@@jennyharrison4 Thanks Jennifer, I know I can do better, maybe could have shaved off 60/90s if I hadn’t filmed on the run. I’ve just lost fitness because of the 75% running volume drop. I think my heel might be recovering though, very gradually😀
@@markg99 Thanks Mark, I didn’t push it until lm5 just to be sensible with the heel, which was ok during the run, but not great on Saturday morning so I’m glad I volunteered😊
@@RunFreeandStrong Thanks Reto, the time was just ok tbh, I would have liked to be 25 mins or less but using the phone definitely slows you down, it interferes with your concentration and coordination🙁According to Strava my fitness is building nicely over 1/3/6 month periods😀
Hi Andy, it was nice chatting to you last week at Woodbank parkrun. I was at Capesthorne Hall Cheshire half marathon today. My time was 1:35, so not bad for my first half marathon. This 5k route looks good. I will keep my eyes open for the future. Well done!
@@jamesbailey5220 Hi James, yes it was great to meet you, congratulations on your 1:35 HM, that’s superb. I’ll be happy with sub 2:15 at Manchester in October😊 Thanks for your support😀
Great video Andy, been looking forward to this. Looked a really nice run and you definately lucked out with the weather. Not 25 mins but not shabby either especially with the reduced run volume. Well done 👏
Thanks Craig, it’s a major event in the 5K race calendar I reckon, weather perfect, I’ll do it again but maybe not film as it slowed me down by probably 60-90 seconds holding the phone/concentration etc. I’m wondering what’ll happen in London for the 10K, fitness very uncertain🙁
@AndyCliffMTB maybe time for that action camera upgrade. I would have smashed several phones by now so you've done really well. I might have a spare one you could utilise in time for London if you like see how you find it 😉
@@TheRunningWhale I’ve ummed and ahhd over the action camera for quite a while tbh, I think I baulked because I thought I’d then need to invest in a new MacBook as I’ve done everything on my iPhone so far. I think someone told me recently that I could still use iPhone and import footage from a GoPro/Insta but I didn’t pursue it. Very kind offer Craig, I’ll let you know😊
@@IRunDaily Thanks Ian, I think it’s getting better, I did Tetbury on Saturday and it seemed fine on Sunday morning, usually I’ll feel pain the day after so I’m hoping it’s fine for London on Sunday🙏
Nice one. I Vlogged the race too but messed up my camera settings so the in-race dining stopped after 10 min just before 3k 😢. Hope your heel was ok. Maybe race the spring 2025 event when fully fit👌
@@sagsdothedu Oh that’s a shame, I was just using my iPhone every km, it definitely slowed me down firing up the phone every 4/5 minutes. You must be quick if you did 3K in around 10 mins💪. My heel was a bit sensitive the day after so glad that I volunteered😊
@@AndyCliffMTB we managed to get through but by the time we parked up it was way too close to start time to race. Brilliant race though and I’m booked onto the next one 😃
Glad it went well. Looked a nice course and well done on the time! Anything below 30mins in a 5k I find impressive 😂

@AndyCliffMTB no problem it's just gathering dust and FYI it's very easy to transfer to your iPhone to edit 👍

Good run! I arrived 7 min before the race so didn’t end up racing. Just did a vid in the end.
