know is kinda the norm, but its still their job and they should act like adults.
i love hearing you guys complain, genuinely
The conversation about wanting to hangout like in highschool, being introverted but wanting to be extroverted, and having anxiety while everyone feels indestructible is genuinely some of the most relatable shit I've heard!
I think you went so above and beyond with shitcamp there was almost too much content! I think a 1 or 2 day event will be perfect in the future, helps people catch more of the streams and helps the streamers feel less exhausted. Amazing work QT!
yea 2 days max at an actual camp in the desert 😂 4 days it would have to be in a super cool or exotic location lol
XQCL
Late 20s Juicers huh ... Susge
Today i saw the tweet that the episode is live and it made my day
I'm really enjoying the weekly format. Love how real your convos are regardless of content.
Re Maya's ex friend - that guy knew exactly what he was doing. He knew. He was trying to wear her out.
Idea:
Add a prize that it won at the end of shitcamp so people actually prioritize it properly instead of shoveling it to the side for other things.
Make it a shorter, biannual event and split the content and not as large of a commitment for other streamers. Also you get to split the attendees so that all the streamers get a chance to attend with the people they enjoy being around.
I am new to the podcast and I am having blast!! I have been Bing watching the episodes!!! And I am loving it!! Keep up the good work!!!
They have got to stop leaving the wines in the shed that was literally hot enough to melt plastic lmao
Like of course it always tastes fucked, they're basically slow-cooking it in there 😂
A sponsor should send them a wine fridge for exactly this reason ❤ they deserve it and the wines taste will 📈
Really wish the podcast comes back, genuinely the most chill podcast to listen to
That ex friend story is so messed up. So many people would of just froze in that situation and it could of been a much different story.
Their stories were both crazy, it's so sad they had to go through this
Good episode. Loved hearing the bts Shit Camp stuff(amazing event). Sad about no more Shit Camp but it makes sense. It's hard to get so many streamers to leave their streams for several days.
omg I almost died seeing all the melted candles everywhere that's so scuffed, but kind of on brand tbh, love it
Great ep guys you’re killing it with the offline content even without chat. Keep doing what you’re doing!!!
Loved Shit Camp so much! Love that everything was at the site, so you didn't ever have to leave. You're troopers for being out in that heat all day. My favorite Twitch event so far.
love the effort QT puts into her events, always comes up with a new creative ways to bring streamers together!
Manscaped got quality content here, like so much more than they thought haha. Loved the podcast!
That ad read for manscape actually made me sign up
So unbelievable hyped you don't even know, this podcast isn't just a podcast it is so much more than that
The artwork with the shattered wine glass is really nice.
I love your content and all the events you do QT!
to qt, the beginning of the closing stream was genuinely so funny it was probably the only time you can hear everyone in the room and it made kaceys fake bit ten times funnier i loved it
Yay wine about it. I loved the safari stream Maya. You did such a great job at shitcamp qt I can’t wait for future events
I really can’t wait to see merch for this podcast!
Wouldn't be Wine About It without a major technical issue
We can all wine about it in the comments till its fixed ahha
qt's mic fixes after about 10 min.
Honestly one of my favorite podcasts. As a guy its really interesting to hear a females point of view and both of you have very good chemistry on podcast I can definitely see this podcast growing to be a lot bigger than it already is. Also just wanted to say that "ShitCamp" was great as well as I hope to catch more cooking and Alveus streams
My opinion as a 22 y/o man for the Maya story, he 100% knew you were rejecting him and I have no doubt that he was trying to wear you down and make you give in to have sex with him. Guys can be stupid and miss hints, good or bad ones, but thats blatant and I genuinely believe he has done this to other girls and will continue to do this to more girls in the future.
Ok, I was listening to this podcast late at night and now I'm mad about the two jerk stories at the end. I'm going to sleep mad now. Thank you QT and Maya 😤
I hope yall reach 100 thousand soon!! Yall are doing so good and i really love these pods. Cant wait for a patreon when ever it comes 👀👀
Bruised bones are many many micro-fractures and take forever to heal, feel better soon maya
When QT said "I'm Pregnant." I audibly gasped, this show has me way too invested, smh.
Oof sorry buddy
liked how chill it was. also manscaped gotta pay extra for that ad because they definitely made it better
Maya Beer Review:)
you two are so chill and calming i watch this podcast as self care stg
Wine About It is literally the best part of my week
Qt thank you so much for shitcamp and all these events you do.
I cant see well or be in sunlight for long, and living out in the country ive let that isolate me since highschool. So irl streams are a real treat for me. Not in a parasocial way exactly, i dont get lonely. But its nice seeing people outside having... Uhh, still a more normal life than me lol.
I thibk youre such a good force on twitch. For now streamers still have a unique feeling of community between each other, and people like you bring that to life. HasL
Came here from Mayas new Alveus Tour video, to her now talking about her wiki feet page lol
Shitcamp was amazing. I'm glad you guys had a lot of fun with it. Excited to see everything else you guys do.
The podcast has become a delight for me each episode. 😀
That was a GREAT Episode! Loved the recap of ShitCamp and my fav is always the crazy stories lol Thank you for continuing the podcast and working so hard to push these out!
Bruised Ribs are so brutal. Constant discomfort and you just have to suffer through it.
Assuming it was the blob launch that caused it, I'm honestly shocked Maya was still able to be as active/mobile as she was for the remaining days/events.
That boat challenge must have been so painful.
Maya was a soldier for her team for real
If i didnt have anyone to push me to go do stuff i'd probably sit at home all day everyday and miss out on a lot of fun stuff i've done over the years. Totally get both sides, some people really do need that push to help them overcome the anxiety from overthinking, and some people just actually don't enjoy the thing. I think its okay to tell someone why you think they should try something and try to coax them into it, but also don't be aggressive/pushy about it and let it go if they continue to decline
19:00 as someone with a height phobia, 100%. I absolutely hate rollercoasters, have never thought they were fun. I haven't been on one in 8 years (since I was 16). Am relieved when I have a partner that doesn't like them either - because if they do I know they're gonna try to force me on one at some point
Maya’s friend story made me so uncomfortable, he needs to be taught a lesson before he does it to someone else.
@@erik7396 i dont want to spread wild theories but my first though was slick. You know how they stopped streaming together abruptly and they collaborated a lot up until sometimes around the time Maya did that traveling thing where he was her cameraman. And he had a bit of history of shady behavior like that.
I mean, i hope i am wrong because i like slick.... maybe it is mitch jones... or maybe somebody who is not a streamer at all.
@@DreamskyDance its most likely not a streamer or someone not in the community, and even though there’s a chance- we as fans shouldn’t be speculating
@@sauce5281 lol bro she shared it to the world were allowed to speculate...
@@DreamskyDance wait and he just got kicked out of the otk house :o
@@erik7396 Now.. i am even more convinced that it was Slick, she probably just brushed it off and ended friendship with him instead of going public.
P.S: i meant exactly what is now very public with "shady behavior" i mentioned in my previous comment...
I love these podcast eps because its just 2 people chilling and it makes me wanna do this with my friends
Shit Camp was a great event and it's a testament to QT's organizational abilities, and how much the people that did show up truly cared about it being a success. It's unfortunate to hear there will not be another extended event like this again, but given QT's drive and creativity, i'm excited to see whatever events she comes up with next. hasL
Thanks for another great episode, ladies! Always love every episode. Mya, I also love sourdough!
🎶 wine about it 🎶 thanks for the content, you guys are awesome🍷
Miss you both!!! Come back 😢
I would just like to say that wine about it is a dope podcast and this format is a hell of a lot more digestible than the 4.5hr streams you guys were doing
we wont complan that the episode is shorter, but we will wine about it
Favorite podcast hands down
I know it's a weird suggestion but I recently took a mental health first aid course and it has changed my entire approach to humans. Ive been in a similar situation as Qts and it saved my life.
57:00 have been rejected for a kiss after reading the moment wrong (no drinks involved, altho I wish I had been drunk), and uh, yeah I didn't even want to be alive or ever see that person again lol to go for it twice is wild
Amazing ep. I feel like you guys are starting to get it. Great length. Good topics. And number 1 better audio
I literally listen to this at work and I honestly don't know why I'm addicted to this podcast but damn is it entertaining.
What do you do for work that lets you listen to a podcast and how do i get in on that?
i scrolled through qt and maya's wikifeet comments during that section and it literally feels like an alternate universe i don't understand it at all
I’ve broken bones, torn muscles and ligaments, but bruised ribs are some of the most painful injuries I’ve had so I truly feel for Maya on that one. Having it hurt to breath is just the worst. Bruising my sternum was equally bad.
I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS WINE ABOUT IT BACK BABY
WOOOOOO literally just switched from watching your sh!tcamp vids on RUclips to watch this asap lol GG!
honestly i hate complaining, like, i can't do it, i can't be bothered unless something REALLY hits me, but i'm a fan of the podcast cause you make it fun to listen to, more than just listen to a relative having a tantrum. also cause i hate sharing not only complaining i'm alone in live lol so at least this remembers me what's to hear someone care about something i guess (?
I truly think a cracked and bruised rib feels the same just about. It's just how long the pain lasts. But either way that shit really hurts.
