It’s a weird feeling as you get older. These guys were stupid funny when I was 20 and growing up seeing these guys get older with you. It’s awesome to see them just paying tribute to a great comedian but a great friend and having fun with the same material that’s made us laugh for decades. Thanks for everything guys and I know Farley and and McDonald are proud of all you guys for sticking together. ❤️
My buddy and I acquired the ‘They’re all gonna laugh at you’ cd when we were like 10/11 We used to jam it and sneak it between each other and our friends as kids. The goat 🐐 still cracks us all up to this day.
I can't even - the moment would have meant so much to Chris Farley. Rewatching the original skit, I forgot how much energy he brought to the song, just as the titular character. He made Adam laugh, even though it had to have been rehearsed. They made beautiful music together...in their own way. It's heartbreaking he's not there to share the ovation.
Oh God , this group of people, all my childhood stars. And they all got together here. Tears with emotions can't stop.... My stars, my life, my memories.
I bet that for the Sandman, to be in one place with all your closest friends is happiness enough. Everything else is just what's supposed to happen. Congratulations!
True story... Back in the early 90's my friend got a dresser from a yard sale and there was a tape inside one of the drawers. It wasn't labeled, and we just *had* to listen to it. It was Adam's first album called "There All Gonna Laugh At You." We listened to it over and over, the only problem was we didn't know who the hell it was on the tape! Well, one night we are watching SNL, Sandler & Farley perform Lunch Lady Land and the mystery was solved!!!
Songs like Lunch Lady Land are exactly why Adam is so loved. He pays respect to and honors the everyday people. When he first did this song how many in our generation were immediately taken back to the cafeteria and the Lunch Lady, and felt exactly like What Adam was singing about?
Watching this brought tears to my eyes congratulations Adam you deserve this award Chris Farley is smiling and crying your are without a doubt the best actor in show business thank you for all your movies
I had a smile on my face during this entire performance. Seeing all of those talented guys on stage having such a great time honoring Adam, including the keyboardist, and then seeing how happy it made Adam.. so truly wholesome. ❤
I was born in 1986, this song was my anthem growing up. Wild to throw myself back to watching this SNL skit on repeat via VHS. Thx for the memories Sandman #ripchrisfarley
Yeah man,.. can't stop crying. You're the shit brother, for sure. You've got a hell-of-a group of friends there buddy,.. and a hell of a family that loves you out here in the world too. ALL THE BEST MY FRIEND! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVELY FAMILY, AND GOD BLESS ALL THE GUYS/GALS THAT HAVE STOOD WITH YOU IN ALL THAT YOU'VE DONE. - I love you man; out here -
Where does the time go!? I was 6 years old when I saw Adam Sandler in SNL doing the Opera Man. I snuck the TV on while my dad was sleeping and I woke him up because i couldn’t stop laughing haha
Was born in 96 and Adam Sandler was like my father on tv i still watch his reruns and they still make me bust up laughing every one em. Please dont stop Mr. Sandler.
This was the first song that introduced me to Adam's comedy music, and to this day, I can't even sing it without cracking up! This is probably my favorite song of his, too.
I love how genuinely delighted Adam was at his friends singing his own song. It's like it's not even his song and he's just happy to see them singing in goofy voices for him.
Thank you for posting this! I love this, so happy for Adam, love all his movies but the SNL bits and songs were the best, he is so funny, i grew up watching him, the chemistry between him and Chris Farley was hysterical ❤
Everytime I have made or had Sloppy joes That part plays in my head in Adam's voice. 🍔 as well as when I was having to mop mop mop mop..all day long mop mop mop while I sing this song.
Not me here shaking my head back and forth with a gruntled voice “Sloppy Joe, Sloppy, Sloppy, Joe yeaaaah, Sloppy Joe, Sloppy Sloppy Joe yeaaaah” literally out loud. This man is the Bain to my existence! I met him on a very significant time in my life in a restaurant…. I should not have approached him. I had just moved to Los Angeles from New York. It was the first time that I had been away from my family ever. On a holiday. New Year’s Day to be exact I moved to LA from New York in November and it was New Year’s day that year in 2007 going into 2008. I knew I was a not allowed to just approach a celebrity, but I had to. He was not my table, but I approached him, and I had to say some thing because my little brother and I knew every single line of every single movie he had done thus far. I approach the table, respectfully, introduce myself, and apologize for disrupting their service, but it was my first time away from my family in my whole life and it was a holiday and Adam said to me, what is your name? I told him my name, and I told him how my brother and I knew all of his lines and you all of his movies and I had just moved out here to LA from New York and I had to introduce myself and say hello. He then pursuit to himself, as if I did not know him and the rest of his family he asked what my brothers name was he proceeded to ask why did I move out to LA? I told him for a change of weather and a change of life we chitchatted for few moments and he told me he that he wishes the best for me and he asked me what my brothers name was I told him, Daniel, he then wished me and Daniel a happy new year and much success in our lives. That was the most beautiful exchange I have ever received from a celebrity in my now 20+ years of service. I took this meeting as a sign that I was where I was supposed to be, and continued on my journey. I love you, Adam and your family and your heart and spirit, and always are think highly of you and your processes are thank you for being kind and humble real as fuck God bless you and your wife and your children and your mother and your siblings and your entire family . First time I’ve ever shared the story. Peace out Cub Scout’s.
Man, Adam really is truly a legend. I've been a fan since his tapes. The severe beating of a High School Teacher will live with me until I die 😂😂😂😂 And the janitor song.😂😂😂
I'm hoping Adam Sandler sees this!! My name is Kara from Hudson NH. I work at Hills Garrison elementary as a lunch lady. Myself and 3 other Co workers like to perform songs, dance and be goofy for the kids during lunch time. We dress up and bring in microphones. Our last performance was for spring break we dance, sing, hulahoop, and jump rope. We sang vacation by the go go girls. This Friday is lunch lady appreciation day. It would be amazing if Adam would help us and perform "the lunch lady" we lovvvvve the song and haven't performed it yet..... even if he would Skype with us for it. Please help us Adam. And others, help us spread the word!
Could not love this more. So imperfectly perfect! 😂❤ Love them all. Missing the GOAT lunch lady, Chris Farley. You wore the hair net, apron, and big hairy mole so well.❤
as a DC native i would have love to scalp some tickets to this one....thank Zues for YT so I could have a front row seat. Sandman ur one of the best to ever done it , bout time you been recognised.
The fact that all of his friends have a pitch perfect Adam Sandler impersonisation speaks to how much they love him.
It’s a weird feeling as you get older. These guys were stupid funny when I was 20 and growing up seeing these guys get older with you. They were stupid funny when "THEY" were 20
You button hooked me!
Like I got fuckin no dukes old man!
The Roger Staubach reference kills!
Amen.
I love that Adam was laughing and clapping in time & singing along.
he's a real one
This entire event was so wholesome. It makes me so happy.
I mean other than Norm MacDonald not showing up it was great. That guy is a real jerk
Its garbage . Not even Funny anymore .
Your sentiment is lovely, Mr. B., but out of curiosity: What exactly do you think the word "wholesome" means?
RIP farley, i can see him dancing aroudn while they sing from in heaven, /crying so hard while smiling
I can't even - the moment would have meant so much to Chris Farley. Rewatching the original skit, I forgot how much energy he brought to the song, just as the titular character. it first was on adam's firstalbum.highly reccomend it.
Don't pretend to know what Farley would have thought.
@@thinkbeforyouvoteyeah might aswell be a cunt about it, Farley would have hated every second of this trash right?
Chris and Norm, I'm happy to see everyone but can't feel sad for the those have gone by.
@@thinkbeforyouvote oh,go away…kill joy!
Oh God , this group of people, all my childhood stars. And they all got together here. Tears with emotions can't stop.... My stars, my life, my memories.
Calm down 🤣
Hahaha no doubt man. It's gonna be ok man.
What a sweet subtle way to include Chris Farley in this tribute to Adam Sandler ❤
Not surprised Schneider did the best Sandler voice
I bet that for the Sandman, to be in one place with all your closest friends is happiness enough. Everything else is just what's supposed to happen. Congratulations!

Almost like the 'Soup Nazi' episode of Seinfeld, but with a positive ending.
so beautiful - i can't imagine what a delight
Curtis they probably sold you that gold mine of a cassette tape and then just threw in the dresser extra 😂
Noooooooooo! They’re all gonna laugh at you!!! One of his greats! I still have my Adam Sandler CD’s with all his greats on them.
Dude that’s awesome
Songs like Lunch Lady Land are exactly why Adam is so loved. He pays respect to and honors the everyday people. When he first did this song how many in our generation were immediately taken back to the cafeteria and the Lunch Lady, and felt exactly like What Adam was singing about?
Not sure if the tears are for Chris or just realizing were all getting old .. ah where did the time go!
Yup blink and a decade has gone by.
Both, I think. In a blink I woke up 58. 😮
Watching this brought tears to my eyes congratulations Adam you deserve this award Chris Farley is smiling and crying your are without a doubt the best actor in show business thank you for all your movies
A small slice of Hollywood that is wholesome and pure
I like how they worked in some choppin' broccoli" there, nicely done.
Choppin broc-o-lie!!!!
My face hurt last night. I couldn't stop smiling. This was amazing and well deserved for the SANDMAN!!
Steve "The Boosh" Buscemi doesn't get enough credit as a comedian. Hilarious guy.
This is the reason why whenever I hear sloppy Joe, I start signing it like that lol! What an excellent tribute and blast from the past!
The amount talent on that stage is amazing.
And I would trade them all for Chris Farley. Except maybe Steve Buscemi
All that amazing talent, and also Rob Schneider!
THESE EARLY SANDLER ALBUMS WERE SO FUNNY WHAT A NICE TRIBUTE
I had a smile on my face during this entire performance. Seeing all of those talented guys on stage having such a great time honoring Adam, including the keyboardist, and then seeing how happy it made Adam.. so truly wholesome. ❤
Is the keyboardist the same guy from his special?
Your sentiment is lovely, Aly, but out of curiosity: What exactly do you think the word "wholesome" means?
I was born in 1986, this song was my anthem growing up. Wild to throw myself back to watching this SNL skit on repeat via VHS. Thx for the memories Sandman #ripchrisfarley
Adam looking at his wife every 3 stanzas with zero reciprocation warms my heart
😅 it happens
She’s just being a good audience member.
😂
the lady with her back to the entire performance?!?! I would sell a limb to be there!!
She probably knew she would be on video. lol
Makes me remember Farley and smile. Underrated skit for sure.
As much as this was for Adam (congrats)🎉, I can't think but wish that Chris Farley (🙏) was there with this song. RIP 😢
Adam is truly having the time of his life. This some real shit, they're really celebrating this man. I love it.
Yeah man,.. can't stop crying. You're the shit brother, for sure. You've got a hell-of-a group of friends there buddy,.. and a hell of a family that loves you out here in the world too. Up in heaven, Chris Farley is watching this with Norm MacDonald. They are smiling and having a beers and beers and more beers for Adam. :)
I love how genuinely delighted Adam was at his friends singing his own song. It's like it's not even his song and he's just happy to see them singing in goofy voices for him.
Well deserved Adam!!!! Congratulations a fan for life..thanks for all the laughs in the past!!
To this day, any time I hear the word hoagie, or grinders, I sing this tune! It's forever engrained into my being.
This is something wonderful and sad and funny all at once. And that's why american Humor is the purest. I am allowed to say that because i am german.
No better tribute to the sandman. You can tell how much he is loved by his friends
I had completely forgotten about Adam's comedy albums, this got me feeling nostalgic for sure, love all these guys, then and now
Right on...what a wonderful group of friends celebtating a truely talented man. 👍👏
One of the best ceremonies ever
Thank you for posting this! I love this, so happy for Adam, love all his movies but the SNL bits and songs were the best, he is so funny, i grew up watching him, the chemistry between him and Chris Farley was hysterical ❤

Time does fly!!
I love how much Adam loves this.
Absolutely put a smile on my face and shed a tear.
Yeah Chris Farley looking down and smiling.
This captures The human condition surprisingly, very very well. How can something so silly be so heart warming. True friendship.
Now those are real friends!!😂😂❤❤🎉
Epic! You just know Farley is watching on, smiling from ear-to-ear!
I effing loved this. And it confirmed I'm old when I knew the words
Sandler was part of one of the best post-original SNL casts. They were just so stupid funny... glad to see they still are! 😎
I forgot this song existed, yet somehow every word came flooding back to me as they played!
National week of mourning when this man passes
Friends ❤❤❤
The end of that song reminds me of Farley RIP

Shout out to all the cafeteria lady's and gents out there. This song was and is truly for you. Fucking love it.
