    When to use two-sample t-test assuming equal variances? unequal variances? what is the difference between the two options? Thank you in advance. Your video helped me a lot. and your response will be highly appreciated.

      arnel hernandez: The “assuming equal variances” version of the t-test assumes that the variances of the two groups are equal. It’s usually not a particularly tenable assumption, so it’s usually better to assume the variances are unequal, even though there are ways to test the assumption empirically. The “variance” is a measure of how much the scores in a distribution vary from the distribution’s average.
