      that sounds great. I spent a bit and then on the way home remembered I'd forgotten to buy some specific bits I'd seen in the morning. Partizan isn't far away, if I remember.

    Many thanks for taking the time to present us with some great photos. I do tend to agree with you that the lighting this year was quite poor which had not appeared to be a problem in previous years. It was heartening to see so many people there and some very creative table layouts which is always quite inspiring.

    Excellent video and commentary. A charming, talented ,sociable and gregarious gentleman like yourself should never be ignored. Heartbreaking. As you suggested, there should be outgoing public communicators for every game or display. Not nice to be excluded like that. Reminds me of the misery of childhood.

    Hi P&G, great set of pictures. Fabulous to see so many of the games 👍. Very sorry we didn’t speak to you on either of our ‘Friends of General Haig’ tables. It is tricky to balance keeping the game moving and talking to people. On the Dirschau table I was chief ‘chatter’ and was still talking at 5pm, but we obviously need to think about more ‘chatters’ and less playing still. 😀 My step count and stand count were very good on Saturday too 😅.

    Thanks for the video. I too found the lighting too dim. It is a very high ceiling but I would have liked it brighter. I had some engagement with the people at the games, but maybe the southerners tendency not to say hello led to this.

    Great photos, couldn't make this year's show, so nice to get a glimpse. All the tables looking fantastic, did you miss the "club night" tables? With 6000 pairs of feet through the door it would be hard to engage with a lot of onlookers, but I have found that issue at small shows . Enjoyed the music, at one stage in my life a woman was going to walk down the aisle to marry me to that "tune", luckily I ended up with someone else who is wonderful.

    • @PaintGlue
      @PaintGlue  Год назад

      thank you, not sure what the club night tables were, but if they were the small square tables with one chair either side, I missed most of those, mainly because most were fantasy stuff which I'm not really interested in.

    • @chriskay284
      @chriskay284 Год назад

      @@PaintGlue I feel embarrassed saying this but club night games is the less than flattering name given to games that haven't put much effort in.
      Green cloth with felt roads type of thing, which you wouldn't find at any local club every week. Nothing wrong with them, very enjoyable games, but the bar has been raised so high on presentation they are not going to get a second look.

    Looks empty to previous years and a poor foot fall again, another poor showing. They really need to changed the venue and put it out of London! most likely traders from overseas didn't again travel due to costs etc in London. Partisan and Hammerhead seem to be the shows to go to

    • @sirrathersplendid4825
      @sirrathersplendid4825 Год назад

      The vast bulk of traders were UK-based even before Brexit. Also not so keen on the venue, windowless and in the weird urban jungle that is Docklands. But if you’re in the UK, to coin a phrase, all roads lead to London.

      @@PaintGlue - All the same, there’s something deeply unnerving about the ExCel centre. It’s just so vast. And to cap it all, the bar prices are just horrible. I’m normally quite happy in Central London to shell out for a swift pint but not there.
