It was tax evasion that caused Hero Of The Rails, Seasons 13 and 14 and potentially Misty Island Rescue and Day Of The Diesels from not getting the cgi hybrid animation.
I mean, I don't wanna say "blessing in disguise", but I think those media are better off being in full CGI. Don't think too many fans woulda stuck around for another year or two of S12-style combo animation.
Fun Fact: In the US, we received three 2005 60th Anniversary DVDs that have CGI animated menus, those are, Thomas’ Sodor Celebration (that has Michael Brandon as the narrator and does the character voices), Songs From The Station (which has Robin Smith from the previous US dvd releases in the early 2000s), and Calling All Engines.
Same with the 3 dvds in 2006: Track Stars (narrated by Robin Smith), Tales From the tracks and come ride the rails (both being narrated by Michael Brandon)
An interesting obversion I made whilst watching Children in Need all Stars. Thomas seems to transition, from 100% model to series 12 style between his two cameos.
You forgot that 1973 animated musical television series, planned by Andrew Lloyd Webber and animated by Brian Cosgrove. Not much is known about it but it exists.
What about ta King about engine or characters that were gonna be in the series excluding returnies so it basically about characters that was planned for the series from rws to cgi plans like barry from the rws series or little giant from season 6 they never appeared somewhere else they were new characters that were scrapped
Fun fact: In 2002, when Discovery Kids got the rights to air Thomas And Friends, the editors thought it would be awesome to add cel-shaded transitions with the main characters. These transitions aired before the transitions known in the HiT Era.
Is it wrong to say the prototype cgi episode (Thomas and the stinky cheese) didjt have bad animation? I actually like the direction the cgi went in that. Except for the faces though, they're kinds odd.
I love the video I love the amount of research you did on the aniomation of thomas really Impressive there was some thing I didn't know myself! 😊🎉😮 9:03 No offence, but that was the worst pronunciation I've ever heard of Tal-y-llyn It sounds like tylathlyn. Atleast you tried
Um ok you got it right but you forgot one thing the CGI Thomas model was leaked and then ported to blender so ya you missed one. Edit ok sorry it was something to talk about.

It was also cause it was super expensive at the time
You should really say: It was tax evasion that caused Season 6 of Fireman Sam to be rather ugly.
Man the ending really showed how much Mattel didn’t even care
Hit entertainment actually understood how special the series was man :(

I would absolutely love to see the CGI models used for Magic Railroad isolated from the actual animated shots in the movie.

7:14 that looks just amazing, would have loved to see a series 12 hero of the rails
Here in Latin America, transitions that were 3D were shown for the first time in 2002, I would say like prototypes of the transitions of the hit era.
Happy Anniversary!!!

Oh ya I forgot to say happy anniversary. My bad.
How about talking about the three strikes formula?
Fireman Sam texture, HOW DID THEY LET THAT SLIDE
The Jackie Chu cameo caught me off guard
How about the various amusement park attractions themed to Thomas?
You forgot to talk about the cgi usage in season 6
5:41 shark tale
5:24 fireman Sam error
your voice sounds like CGI diesel
5:24 That’s what happens when you rely on cheap labor. Questionable results.
These tax breaks are seriously the reason why the
Model series ended?
Man, the UK government is greedy
What about ta

And also the intro is from season 6 and the character introductions are the season 6 footages before air in september in august

I don’t know why Season 12 is mostly live-action and the other was animated.
Live action and animation hybrid indeed
9:03 visited the TELAKALLIN ?!?
it is pronounced Tæle Klin (spelled talyllin
great video

Nitrogen is by far my favourite era
