No wonders why this is the best selling Gran turismo & overall racing video game in history with graphics & sound years ahead of it's time no online needs shits whatsoever just clean racing throttle to the bottom ;)
Perfect car for endurance races!
You know it's reliable when, after inspection, the engine is still good enough to successfully do another 24 hours of racing.
yeah. Not as powerful as for example R92CP or Sauber Mercedes, but you can cover longer distance on one tires.

I use emulators to play GT 2 but like I said the license cheat doesn't work.
Game from 16 years ago, still looks pretty good today!!! imagine you are playing it in that period of time it's gonna be one of the most realistic game in your collection
That 4-rotor scream from the Mazda 787B makes it impossible for me to watch this video without a great deal of an adrenaline rush through my blood!! What's more exciting is that the real-life car actually DOES sound like this in real life! Even the idle sound is accurate!!
Dude the fuckin memories... The graphics looked so real to me, now after playing a fuck ton of Forza i just now realized how to graphics realy were...

Seeing this running in 2001 was a trip into the future. Nothing, but nothing even came close to Gran Turismo 3 at the time, even PC games.
i still play this game to this day! it was really the only game i ever played.
The replay's shaking camera views are better than any Gran Turismo game ever! 0_0
i really miss this Rome. i skipped gt4 and when i got to gt5 and saw Rome, i was disappointed, and a bit confused. i like this course layout much more. my favorite part was running over cones along the pit in/out and trying not to wipe out in the process. not at these speeds, but still... ah memories. i was just playing rome on gt6 and thought to look it up. glad i did.
Its a shame gt4 didnt have all the gt3 tracks, who knows how the development went down. They remade some tracks from 3 such as midfield raceway and apricot hill, but then other tracks like trial mountain and swiss alps seem to be imported directly from gt3. I wish they just imported all the gt3 tracks. Seems like a lot to ask for, but its annoying to go from gt3 to 4 with all these extra tracks, only to just not have Special Stage Route 11, or Rome, or their reverse tracks.

And still better than most recent up to date racing games, the playability & control is still top notch in this game among all new games.
Though the cars handle like their tires are covered in butter

I STILL have my copy that I had gotten for Christmas in December 2003, and I STILL use the same old blue 8MB memory card that I had gotten along with the PS2 back then! I was in 7th Grade at the time.

I hate the Rome Circuit, how he’s actually driving that fast surprises me, I had to complete this track’s normal with a slower B class car

Lol, I have discs from 2006 that work perfectly. Keep the disc in its original case and you'll never have any problems.

Honestly, I think the sound of the 787b is more realistic in GT3 than in GT Sport, I hope in GT7 it will be better.

Sean The Don it’s worth it. I was playing Forza horizon 4 dlc, then the servers stopped working, so I decided to try GT3 for a bit. I haven’t stopped playing in two days, and I’m 8 races away from the Toyota GT-One. Before then, I never really got into GT3 cause I liked the physics of FM1 better. Once you get used to it, it’s so fun.

If you listen carefully, you can hear the RX-7 engine a little in the 787B. Makes sense since they are the same manufacturer. Like a similar sound underneath the high pitched LMP noise. It's there.
Except it's 4 Rotors not 3 like the RX7

I forgot the name of all the cars but when he selects the 787b if you look at the other 2 cars on the left beside it, those were probably my 3 favourite cars in gt3 and to this day I still like them, especially the sounds

GT3 is the perfect balance between sim and arcade, I really wish we get an open-world racer with GT3 driving physics copied and pasted into it

For those who want to unlock this car, you must complete the Like The Wind race in the professional races section, best way to do it if you are cheap is just to fully tune a Dodge Viper and set the gear ratio real high, the race is 15 laps.

Played the whole game on stickshift, and dropped the X and Square bullshit for the right thumbstick for better control for throttle/brake.

In GT4 You can also get the same color coordinations in the Mazda RX8 LM Race Car. Still not as fast as that thing!
