Hey Im confused, with rechargable batteries, can you use the USB C directly to charge the controller or you need to use the charger that comes with the rechargable battery
@@hiimgrup2476 I’m not sure what you mean, but if you’re asking about the battery that comes with the controller, it’s not rechargeable. You don’t need to buy the official Xbox USB C cable if you already have a USB C cable. You need to get a rechargeable battery in order to be able to use the USB C port, as if you don’t, you can just use the normal AA batteries.
The new controller isn’t as grippy as the old controller. I don’t feel as “one with the controller” as I did with the old one. Shame they don’t sell the old controller in stores anymore
I honestly think it’s the opposite, but to be fair my Xbox One controller is reaching 5 years of age. If I were you, I would just buy some grips off of Amazon.
In my area, the controllers are both the same price, but if they’re not, I would suggest getting the cheaper one as the differences are relatively insignificant.
I went to go buy a random Xbox controller cuz I really needed a controller for my laptop, at first I thought it was a one controller and now I'm realising it's a series controller 💀
I’ve heard that they both use the same stick, but in my experience the newer controller has had significantly better durability as mine as gone a many more months; however, it is now starting to develop minor drift stick.
Which one is more durable. Because some people would get stick drift and on the new one it disconnects randomly on pc. I would find these anyone only if it's not fixable. If I can't fix these problems whenever it does happen to me. Then I won't buy it.
I believe the Xbox series X controller is more durable. I've used it for quite some time and it has been perfectly fine, while as my previous Xbox One controller would've stopped working by now. I have not experienced drift in the new controller yet, but I did feel it on the older controller. I have not used the controller on PC so I do not know of the problem. I would suggest buying the newer version if possible.
I ordered xbox one controller bcos xbox series x was 10$ more price (in my country xbox one controller price is approx 65$) and the difference in controller was not that much... So was it worth to purchase xbox one controller or shud i return it back to amazon??
In the US both the xbox one and xbox series x controller are the same price ($60) so I bought the newer one. The differences are pretty few, so if you want to save 10 bucks I wouldn't blame you. Personally, I would prefer the xbox series x controller as it feels a bit more durable and it has USB C. But if that doesn't matter, I would just keep the xbox one controller. Most of my friends still own the previous controller.
Nice. I bought one from GameStop for my Xbox One. I rather get a PS5 instead of a Xbox Series X/S, the Series felt too much like another upgrade to the One, of course Flight Simulator won't work on Xbox One and some other games, but still a huge amount of Series X games have an Xbox One version or might have Last-Gen ports later.
I am also still using the Xbox one with the series x controller. I agree with your take on the series x console, many games are almost exactly the same on the Xbox one so it’s difficult for me to feel the need to buy the newer Xbox rather than the ps5.
@@mrslapmanuts Well I tried using rechargeable batteries in the 360 and it wasn't a high enough voltage. They're pretty picky and only take alkaline batteries. So it would be nice if these actually take standard NiMH rechargeable batteries but people should be careful what they believe until it's shown working.
@John Smith I'm using IKEA LADDA AA's on my Series Controller and they're working perfectly - I honestly prefer using AA's because I can just hotswap them when the current ones are dead (not to mention I won't have to toss the controller if a built-in battery dies)
@@s.baldrick3807 Sounds good. Rechargeable batteries don't work on the 360. Glad I won't have to hassle when I upgrade to the Series x (LOL I'm trying to).
I would think that would be more of an issue if you had larger hands. Well, if you’re used to using the controller triggers with your finger tips, try getting used to using more parts of your finger.
It works on windows 7 but with extra steps that you'll need to google. But connecting to PC directly trough Bluetooth is hell, there is a ton of lag and your controller will also get disconnected from time to time. If you truly want to play on windows wireless you'll need to buy the xbox wireless adapter v2, it connects easily, has much better connectivity and responsiveness. transfers music to your xbox audio jack from your computer and has more customization. BUT is stupidly expensive and dumb to have to pay so much extra to use a feature that you were supposed to get with the original xbox controller you got.
Also I think when they made them there some scruff marks in those it’s okay it won’t hurt the controller at all I don’t thinks it’s scruff at all it’s like a light spot on the controller that was built in it’s no scruff because if it was you’d feel of it was a scruff mark

Good review. Now, both XBox One and Series X/S use the same controller. Good product to use for a couple of years.
I agree. I’m still using the Xbox Series S controller with no issues.
I was wondering coming off the Xbox one is the durability a bit on the series x, because the joysticks will drift, the buttons when pressing it would activate twice and the triggers would activate more than once when letting it go.
From what I’ve seen so far, my Xbox series x controller hasn’t drifted or had any problems with the buttons while on my Xbox one controller it developed those issues relatively quickly. I believe the durability is better, but still keep care of it.
@@ExtraSpicyRice my 360 controller lasted longer but it broke even after my second to third Xbox 1 controller started to have joystick drift.
@@AngelloProduct yeah the Xbox one controllers were pretty bad I had about 3 of them.

Loved the 2016 version... the new one hurts my hands. The textured part of the controller rubbing too hard on my left pointer finger side... also my hands hurt after long sessions. It's a downgrade for me..
Yeah I can understand your issue. The stippling is quite rough, especially if you're not used it it. Amazon does offer grips if you're interested.
fun fact the sticks are not the same. the cap on the module lacks basic supports around the female receiver and can beak alot easier than the one x and s.
I did not know that.
I hate that the series x controller has a MUCH weaker vibration feature... and its smaller... they literally made it exactly the same yet somehow way worse...
In my opinion it feels pretty similar. Maybe yours was a defect and you can exchange it using the warranty.
Just bought one for my Xbox one s and I hope it’s worth it, the glossy look was cool but this matte touch looks cooler

Awesome video! Please do a xbox vs playStation controller video
I appreciate your suggestion, but unfortunately I do not own a PS5 so my parents would most likely not allow me to purchase a controller that I can't use.
Does the xbox series controller feel more similar to the ps4 controller? I got the ps5 but its too big for me when I claw, but when I don't its fine. I have pretty large hands too. Ps4s are out of stock so I ordered one of these and I had an old xbox one controller and it feels pretty good. Wanted it to be a lil smaller and they did that on the series controller so hopefully it feels closer to a ps4 but i dont mind if its like the Xbox one.
I’m not particular sure as I have only used the PS4 for a little while, but I believe so as the ps5 controller is bigger than the PS4 controller while the Xbox series controller is smaller than the Xbox one controller if that makes any sense.
is there a difference using them for PC? Is the extra adapter with X controler adds something extra for a PC gamer which you cant have with the Xbox one controller without the adapter?
No there shouldn’t be any difference, but for pc, you would need to buy the adapter separately.
Hey Im confused, with rechargable batteries, can you use the USB C directly to charge the controller or you need to use the charger that comes with the rechargable battery
You can use any USB C charger to charge the Xbox series X controller. However, you need a rechargeable battery to charge the controller.
@@ExtraSpicyRice yea but whats the point of having usb c charger if you can use the charger that comes from the battery
@@hiimgrup2476 I’m not sure what you mean, but if you’re asking about the battery that comes with the controller, it’s not rechargeable. You don’t need to buy the official Xbox USB C cable if you already have a USB C cable. Hello just wondering does the Xbox series x controller work with every game on mobile now ?
Good question, and I do not believe it works with every game, however it does work with most games on mobile.
Thanks but one thing, the battery back piece is different they don't swap out
I actually didn’t know that, thanks.
Is the distance between the left joystick and d pad closer?
I don't believe it is, but it may seem like that because the new xbox controller has an expanded d-pad to fill out the circle.
I hate how loud my series x controller is, is the Xbox one controller better in that regard?
I believe the only way that controller is louder is in it’s d-pad. In that sense, then yes, but that was purposeful to increase its tactility.
Sticks aim are same or not...? Which has more deadzone in sticks......?
As far as I can tell they are both the same.
The new controller isn’t as grippy as the old controller. I don’t feel as “one with the controller” as I did with the old one. Shame they don’t sell the old controller in stores anymore
I honestly think it’s the opposite, but to be fair my Xbox One controller is reaching 5 years of age. If I were you, I would just buy some grips off of Amazon.
the series X controller is 15-30 more than the X One, which should i get, the newer or the older?
In my area, the controllers are both the same price, but if they’re not, I would suggest getting the cheaper one as the differences are relatively insignificant.
I went to go buy a random Xbox controller cuz I really needed a controller for my laptop, at first I thought it was a one controller and now I'm realising it's a series controller 💀
what about stick drift on xbox series x controller, is it better than xbox one controller or is it the same?
I’ve heard that they both use the same stick, but in my experience the newer controller has had significantly better durability as mine as gone a many more months; however, it is now starting to develop minor drift stick.
@@ExtraSpicyRice hmm i see, still that problem :(
well thanks for ansearing my question :)
And the batteries run so fast too with vibration
A lot of people I know turn off vibration, but I still like it on.
It also has the vibration improvement. The xbox one controller had the vibration sound like a truck😂
Nice and simple
Thank you for the sub.
Series X controller feels better in the hand. Series X wins end of video.
I mean I agree.
Ok thanks for the reply
@@johnsonbangura3074 No problem. Usually I respond quicker but I didn’t see your comment sorry.
is there any size difference dude?
There are, the newer one is slightly smaller in the grips to accommodate smaller hands.
The bumpers are also slightly more narrow on the series controller to give a better grip
That’s correct I forgot to mention that.
Good god. They're still using throw-away batteries?
Yeah, unfortunately.
Not if you get rechargeable batteries.

Its too narrow to grab the triggers as comfortablely and i have small hands

It’s useful for fighting games
Yeah, all controllers are very good for fighting games. Personally, I don’t play very many fighting games but supposedly the clicky d-pad may be annoying.

I slightly disagree, some people don’t like the newer d pad because it is really clicky, however it just has more response than the older d pad.
Although I have the Xbox series s I’m deeply in love with the Xbox one controller
I think the launch Xbox One controller is better, design wise.
