I think the best thing about MLS that fans don't seem to realise is MLS teams have way too little debt compared to teams abroad as our teams are fairly new

I only saw these highlights and those Columbus crosses and passes were good, but Miami defence still doing the typical junior mistakes. Everyone looking at the ball and no one looking for opponent players. On the first goal it was 5vs1 - 5 Miami guys staring at the ball and 1 Columbus player standing in the middle totally free. I'm still waiting for that one match where Miami defence actually plays organized for 90 minutes.

nah, that's silly. While it's true that Messi played a big part in reconfiguring Inter Miami and drastically changing it to make it an actually competent team (for MLS standards, that is), the thing is that currently Inter Miami are one of the top teams in the MLS even without Messi. Messi hasn't played a match for Miami in 2 months, and Miami have won, without him, about 8 matches I think, and lost 2. Nothing to be ashamed about, really. They also were doing pretty well with the 2-0 lead this match against Columbus, but they completely disintegrated mentally after the first Columbus goal. Gotta work on that mental resilience and never take a match for granted again, that was their mistake. They put their guard down because they were winning, and paid for that dearly.

Yes they have been doing well and are now one of the top teams in the MLS and plus they had earlier matches than most teams in the eastern conference. I don't think anyone here understands that this guy's comment is meant as a compliment for Messi. Before Messi this club won no trophy, they were losing way too many times, and they couldn't even fill a stadium. So Messi winning a trophy with this club is another achievement that is Messi as he carried a trash club to victory! Unlike Ronaldo.
Most people outside the USA don't understand that these extra trophies are considered so lightly in the USA that many teams don't send their first teams. That's why Miami despite being last in the league had already advanced deep in the tournament. It's quite typical for low ranked teams to win these extra tournaments because the teams that are playing for the MLS rarely make a big effort unless they are going for a trifecta or something.

There were 3 major problems.
1. Busquets at CB. Im sorry, I live busquets but he disappears from that defense and then there a major whole in the defense that any team will and have taken advantage of. Miami had that terrible 6-1 loss when Busquets was playing CB btw.
2. They needed Messis pace and individual brilliance up front. Suarez had dozens of opportunities where he was one on one with a defender but he passed it back. Suarez is a great technical player but he needs a player like Messi on the pitch since hes so immobile.
3. If Suarez shot that last chance first time its 3-3.
