    If you’re gonna compare last season’s healthy roster with our roster goin into this season, you have to view Vince, GG, and Scottie as new additions because they weren’t part of the team’s plans but now they are. Plus they had a better chance to develop their game and confidence. It seems like we did nothing in the off-season because last season was basically an extension of this offseason.

      i somewhat agree if you compare last offseason's view to this offseason's view, you could think of Vince and GG as additions. But when you are assessing just this single offseason, i don't know why you would count them, since by the trade deadline last year it was apparent they were important figures going forward

    Ngl this season for me is the most anticipated season. I haven't looked forward to a season like this in a while. With a healthy squad, the addition of Edey, Clarke back GG an Vince having more experience with a healthy group backing the big 3 it's going to be an exciting season. Let's go Grizz Nation!

    I agree that this off season wasn't good in terms of moves made. I'm high on the Grizzlies because I believe in the pieces around the core more than the one before. For now, they inspire confidence in me more than the others. Smart more than Dillon, Edey more than Adams. Vince more than Anderson. Kennard. GG and the rockies' potential looks great

      that's close to where i am. I'm high on the grizzlies cause the pieces around the core are exciting. i'm just greedy, i wanted more from the offseason

      I think the dream outcome for Memphis is to land Airious Bailey of the 2025 NBA Draft, but it will not occur most likely because I do not see Memphis having a high enough pick to draft Airious Bailey next year.

    The lack of using TPE's make this a bad offseason for Memphis.

    14:00 I wonder if Orlando trades for Dennis, plays Zlaire Williams at point, and then Zlaire plays his ass off and everyone yells at us for giving him up.

      @CovertGhoul I think we gave up on Z too early, but I'm ok with giving him the opportunity in a new place if staying out the luxury tax was the goal.

    I am no expert about these things at all, but when I consider just how small of market we are, l never expect us to make a big splash in free agency. So I would give the Grizzlies off season a B-. Although we might take a hit with experience and on defense.. offensively we are more talented now. Adams, Melton, Tillman, Tyus, Zaire and Brooks were mostly defenders and mostly brick shooters from behind the arc. That's was just not going to be enough to win a chip.

    • @vishnujayakumar1846
      @vishnujayakumar1846 18 дней назад

      A B- is too high. This is not that good of an offseason for Memphis. Nothing was truly accomplished. I do not know how a TPE being wasted necessitates a B-.

    The reality of the new salary cap rules is that most teams paying 2 or more max contracts will struggle to maintain a decent roster around those guys. I suspect more & more you'll see top players do what Brunson did & take $100 m less than he could have so they could pay the other guys some & keep the team together.

    • @grizzliespod

      it will be very interesting to see anyone else does what Brunson did (although brunson set himself up to make back his money later if he stays healthy

    Man you are preaching! Zach kleiman and Robert para feeding us a bunch of word salad. They talk about wanting to win a championship but haven’t done what it take to in my opinion. This bs quadrupling down on youth and dodging the tax is just nonsense. I haven’t liked kleiman since he traded melton and like Kyle walk instead of improving around the team he set the team back a couple years. I struggle to believe he is the guy for the job

    • @vishnujayakumar1846
      @vishnujayakumar1846 18 дней назад

      Exactly, everything done in Memphis was emblematic of an incoherent word salad where the team did not truly get much better.
      Keith Parish is correct in the sense that this is a "D" offseason. This was a one step up from doomsday and a slight step up from utter failure. Personally, I think the best case scenario for Memphis would be to land a local Tennessee product named Airious Bailey in the 2025 NBA Draft, but I do not see Memphis tanking next year and getting a high enough pick to draft Airious Bailey in the 2025 NBA Draft.
      In short, this was not a good offseason at all.

    Why on earth would grizzlies use assets to move up in the draft? For Shepherd? For another center who was OWNED by our 9th pick when they played head to head? Not a fan of giving up everything to get some "star" that another team is trying to dump. I can't wait to see the team if we stay healthy, and if that happens, many people, including apparently you, I think are going to be changing your tune. Let's play the games, go grizzlies.

      @@gregmitchell4475 I agree 100 percent! It's so easy to sit on the couch and tell billionares how to spend their money! This team will be fine as long as our big 3 are healthy and available!

      The dream for Memphis is to land Airious Bailey in the 2025 NBA Draft, but I do not see Memphis getting him because they will be too good to land a top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Moreover, Airious Bailey is a local Tennessee product, and nothing was truly done that great this offseason by Memphis. It was barely escaping failure.

      @grizzliespod I tend to go against the grain, lol. I think mid-season all of you will come around. As you know, moves could be made at the deadline, but I don't think they'll need to. But, this off-season has given them that flexibility, so I think it has been a great one despite not spending all the owners' money right now 🤣

      @garrettashe8610 you should become a billionaire and change the narrative then sir! He owns a small market team and nobody wants to lose money whether you're a billionaire or not. What moves would moves would you have made big spender? It takes two teams to make trades and Memphis, unfortunately, isn't a dream free agent destination. They have done a great job with the resources at their disposal! Let this team ad currently constructed cook! Try to make a deal at the deadline if you feel the need but that's certainly not a guarantee!
