Neville mentioned one falls into the state of poverty by feeling unwanted and sorry for themselves, whilst one enters the state of affluence by feeling deserving and grateful. Neville also mentioned to change states we must learn how to move. Read the Secret of Praying, Art of Dying, and Barrabas or Jesus by Neville. Emmet Fox said to change states we must first master our current state of mind.
Thank you for your comment. Certainly we must change our thoughts to change our world. However, my own personal view is that many adverse social conditions (eg poverty, homelessness, etc) are often the result of the negative, acquiring mindsets of others, which adversely affect the conditions of others. After all, we are all interconnected in a web of life. So, we mustn't blame the poor for being poor, as some people do. Sure, their mindset may not be helping their condition but it would be wrong to blame them entirely or mainly for their unsatisfactory condition.
Inequity is natural and is an essential element of existence. We see this in every economic system ever, some people are productive, and others are not, it is only natural for wealth to be unevenly distributed. Ask yourself: are you consistently improving yourself and creating more value for your employer? Why are you dependent upon an employer? If you make yourself valuable enough you will have leverage, and you can simply find a better employer if your current one is not willing to provide pay commensurate with your value.

Everytiime I ask for a raise from my employer for the past 35+ years they operate from a place of LACK

Sadly, that is true. There is much greed and an inequitable distribution of income and wealth.
