Chinmounts.com review and install. Best chin mount ever on Scorpion exo R1 air

- Hey guys so in my search I found Chinmounts.com. They make 3D printed chin mounts for almost ay helmet out there. My helmet (Scorpion EXO R1 AIR Carbon) has a very unique vent in the front that wont let me use a generic mount that isn't massive. I hope this video gives you a better insight into this great product.

I have been using this mount now for a few weeks and I love it. Very light, holds tight and provides perfect angles to catch great video. Online they say if you ever want to replace this that its as easy as heating the mount and pulling off. Well, that's not totally true. Yes you can do that, but have you ever tried pulling off 3M tape? I tied taking off the safety leash part, via this method, and its not coming off. If it doesn't can tell that what's left will not look good at all. Just keep in mind this is permanent.

I have a scorpion too. So happy that I found this mount. Installed today and it holds gopro perfect. Only one think - they need to use black tape. Mount is black, helmet is black, tape between- light gray🤷♂️ I Painted it with the permanent marker😅
Yeah honestly it’s the best solution for a GoPro mount I have found. Chin mount is the best angle for recording and this lets me keep the functionality of the chin vent.
Yeah I really love this helmet. It’s my favorite helmet I have had so far.
Yeah I haven’t had much of an issue with the grey, but could look cleaner with black for sure. Enjoy your new mount.

I’ve heard good and bad things about them, I just installed one on my helmet tonight hopefully everything works like it needs to.

How has the tape held up over time i just got mine about to install it but seeing people having issues with tape detatching from the mount itself 😅

How well does the gorpro pick up your voice while riding with the media mod? Looking at getting the chin mount and the media mod
It picks up perfect, but you have to make sure to have the GoPro settings right. Turn off noise canceling and also higher bit rate made me have perfect audio

Mine came off right away since it pressed against the vent and it came with loose 3M tape. Its overpriced garbage imo

What is the chin mount like after a few months? It looks 3d printed and unless they have done alternating directions I would expect it to be weak along the printing direction? Hope to hear from you cos I'm looking at buying one for my AGV helmet
