Michael Schumacher, Ralf Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen, David Coulthard, Jarno Trulli, Jenson Button, Giancarlo Fisichella, Jacques Villeneuve, Heinz Harald Frentzen, Ruben's Barrichello,Jos Verstappen, Olivier panis, and 2 debutant drivers Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen... cool memories
How to have fun: > Get your favorite F1 Car > When the race starts, turn around and wait for the first car to finish the first lap > Drive High Speed frontal into another car and get thrown in the air
My god. The launches I was able to get on Monza. I remember one race I started 20th and threw myself into Schumacher at the first corner, and flew half way round the track. Fantastic memories.
Man, I have been watching this for months and did not realise the guy who uploaded it was the one who got me flying FSX in the first place! Happy to see you're still somewhat around, considering how much you influenced my childhood!
I will admit the EA games had the edge, but this game is far from "awful." The graphics are acceptable for a 2001 game (also considering that this was ported from the PS1 game). The title music for this game is pretty awesome, better than the EA ones. I don't think any of the Studio Liverpool F1 games were spectacular. F1: CE on the Ps3 was the last and best attempt (similar to F1: 99-02 by EA, their last and greatest); now, CodeMasters has outdone SL by far, sparking new interest in F1 games.
This song, and this intro, really did make you feel like you were in the future of circuit racing. The power of nostalgia.
For me, it gave me a retro-disco vibe since I bought the game way after 2001, so it was a throwback for me!

Not forgetting Juan Pablo Montoya, perhaps only surpassed by Hakkinen and Alonso as Schumacher's greatest threat
Codemasters should learn about this introduction. My favourite game for sure
True. What an intro!
HOLY SHIT! That brings me back.
Good times!
This was such a good F1 game.
If it had some type of career mode, I'd argue it'd compete with games of today.
wow this music, i don't use to play this game a lot, but i just insert the game to hear that sound
Me either I didn’t like the handling in this game but use to love the music
Oh my...this is a full throwback to my childhood!
I love play this game with my dad, man, thanks for posting the intro!
no problem! It was one of my first racing games, and I still don't grow tired of the intro
One of my very first video games played as a kid.
this was my first "serious" racing game as a kid!
I was play this game when i was a kid :P
I LOVE THIS GAME :P
AND MUSIC IS ORGASM :=)
Yes, I love the game just because I was greeted with this song with it started!
How to have fun:

Haha true, especially in a fast track like Monza or Hockenheim
My god. The launches I was able to get on Monza. I remember one race I started 20th and threw myself into Schumacher at the first corner, and flew half way round the track. Fantastic memories.
I swear as a kid, I would only play this game to piss Murray Walker off "MICHAEL SCHUMACHER! HE'S JUST HIT MIKA HAKKINEN! HAVE A WORD WITH YOURSELF!"
I remember the game...old memories awake! :D
I borrowed from a friend last month!
Please, come back, PS2 times!
Man, I have been watching this for months and did not realise the guy who uploaded it was the one who got me flying FSX in the first place! Happy to see you're still somewhat around, considering how much you influenced my childhood!
someone who is also interested in both flight sim and F1? great to hear!

Just like you :)
If I made your day your welcome
I'll admit the music in this game was pretty awesome. Back then I would just leave the TV on in the background to let the music loop
WOW The memories, great track
What a awesome music is this..!!
the music was what made this intro so memorable even 20 years later!
It's entirely composed by the trance legend Nick Bracegirdle aka Chicane, check out his albums, they are great!
Thats True

@@Musicguy421yeah exactly I remember him back in 2001 his last time he was in the commentary box before he got replaced by James Allen
i dont know if you have seen, but on the introduction, its showing the 2000 model of jordan, Minardi, and Williams ; )
I REALLY WANT CRY THIS GAME WAS MY GAME OF CHILD

@@Musicguy421 This game right here is the reason I still follow F1 today. Hundreds of hours spent on this game as a kid
@@fiftyin07 Same! I might not even know F1 exists if it weren't for my mom finding this game
Wait, so you're telling me America never got F1 2002, 2004, 2004, 2005 or 2006 for ps2? Woah.
TuentiHP40 Nope. We did, however, get Championship Edition which is as close to 2006 as we can get.
i agree, 2001 is my 2nd favorite
@xtoc715 the song doesn't seem to have a name since as far as i see, it is exclusive to this game only
I remember the video, but I definately don't remember that song? which is weird as I spent pretty much a whole year on it, lol
Nostalgia anyone?
Definitely, especially when looking at the cars/games of today!
i want this song
Formula 1 2001 Arabic Intro
put the ps2 disc into a computer, copy the pss file into windows movie maker
i like many things
What this music is?
from what I heard, Chicane made this track specifically for the intro to this game
jk on know it's a ps2, but how did you record a ps2 in game
14 May 2014
f1 2001
@Garfie489 nahh 2003 mate!!!
no way you got the psp hack working?!
me too
Modern F1 games should have intros like this 😐 or at least as an eater egg
yeah they can start by bringing Chicane back to make the music!
i think 1995/1997 is better ^^' but 2001 still good if you compare only PS2 games.
this is ps2
personaly i think the 2005 one is better and the best
it also goes as one of my faveroute intros ever

Dzięki!
