      Thanks for your kind words and your support. Probably more info that you may want.... Our bikes are Gazelle Ultimate C8’s - a class 1 ebike. Our goal when purchasing our latest bikes were (1) get more mileage out of the battery, (2) sit straighter and more comfortably. We are very happy with these bikes as they can go up to 90 miles on a single charge in ECO (we’ve never gone more than 65 miles, but never had a worry about the battery), they sit straighter and the handlebars are adjustable. Also, the bike has a Nexus 8 system -- eight gears are built into the rear hub of the wheel. They are protected against the wind and weather, and this reduces wear and maintenance. Combine this with a belt instead of a chain and your bike maintenance is kept to a minimum. You can also shift from a complete stop, which is really handy if you’re crossing a road and forgot to downshift before-hand. It has hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear fenders, a fully functional back rack and front shocks. Lastly, Gazelle is a brand that you can find in bike shops all over the country - making it easier to find service should you need it.

    Another cool video. You two really get around. You hit so many great places to bike. Thanks for letting us see your adventures. I am jealous. I would love to ride all those trails. How many times do you plan a new bike vacation a year?

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes 10 дней назад

      We have been fortunate. Finding TrailLink early on was great. That app really helps with finding great bike trails. When we were working we tried to get on a new bike trail or take a trip where we could ride several trails once a month during the summer. Unfortunately, we exhausted almost everything within a 3-5 mile drive from our home! But we are retired now, so we can take more time. We've had two cross-country trips (video on 2024 trip will be out in April), and we have another one planned for this fall. When we plan the big trips we usually have a spring trip for a month and try to get another week long trip in like June where we can take the RV. We've only been retired for a little over a year, so who knows how many we'll take in a year. All depends on our health. Thanks for your support of our channel.

    Don’t know if you guys have checked out Root River trail in Southern Minnesota . Beautiful trail that follows river and passes thru many small towns. We usually stay in Decorah, Iowa at their city campground Pulpit Rock, an 11 mile bike trail runs through the campground. We will then drive up to the Root River trail, about 30 min. drive. There is a fantastic brewery in Decorah named Toppling Goliath.

    Great video, we just discovered your channel. We also RV with our ebikes and try to plan our routes to take advantage of trails. We just went from a 28’ trailer to a Winnebago Navion class C/B+. The Blackhills is an annual trip for us, love it out there and the Mickelson Trail is fantastic. We have stayed a Rafter J Bar, it is a top notch campground. We will continue to follow your adventures and maybe cross paths sometime. We live in Iowa close to the High Tressel trail. Wow, we did the trip to Tetons and Yellowstone last summer, stayed in Gros Venture campground and rode bike trail up to Jenny Lake, beautiful, even had a black bear cross the trail right in front of us

    Cool video, I went ahead and subscribed. I am curious what you two think of the idea of " Guided " e bike tours in the Sequim/ Port Angeles area. On the ODT perhaps, and up in the mountains on gravel trails as well. Thinking of a business venture that would be " fun ".... Half day/ full day adventures, thinking of doing them on " Aventon Ramblas " e bikes. They are beefy and seem user friendly. I don't think anyone is doing it up on the Peninsula here year round. I could be wrong. Subscribed and looking forward to watching your vids...thanks... I am riding the ODT this morning, it is really lovely up here.

      I'm jealous -- I'd like to be on the ODT this morning too!! But instead I get to look out at a foot of snow and wait for the thaw. Thanks for asking, but I don't think I'm enough of an expert on setting up bike businesses to provide you with anything useful. But it sounds like it could be fun. I think the hardest part of any business today is getting the word out that your business exists. We appreciate your support and subscription. Have fun on the trails!

    This is one of the most informative videos about the GAP that my wife and I have watched. We are planning to ride the GAP in the near future. Thank you so much for the work you put into this video.

    Be aware that CDOT closes this path OFTEN seemingly without notice and does not have the decency to show its status on their website. Calling a local bike shop is your best bet.

    Have you guys had any issues with ebiking and not being allowed on trails? We are from NC and considering purchasing ebik÷s but am not sure how many restrictions are out there where you can or cannot go with them.

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes Месяц назад

      We have never had any issues with ebiking on any trail. Haven't seen any type of law enforcement on any trail. The restrictions can be confusing state by state and they appear to be changing regularly. The one thing that seems to be common in many states is that you can't ride an ebike on the sidewalk. The "safest" rule to stick by is to get a Class 1 ebike as they are more universally allowed on trails. Also, it's not the bike but the rider that poses danger to others -- we ride an appropriate speed and take great care when passing other riders (let them know we are there) and around pedestrians. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    I hear this trail is even more spectacular in the fall. I hope you both are able to return in October some year. This trail should also be voted into the Rail Trail Hall of Fame someday soon.

    This is my bread & butter trail. Every so often when humidity is high, the interior of the tunnels can become completely enshrouded in thick fog. All you see is thick mist and about 3 reflectors ahead. And that is for the entire length of the tunnel - either direction.

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes Месяц назад

      Sounds like that would be creepy, and fun to ride though the tunnel in a fog!! Hopefully we can get back on this trail again. Thanks for watching.

    If the Blue Ridge Tunnel is the 3rd-longest rail-trail tunnel in the USA, what are the first and second longest tunnels?

      Glad you asked 😀! #2 - The St. Paul Pass Tunnel on the Route of the Hiawatha is 8,771' long. #1 - The Snoqualmie Pass tunnel on the Palouse to Cascades State Trail is 11,894'. Thanks for watching. Happy Holidays!!

      I'm with you -- it is kind of spooky walking through them but feels awesome when you are on your bike! Guess I think I can outrun the 👻. What's really interesting is watching the camera footage after the ride -- I didn't see any of the things the camera picked up! Especially with my new DJI Osmo Pocket 3 -- it's great in dark places. Just can't mount it to your handlebars as it can't handle the bumps. Thanks for watching.
