- I have really enjoyed nomad recently, and THIS GAME IS INSANE! Nomad can often get messy and promotes unorthodox styles of play... which is what I've really desired lately! I decided to stream this one so people could see it as soon as possible, but obviously it needed to hit the RUclips as well! Enjoy!

Hey, T90, I was walking along the roads of northern Montana and saw a wanted poster on the window of a building. When I looked at it I saw it was my twin brother who was in Australia. A police cruiser rounded the corner and when he saw me he mistook me for my twin and started blaring his siren. I, not wanting to be wrongly accused, hightailed it out of there as fast as I could. More cruisers joined the pursuit and were swiftly catching up. As a last resort, I ran to the border of Canada and dove over into a ravine. The police pursued on foot with some dogs. I ran into a forest and climbed a tree to hid. However, a bear was in the tree and startled me so bad I fell out onto the back of a passing moose! I broke my leg and just lay there in agony waiting to be caught. I was quickly found and hauled to court. I tried to plead my innocent, but the 'it is my twin not me' story didn't seem to go over well with the judge and I was thrown in jail. After a few days, I noticed a strange pattern on the ceiling of my cell. I discovered a previous inmate had dug a crawlspace in the ceiling and stored some stuff in there. After searching around, I found a phone I presume was stolen off an officer. It didn't have a lock and when I turned it on it was opened up to your stream. I quickly fell in love with your content. Thank you for providing me with entertainment during these long days and please don't ever stop as I am going to be here for a long time. Kappa. T90love

Yeah, vietnamese civ in AOE2 is suck, it totally doesnt fit the Vietnamese nations in the history. I mean we beat chinese, mongol and khmer multiple times. But AOE vietnamese civ mechanics here doesnt show any characteristics of out nation at all
anh dung Pham I don’t mean to be rude, but the only reason why your ancestors beat great empires was the dense jungles and a lack of investment on their part, and that’s about it in my opinion
@@anhdunghisinh I love Vietnamese as AoE2 civ. Nobody expects my next-gen strats.
Step 1: Full wall and open with scouts like a pleb and get +1 armor for them before you reach your enemy (Why the f*ck would anyone do it ? Ah, knights or elephants... well, nope.). Note: You might find a tower or two really good for defense.
Step 2: Go to Castle Age as fast as possible and build a castle so your enemy does not see it. Make a couple Rattan Archers and a few Spears/Pikes.
Step 3: Steamroll your completely surprised enemy.
Works way more often then I'd like to admit.
The players from China and Vietnam tried very hard to make the civ work in KotD and failed miserably.
@@danielnovotny9094 Viet is an aoe2 civ that is cool in theory but suffers in practice... pre-castle age is pretty much hell for Vietnamese, and if they somehow managed to go past that point, they'll have to answer to the onager-knight combo which will wreck their rattan deathball very hard... Vietnamese having little to no economy bonus makes it even harder to make a comeback in case that happens...
Still, it's pretty fun to use Vietnamese in lower ratings or in Arena, where you can at least be not as vulnerable and FC to Imp is kinda viable.
Hey T90, I was scuba diving in Hawaii and I saw a huge shark family. I got scared but my guide told me don't worry, they are friendly. I went near them and the sharks started singing Baby Shark. as a nomad player i can tell you this game was very fun, nomad is such a nice and creative map idk why people is barely playing it.
At 8:27 if BacT just went in and walled that TC . I think it would be game over at that moment :))

Orange completely out thought blue tactically, you can see that oranges experience of playing the game really was the difference, seemed as though blue chucked the kitchen sink at it way too early on!

"Best Nomad Ever!?"...more like the most infuriating. Some of the stuff that was done annoyed me to no end. I wouldn't have done any better but I felt like that guy watching a horror movie saying, "Don't go in there!"

23:51 You manage to down his TC while your opponent is in Feudal Age and while having Rams & Knights at your disposal? Normaly... you have already done the job -> Send to the oblivion his attempt to advance through his Age!! Force him to strike your plates with sticks and stones eternally!!
Priority #1: Never let him build his TC again and advance. It's just one unique TC, can't have multiple!
Priority #2: Stone Wall your villagers!
Mangonels really? Abandoned production of Rams & Knights really? And who cares about the Fishing Ships!

I do believe blue made a few weird decisions and he lacked scouting, though as you said, it's easy to judge from the spectators spot.
Holy shiit this is art. Can you even criticize them for what they did in this game. Like it was a match made in heaven..
Blues play in this made me want to scream. Felt cathartic when he lost lol. Like just plop down a tc and a few walls good lord. And then he would kill a TC and have knights standing right there but just let the villagers run away it was bizarre. And THEN his entire focus was on killing buildings when he had the camel archers standing right next to farmers he could've massacred.

I haven't played AoE (only a bit of AoM), and it always cracks me up when T90 announces "whoah, %playername% lost a vil here!" when each player has like fifty of those.
I've been watching tons of nomad lately, it's great!
Scout play is so effective on nomad honestly they might be my favorite unit on any map except BF. They easily are the best raiders because they can box villagers in and pathfinding just can’t handle 5-6 scouts in a group of vils.
Bact and blue both could have made fishing ships. Camel archers were largely a waste.

Why didn't blue wall the south and east to prevent map control and raiding from red. What a fool. Simple walls would have gone a long way.
Yeah, that made me really angry. He could have also walled his villagers in at many ocasions. For example at that gold.
Look at blue eco! less villager, the decision he has to make during this gameplay, the raiding was frequent and he was spread out.
Did you notice Blue had wood problems ever since the start? He can't even make mining camps for a few times in the game. By the time he's pushing back, he's putting all those wood for farms, camelarcher and mangonels. That's also why blue didnt make as much spears as he's supposed to

Blue was raided by scouts several times. He had plenty of time and stone to wall up. IMO if he had walled, he would have won. That and he should of tried to harass reds fishing.
Blue should have walled south map where he was mining gold and farming, why did he wait to put palisade until the end of the game?
Watching these games all I can think about is the new AoE in development. I hope they really look at this game and understand why people play this and not the 3rd. Keep this idea, flesh out the civs to be more unique in look and feel, but keep the grid based and no half arsed 3D shit just because they can. Make it more competitive, so sheep don't randomly spawn and boars that just say fuck it and run back. Make spawns more reliable so you don't get horrible resources. Improve the pathfinding etc. Everything else is just perfection and what we want. I'm so excited yet so afraid they'll fuck it up by doing another AoE3.

Is there a mod for trees here? It doesn’t look like my AOE2 HD gameplay. In my games it’s harder to see where trees block movement like they are thicker and taller

I hate tower rush. It’s without taking care of composition of a nice looking town. It’s a salty way of playing. I mean the creators took so much time to design beautiful buildings and landscape, just for you to place buildings randomly🥱
T90 i need your help, do the gold collected statistics in the end also count gold earned by selling stuff in the market? Or is it only the collected gold from goldpiles?

Why didn't BacT make skirmishers to counter those camel archers? Certainly it would have been better than scouts and spearmen which camel archers both have an attack bonus against?
BacT won through costantly raiding blue's eco and killing dozens of vills with his scouts, never lettimg him get the resources to fully leverage his 20 mins long tech advantage. He probably couldn't have accomplished that much damage with skirms.
Not to mention, without waves of scouts he'd have crumbled completely to the siege from blue.
he's in feudal age. His enemy is in castle age and is making knight and mangonels. He gotta keep the pressure on to leverage himself from falling behind. He got to kill the mangonels whenever they popped up. Bact made a good decision to make scouts instead of skirms.

Get other people in the community to play the game to improve the chance that _the mods_ will play the game.
If _the mods_ enjoy the game they will tell T90 about it (Like how this video was suggested by a moderator).
Being the host T90 gets lots and lots of requests, so he needs a way to maintain quality control.

Posting the map seems like a good start.
Playing with some people, and then discussing the map with those people who played it would also help.
Recording and posting the video of the game. If it is a quality game then maybe it will make its way onto T90's channel. But even if not, it will gain further attention for the map.
Rather than just saying "I have a map" go the extra mile and explain the map in detail.

Its a big change on the formula inspired by my time with making games in warcraft 3.
The goal is to destroy the enemy team's wonder. Economy is separated completely from military in which military units are automatically produced in a middle lane based on which buildings and techs you have. The units attack move to an opposing wonder. The economy area known as the "Wild" has mini objectives to gain advantages such as killing a wolf den or defeating a barbarian using exploring troops. Players do not control the troops going down the center lane, as they are of an ai team that is collectively owned by all players on the same team.
Theres a whole lot of stuff that i have a rules doc for. All of the stats and costs and build times are altered to accommodate the different gamestyle.

I have never uploaded a "best nomad" anything video before. This is just the best nomad i've ever witnessed in a 1v1. That said as I said in the beginning it's always possible there have been crazier ones, and I for one would LOVE to find more :D
