    yep those guys at GP Audio are pretty cool I talked to them awhile back about cutting me out a new box on their cnc table I sent them my cut sheet they said they could do it all 13 ply with double baffles shipped for $250 all the fits would be very precise not a bad deal👍

    I don't see them reviewed either. Good looking out. Suggestion, maybe you can make these kind of videos for every little part you can. You can recommend the best price and best brand. It would immensely help me out and the rest of the Bassheads in the community.

      Z Hedge I cut a hole in the positive terminal plastic and just put a lug directly on the bolt

  • @Andrew_Venn
    @Andrew_Venn 4 года назад +1

    I like with that one, the shim screw can be changed for a shorter bolt, and then have a 7th smaller lug if needed. But I'll probably never need that many lol.

    ***However*** I sure would like to see where someone has figured out a way to fab-up some sort of cover for the positive side. I can't think of anything that would work.

      Put some of that liquid rubber wire insulator ? I use that stuff all the time to cover electric things it's really nice. You just apply it like a thick paint and then it dries like a rubber

    Great video as always!! but I have a question if cca wire is so bad how is aluminum battery terminal good I understand corrosion would be a factor but wouldn't copper terminal with dielectric grease be alot better but other than that they look top quality again thank you for all your videos

    • @HifiVega
      @HifiVega  4 года назад +1

      I solid piece of aluminum will handle the current and heat much better than stranded aluminum wire

    • @michaelflowers6048
      @michaelflowers6048 2 года назад

      The truth is in order of conductive properties and heat dissipation it goes Silver, Gold, Copper then Aluminum. Silver and Gold would be to expensive so Copper is the better choice then Aluminum. The problem with Aluminum is it gets hot very quickly. In turn heat causes energy loss. Copper is a much better conductive material almost 2 times better, and does not create near the heat that aluminum does. This is why most of your bus bars in electrical components is made out of copper. Some electrical suppliers are going to aluminum due to cost. It also takes twice the amount of aluminum to allow for the heat dissipation to equal that of copper. Copper is also more dense the reason it has better conductivity where aluminum is more of an airid metal.

    • @robertdouglas4414
      @robertdouglas4414 2 года назад

      @@michaelflowers6048 gold has worse conductivity than copper and some grades of aluminum, platinum is higher than silver. Gold is used as plating because it's easy to plate on to things, but very noble in terms of reactivity with the elements, plus it looks good, it isnt used as plating for it's superior conductivity, but because of its natural resistance to corrosion and its "good enough" conductivity. It's also too soft and expensive to use for anything more than plating. Silver is used in situations where corrosion is easily mitigated or the conductivity is that important, silver, while expensive, doesn't touch the cost of materials like gold and platinum.

    • @michaelflowers6048
      @michaelflowers6048 2 года назад

      @@robertdouglas4414 gold was supposed to be after copper. In order of conductivity it goes silver, copper, gold, aluminum this is what it should have said. As far as aluminum goes why do you think aluminum wiring is outlawed in house wiring it is because it puts off a lot of heat and is the cause of a lot of house fires in older houses that had aluminum wiring

    Why aluminium terminal when cca is frowned upon ???

    • @HifiVega
      @HifiVega  4 года назад +1

      daddydude2011 cca is stranded aluminum wire vs a solid milled piece of aluminum that’ll handle the power transfer much more efficiently with much less heat.
