Estime was an excellent running back, but he was hardly a "home run hitter" type of back. Yes, he had a long run against NC State, and a couple of intermediate runs in addition. But he wasn't a Josh Adams or Dexter Williams or CJ Prosise ... or even Kyren Williams (a guy with playmaking ability but not great top-end speed) type of back. Loved Estime, and would love him on my team, but the point is well taken ... Love and Price are bigger "big run" threats. They just are.
Nobody in this conversation knows anything about notre dame. Estime was actually one of our best RB homerun hitters in years, statistically.... factually.

Had no business losing to Louisville? If my memory serves me right, Louisville was undefeated or 1 loss in prime time at home after notre dame had playd back yo back college gameday ranked games vs osu and duke
If my memory serves me right we were favored, we were the better team. If you go back and watch that game from start to finish Mike is right Notre dame looked flat. The defense was the only thing that held the game a little together until the offense eventually sold them out and stopped moving the ball
Louisville looked terrible the week before against a very bad NC state. Went on to lose to atrocious Pitt. Literally ND should not have lost that game.
@@tomas746 I’m a firm believer in that something had to of happened in the locker room😭 Parker had to call Hartman like a pussy or something and made him hate him cause that performance was beyond me unbelievable😭 that was a defense we should’ve MESSED UP😭
Knowing ND, it either won’t matter because they’ll be unable to move the ball or the defense just sucks when playing good teams. Might even be a combination of both, who knows.

That said, it is laughable that you point to ND's performance in big games and then project a BLOWOUT by A&M -- a team with a losing record in the past two seasons and a team that LOST to Appalachian State at home in '22.
