I have been watching you and I have enjoyed your teachings so much. I am 75 years old and I have been trying to learn the violin for a few months. My dad grew up and play fiddle with Bob Wells. To learn to play would mean so much to me. My husband has stage four lung cancer so when I practice it gives me away to relax. Thank you for helping us adult students. I like your way of teaching Eugenia Miller.
Hi Eugenia. I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I know it can't be easy. But, I am happy you found the violin as a way to relax. I am happy you found my site. I wish you the best of luck on your violin journey. 🥰
Thank you Julia. Your tutoriels are great, dynamic and very helpful. At 54 years old, it's more important and motivating to be able to go at my own pace . Regards from Canada
I have never learned a musical instrument in my 24 years, and I completely came to this video by mistake and was about to click out, until I heard your great info on this instrument, I bought my first violin about a month ago. It is amazing what random inspiration can spark. I have learned to play 3 full songs with success, and it is because of you. Madame you are a wonderful person and I wish you nothing but the best. Thank you so much :)
Just saw this was posted 8 years ago, and I just bought a violin today and am so excited to start playing. Thank you for putting time into making this - so so helpful.
Started playing last September at 58. I love it and practice everyday, but it doesn't feel like practice. Love fellow Canadian Leonard Cohen Hallelujah, but trying to follow the sheet music without a tutorial was brutal - thank you for the easy-to-follow tips and instructions ... looking forward to watching all your videos :)
Thank you for letting me be a part of your violin journey Maureen! And happy to hear you are consistent in your practice sessions. ❤️ I have a new addition to my violin blog, I made it so you can better experience learning through my violin videos, here it is: violinspiration.com/free-violin-lessons-beginners-intermediates-online/
Just learning this beautiful song from you excellent songbook and video. I've been teaching myself violin, I'm too old to have lessons so not aspiring to reach a high level but your videos have helped me to really enjoy this lovely instrument. I still hit the wrong string and sound scratchy but less and less these days. I love to practice and learn to work out new tunes by ear and with your help I am not doing too badly. Thank you!
Thank you there is so much of clarity and sincerity in your lessons you are surely a great teacher . I am one of your many students. Thank you for helping us all with your hard work and sincerity and knowledge in violin
Your videos are areal inspiration for us begginers on violin.i am from Norway but haven't found any violinists from Norway posting violin lessons with Norwegian folk music to learn
Hi Bernt! 😊 Happy to hear my violin videos have been helpful to you. 🤔 Is there any particular Norwegian folk song you think would be nice to play-along with? I am always open to song suggestions. 🎻✨
You are so good! You've helped me the most with holding the bow properly. I've tried other suggested methods, but your method got me there! I've just gotten my violin two weeks ago and now I'm excited about learning to play Hallelujah as soon as I learn my basic scales! Thank you so much, Julia. (I'm still struggling with the ConMusica shoulder brace, but I will get there soon.)
Hi Julia, this is Bret...Bretislav. I try to learn this song, but it is a little difficult for me to follow you here. All yhr other songs from you I can follow great. But this one has too much talking explaining how beautiful this song is. By the time we get to play, I forger where we were. Can you please, please show more and often the actual playing and finger placing. That will be really helpful. Thank you. Bret
Thank you ! I’m from Hong Kong . I am an adult learner. I just lost my violin teacher (she passed away) . I will continue my learning with your channel. Thank you !
Hi Ernest, I'm sorry to hear about your violin teacher. Regarding your continued violin learning. I've added a new feature on my website that you may find helpful: violinspiration.com/free-violin-lessons-beginners-intermediates-online/

I wish you could arrange the pieces according to difficulty.. I'm confused what comes after ode to joy .twinkle..and do ri mi.. Your book has been such a great help thank you so much ❤🎻
Thank you so much for "breaking down" or translating such beautiful pieces to their simplest form so even a beginner can join in making our violins sing so meticulously.
Hello, I love your videos. Can you please make 2nd and 3rd part of the song a little bit slower and possibly show your finger placement from another angle? Thank you.
Wow to be honest you are really a good teacher when it comes to violins I have subscribed to your channel cause am learning how to play a violin in 2021 please would you make a tutorial on a song called coat of many colors by Dolly Parton please cause it was my dad’s favorite and I want to play it on his memorial 🙏 thank you soo much for you great tutorials
This is one of my favorite songs. I want it played at my funeral in the Christian friendly version (omitting the verse about sex). My oldest biological daughter learned to sing it acapella for my birthday, and videoed it and posted it to my page on Facebook. Her grandfather has custody of her (long story I do not want to talk about), and has not let me see her or talk to her in seven years. So every little thing about my oldest two daughters is super precious to me beyond words. This song is one of those things. Before her video I just liked it, after it is almost as special to me as the word of G_d.
Thank you for sharing this David! It is indeed a special song to many and for many more different reasons. I appreciate you sharing yours and wish you the best when practicing it.
Hi Julia! I have observed that the way you tune your violin, and the way it is done in Carnatic Music is a bit different. Could you please share the Do-Re-Mi equivalent of the strings with finger positions? Thank you! I really appreciate it.
Hi Nicanor 😊 you can get the free Sheet Music For Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen here: violinspiration.com/hallelujah-lenard-cohen-violin-tutorial-sheet-music/
