"The first 45 minutes of my practice time." Man, I am ashamed at how little I practice.

Generally speaking, the amount of time spent practicing doesn't matter. 10 minutes of focused, constructive practice where you're making good habits is far better than an hour spent playing too fast and out of control.
For me, I'm trying to "segment" my practice session into sets of ten. First ten minutes, I play 3 full-range scales the best I can. Next 10 minutes, I focus on only two measures of a complicated piece.
Next, I might relax for 10 minutes and goof off. The next 10 minutes, I try to improve. It doesn't have to be an hour of grueling practice.
      It's really that easy.

You are a lifesaver! I had a solo in my concert yesterday that wouldn't have sounded the way it did without this video. The A key had just been bothering me for so long! Just one question: I have noticed that the fabric actually slows me down and it becomes harder to play faster. Do you keep the fabric on permanently or just when you have slow pieces? And what about a piece that is Andante and Allegro?

haha I was looking at that metronome thinking "man the intonation on that horn is messed up!" before I realised it wasn't in tuner mode haha

yessir! for parts of the video I think I had my tuner turned off. The metronome was indeed on.
