Handicapper approaching 70 here. You ride E-assist same as I do (slowly) on my E-assisted Hase brand Lepus (no balance required trike)! Nothing is more beautiful, than sightseeing on bicycle trails! Your videos are all scenery and informative, with no egos involved. Love watching your videos! Thank you!
We were there last fall and rode the trail the day after a hurricane hit at the end of September. The NC maintenance guys were out clearing all the downed trees and blowing the leaves and branches from the trail. They did a great job. There’s one point on the trail where you pass some soccer fields. If you take the detour to ride by the fields you can access their restrooms. We enjoyed the ride on the trail as well as all of the wooden bridges. 🚴🏼🚴🏼♂️
We biked this trail yesterday and loved it! Biked from the northern end. As a note, there are bathrooms readily available, just not noted on signs. The bathrooms we spotted are at: WRAL Soccer Complex (roughly MP6.5), Horseshoe Farm Park (roughly MP7.75), Buffaloe Road Athletic Park (roughly MP11.5), River Bend Park (roughly MP13.5, where we ate luch on a shady bench). Plenty of bathrooms!
Hi, thanks for the additional information. I agree, there are bathrooms, but you have to know where they are. So your MP's will be helpful to others. Thanks for watching.
I just put this trail on my must do list in November when I drive down to Florida from CT!! I love your videos, and I have or will be riding all your mentioned trails. If you ever find yourselves in Goshen or Middlebury, IN, you MUST ride the Pumpkinville trail, it is amazing and you will encounter the Amish on their horse and buggies. Such a beautiful ride!
Hi. Thanks for the tip on the Pumpkinville Trail. I've added it to our list of trails to ride. I hope you have fun on the Neuse River trail on your way to FL. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments.
Always a good trail. Also, being so close to the water, keeps the temperatures down in the summer. Been primarily shaded when not high noon helps as well. And never worry about the alligators here. The piranhas eat them all. Lol.
@@tjj5337 It is a really wonderful ride; and other than when you go under a couple of major highways, you wouldn't know you were right outside Raleigh. Definitely pack something to eat and enjoy nature! Thanks for watching.
Heyday brewing is like 5 blocks off of a short greenway connector. Also I can't remember if he has beer but there is a bike shop called 'the Bike Guy' right at the top of the trail by the dam.
How do you guys transport your e-bikes? We ordered to2 lectric folded bikes and we are planning to do some bike trail rides like you're doing but we are using our sienna minivan to transport and most likely we will do some of the trails that you have done, just subscribed and keep posting.
We have a Thule e-bike carrier for the back of the car. Not sure how they would work with folding bikes? Thanks for watching. As long as we can ride, we hope to keep posting. It’s great going all over to ride new trails.
There are actually several restaurants off the side of the trail at around mile marker 9.25 or so. Sergio's Pizza, Marco's Pizza, Wendy's, Zaxby's (coming in late September), China Wok (wouldn't recommend), NY Bagels, Sheetz, etc. Check the map. Also, there are actually a few bathrooms with water fountains. One I can remember is around mile marker 10. River Bend Park. Another is in Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve. Anyway, check Google Maps. The information in the video isn't correct.
Thank you for your comment. If you go back to the start of our video we stated we started in the middle and headed north. So the video is of our experience and what we found on the trail. We usually don’t point out things that require someone to get off the trail that aren’t obvious from the trail. But thanks for sharing for viewers who may want to know.
Thank GOODNESS there aren’t places to stop to eat and drink. We don’t want the southeast to resemble the concrete jungles. The masses of people moving to the south and demanding “walkable” everything is contrary to what makes the south beautiful. Very nice video. But please do appreciate rural areas for what they are instead of wishing to change them for convenience.
Thanks for your support of our channel. We live in beautiful upstate New York. Not a lot of concrete where we are - and we love it that way! It is nice to find a meal or a beer along a trail, but we too like to be out in the woods away from the cities.
We rode this trail a while ago so I’m hoping they’ve fixed the bathroom at the northern end. There are bathrooms available near some of the parking areas but not easily noticed when on the trail. If you have the TrailLink app you can see where they are. Might be worth a try? Thanks for watching and taking a minute to comment. Comments and likes help us grow our channel and provide new trail adventures.

Didn’t notice the piranhas, but i think they are stealthy fish - ha, ha. It was a very shady trail for a hot day.
awesome ride to see Ive been wanting to take this trip I live only a hr away from there. looks so beautiful
I hope you can find some time to get out on this trail -- it was beautiful. Thanks for watching!
Remember to bring your own snacks and TP
Definitely!
Looks an amazing run with one major problem........where's the beer Randy? Where's the beer???🍺
Hi Don, That is probably the one problem with this trail -- no where you can easily get to with food and drink (ha ha). Thanks for watching.
It’s a beautiful trail…. Just pack a lunch and good to go…

I wonder if i can ride a mini pocket bike through there
?? I think a mini-pocket bike is motorized? I'd suggest you Google it.

@@Adventuresonebikes Actually, I'm talking about the northern part too. Mile zero is at the north end. I've only ridden 0 through 12.5

This would be a no go for my Mrs because of your bathroom comment 😢

Might be beautiful but the smell sometimes is no good 😂
Thanks for the extra info. We didn’t experience any smell, but we were there in October.
@@Adventuresonebikes there working on like sewer lines so it's to be expected but still beautiful ❤️
Wait till the Yankees find out that river has leeches in it😂
This yankee knows about leeches - we have them up north too!! Thanks for watching.
@@Adventuresonebikes Good, I was just trying to spread the word for the uneducated ones.
