I’m nowhere near as smart as the Imagineers, but what would be really neat is if they could somehow have a voice changer so there would be much more spontaneous conversations. But hey, this is already a big step!
miker6570 Scourge BLOODCLAN Leader There's a second offstage cast member, behind a two way mirror that controls the facial motions. They have a bank of pre-recorded phrases in a computer. The phrases are logically sequenced, so that whatever line of conversation they start it will flow to a conclusion without awkward gaps. Note how with these interactions it's always Mickey leading the conversation with the guests answering him. The body performer just silently works the body, as with every other mute character. The other cast member controls the mouth. The audio plays from two speakers concealed within the inner of Mickey's ears.
A news report suggested a two-way mirror where an operator can see what's going on. There are sensitive microphones so that the operator can hear what the guests are saying. He then selects from a bank of pre-recorded voice lines, these phrases also trigger synchronised mouth animations that have been pre-programmed to follow the voice lines, he has speakers hidden in his ears so that it sounds like the voice is coming from him.
I just saw him yesterday with Misty and Billy for the first time and I got to tell him about my new house in Palm Beach Gardens for the first time and Mickey was happy to hear.
Instead of scrapping this why don’t they just do a similar thing but instead of his operating pressing soundboard buttons get someone who can impersonate a Micky mouse voice
They really should broaden what he can say because right now it's a lot of "pal"s and other very repetitive things, I know it's limited but they can definitely fix that
Nathan Fournier Brett Iwan himself isn't physically permanently posed at WDW to vocalise Mickey. He recorded a bank of words names and common phrases that a tech puppeteer off stage controls along with the face motions. A body performance puppeteer then operates Mickey and coordinates his body movements with the audio.
There is technology that has been developed to where if you record a voice, let say you say around 1000 sentences or more in different expressions. The computer can take an analysis it and recreate your voice to where it is like life. They are already doing this with google assistant and I can imagine it will hit entertainment parks eventually where you can unique convos with mickey mouse.
I don't get what the new look is. I've been doing this meet and greet for 3 years now, and it looks exactly the same... Am I missing something? And yes he's talked just like that all 3 years....
Salvador Lamas Both Mickey and Minnie have had completely new head and face sculpts. This new version was debuted at Shanghai Disneyland, followed by DCL, then DL, then DLP and HKDL. WDW is phasing them in and TDL is still using the old heads. Their faces are completely different, their body shapes are slimmer and the three stripes on their gloves are now tapered.
the reason why they removed this is because of maitmence and if you were to take your 5 year old to these talking characters, then the next day, go to other characters with just static heads, it’s a bit sad.

Do they really need to have a million books signed? Such a waste of everybody’s time. Anyway love this mickey and can’t wait to see him in a few months :)

it would still sound off
And it could malfunction
It would just be easier to get Bret Iwan.
When it's used today, the man who does Mickey's voice is behind a curtain with a live tv feed. He really is taking to the people.
I love this talking Mickey! Its amazing!
*OMG He's Real!!!*

I still would like to know what tech they are using to make this work.
miker6570 they use a two way mirror so that a voice actor can improvise and talk to the guests

Nowadays, it's only used on special occasions and the voice actor is there to make it more authentic.
yea
Mickey's current costume look is really cool!

Mickey mouse is so cute I wanna hug him
The Fazbear Master you should! Especially since he’s definitely likely the only Disney character for everyone since he’s the main character
He is one of my favorite disney characters dah
@@FazfuntimePlaytime I don’t want to meet Mickey Mouse. Because I think he would hate me.
@@FazfuntimePlaytime I bet if he met me. He’d tell me that I’m as ugly and messed up as Chucky the doll is.

Is Mickey Mouse voiced by Wayne Allwine or Bret Iwen
It's Bret iwan Wayne allwine passed away during this time
Let me guess the next thing he will say is “I was hoping you would stop by”

So cute
My friends are coming this summer for the sleepover and today the day that my family has a barbecue
How does the person playing as Mickey do the lines? Do they say it or what?
