    Hi Katherine,
    Please email me via my website, Do-It-Yourself-Joint-Pain-Relief (click the link in the video description above). We might need to go back and forth a bit, so I can get some more information about your situation. My primarary question is that you say "the surgery was successful, but I still have PN and pelvic pain," so contact me through my website and we'll discuss it.
    Thanks,
    Gary Crowley

    Thank you for your video. I am thankful that people like you exists on this planet. You are doing it for free and it just amazes me. It releases my pain I was just diagnosed with Sacroiliac Joint Pain, and your video helped me so much. I hope you will live a healthy life free of pain. I am feeling amazingly good.
    Will this kind of exercise help me on the long run? I hope so because the pain is really annoying.

      Hello sprudio,
      You are very welcome. Yes, this will help you in the long run, but if you use your body in a way that makes these areas tight, then you may have to do some routine "maintenance" to keep things free.
      Also, my free website Do-It-Yourself-Joint-Pain-Relief (click the link in the video description above) has videos for every joint in your body if you ever need it.

    SI joint issues have been creeping up on me for about 10 years and made recently worse by yoga sessions involving spinal twists. I have tried things like Osteopathy, Rolfing and Physio and none but the Rolfing brought such quick and sustained relief as your exercises. Thanks for sharing this helpful and empowering information.
    One question. When I use the tennis ball on and around my tensor fascia latae the pain is excruciating. Should I just plug away at this spot, push through it?

    I searched my symptoms on the net and your videos came up. I tried them and instantly found relief and it feels as though it may totally eliminate my pain. I was told that my core muscles are too weak to support my frame and that my right ligament is stretched and makes it so the si joint gets stuck and gets inflamed. What do you think about that? I feel that it was the tight muscles that created the inflammation and pain. Thx again!

    Hi Gary, thank you for these videos, I've had si joint pain for years, I tried chiro which seems to relieve and aggravate it, then I tried acupuncture which relaxed some of the muscles for a while, then I tried physio with exercises and stretching, which didn't include any of your great stretches. Then I tried dry needling which relaxed those muscles a lot more than acupuncture but still didn't cure the problem. I also was given a belt to wear which near crippled me a couple days ago.

    2/2 The pain is dull, constant and nagging. Night and day. No tingling and heat/cold sensations or sharp pain. Also, the joint is very stiff when exrotating, there's sort of a block. When I bump the bone or apply sudden pressure right under the butt, it hurts like CRAZY, but it recedes right away, the other leg is fine. The other joint is completely free in movement, no pain or stifness. Pain has been in 1 spot for 4 years now. If you can crack this you're a wizard.

    I have chronic pain on the outside/side of my left leg/hip. Especially at night it is undoable. There is no position which relieves the pain, side,front or back. The first time i had this it lasted 1.5 yrs and it graduated from a mild pain to an unbearable pain in a couple of months, and then it diminished over the course of about ten months. Then it came back a year later and it has now lasted for over 1.5 yrs already. Ive had echo's, MRI's CT's and x-rays, they cant find a THING. Any advice?

    Are these safe and or effective for pregnancy related si joint pain
    I've been to a chiropractor and diagnosed for si pain. My right buttock is in so much pain at times where I cannot stand, sit or walk. Whatever position I'm in at the time of the pain, I'm just "stuck" there. To "cure" the problem, do u feel its about stretching or chiropractor adjustments? Thanks for any advice!

    I've been having serious back pain for about three years. I'm only 21 and I had my son two years ago. I did see a chiropractor for about three months and it helped. But what I'm curious about is; is it common for someone my age to have back issues? I am in constant pain from my sacoriliac joint. I just feel like I'm "falling apart' haha.
    Thanks for your videos, They helped! =)

    Also, if my SI pain is exclusively on my right side, which side should I focus on, or is that hard to say? You suggest at 3:12 that it could go either way, but what is typical?

    Gary, does this just relieve your discomfort? In other words, does this help to rid of the problem all together?

  • @garycrowley1
    @garycrowley1  11 лет назад

    Hi Anthony,
    The answer is a "yes" to both questions. Releasing the inappropriate tension in the tissue negatively affecting your SI joint should both relieve your discomfort and get rid of the problem all together. BUT if you do things (like doing squats) on a regular basis that creates more tension you will have to do some regular maintenance to stay free. Or if you didn't release everything that affects your SI you may get relief, but need more work to stabilize things.
    Best,
    Gary Crowley

    omg, thank you so much. I have had the worse pain ever since I was 34 weeks pregnant and my back just went out on me. I could barely get out of bed and was walking bent over to the doctor. The pain was so bad, I went into preterm labor and had to have it medicinally stopped. since I had my baby, the pain just never went away. It's worse when I first wake up in the mornings, have to roll myself out of bed and sit there for a minute before I can even stand due to this lower SI back pain. It feels like my spine is pulling apart down there when I even jump up and down. I sometimes can't even pick my small children up because of my pain down there where my pelvis meets my spine. I have looked everywhere to try to figure out what is going on with my back. after researching online, I finally found out this HAS to be my problem. the exercises you mention here definitely pinpointed where my pain is. I am starting my exercises today and hope this helps me. thank you for these videos, they are so informative and helpful.

    Gary Gary Gary .. i dont know why you do it all for free but the world thanks you and it will come right back to you for sure. After months of toil and searching I finally came across your videos and went right through your site and instantly relieved pain all over my sorry joints.
    One question I do have is in regards to sitting for long periods - do you have any tips for sitting that may stop the joints/muscles from getting so tight/sore in the first place ? Or is it just a matter of constantly doing your techniques after long periods of sitting .
    Thanks again, you are gem

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  10 лет назад

      Hello FiddiTwo,
      You are very welcome. I'm always happy to know my videos/website has helped someone, so thanks for commenting. After you've done everything you can to make sure you are sitting as ergonomically correct as possible, I will often recommend to my patients that they sit on a tennis ball or baseball at different times during the day. Just find a tight/painful/tender spot in your hips, sit on that spot with the ball and forget about it for 10 minutes (or more). Then find another tight spot and do the same. You can do this throughout the whole day when you feel like it and it can help a great deal. Same with a ball under your hamstring (leg) if your chair will allow it. Same with driving for long periods of time as well.
      Lastly, please feel free to tell friends about my free website Do-It-Yourself-Joint-Pain-Relief (click the link in the video description above) where I have videos for every single joint in the body. Together, who knows how many people we can help!
      All the best,

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  9 лет назад

      Hi Travis,
      Yes, you may be a little sore depending on how hard you work on the tissue. Usually in a day or two and passes and then you can work on the area again.

    Hi Gary, Love your videos :) I had Bilat TransGluteal surgery for Pundendal Nerve Entrapment 3 years ago...the surgery was successful but I still have PN and pelvic pain. I long to release the tension and muscle spasms but also fear aggravating those nerves that I had surgery on. Do you think a tennis ball in the glutes would be helpful or hurtful in my case? I am not even supposed to sit. Also, my coccyx was broken and fused forward at 90 degrees Thanks!

    Hello Gary I really appreciate your videos I had a injury about 2 years ago I slipped and smacked the front part/pelvic region of my hip into the ball of a hand rail. Ive seen a handful of doctors the past year with plenty of X-rays, ct scans, and a MRI. The pain I have feels like pressure and for the most part its only when I'm sitting, when I stand the pressure/pain goes away and this pain is in the hip region about the belt line area. I have found if I wear my belt to tight it causes the pain to increase. I also have pain pressure feeling in my lower back when there is pressure applied. its tender a few inches left of my lower spine in the buttocks region. I can really feel it if i push my fingers and apply pressure. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Ive watched your videos and visited your website thanks for all the great information. Thanks again

      Hi Travis,
      My only advice is for you to keep releasing your areas of tight tissue. From your description it sounds like that's what needs to be done. Just keep working on yourself with the techniques I show you and it should help.

    I've done the other two and they work fine, but with this one when I lift my left leg (which is the side where my joint hurts) I get a mighty crunch and a kind of weak sensation/ache at the front of the hip joint - any idea what's happening there?

    Gary, thanks so much for the videos. Just kind of a broad question - if after 1-2 minutes of continuous attempts at releasing is the tenderness supposed to stop? Could someone with chronic SI joint pain thats persisted for a year take multiple sessions in order for the joint pain to go away because it has been chronically inflamed? Thanks!

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  9 лет назад

      +Josh Koenig
      Hi Josh,
      Absolutely, if there is a great deal of tension to be released it can certainly take more than one session. And often times a stubborn spot may need another area released before it will let go. So you may need to "peel the onion" and go release other area and then come back to revisit the stubborn areas. My Assessing Tight Tissue video may help clarify your question as well.

      ***** Thanks so much for the quick reply! I was also wondering about pelvic floor muscles and how they could cause sacroiliac joint pain. Once I came to the ischial tuberosity (something my ART therapist knows is an issue), I went toward the pelvic floor muscles and found them to be extremely sore when pressing. What is your opinion on releasing them and their relevance to the SI joint? Thanks again!!

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  9 лет назад +1

      +Josh Koenig
      Hi Josh,
      It's all connected, so "yes" release those tight pelvic floor muscles and your body will appreciate it - more space and freedom for your structure to function within, more blood flow, etc.
      Go for it!
      Best,
      Gary C.
