Looks amazing and very nice the island is designed with cyclists in mind, especially allowing a ride on the packed sand beach must be such a cool experience and get the cooler ocean breeze. SC is way too hot for my liking all year round :)
It is definitely easy to get around the island on a bike, which helps since there were a lot of cars on the roads when we were there. The beach was a lot of fun. And, yes, I'd prefer the shores of Lake Ontario in the summer where it is a little cooler. Thanks for watching.

No. We rode on the hard packed part of the sand. It was just like riding on pavement, or a rail trail. The wind was probably the thing that made it take a little extra energy. Thanks for watching!!!
Having lived in the area for over 10 years. Ride on the sides in the direction of traffic. Roads like 278 business have a lot of traffic. Cars pulling out are looking toward the traffic and often have very limited chances to pull out. The bike lanes generally have stop signs that are ignored by bike riders and are hard to monitor by vehicles pulling out with bike riders heading the other way. If you are riding in the direction of the flow of traffic, auto drivers have a much better opportunity to see you and vehicle traffic. Otherwise, stop at the signs and make sure it is safe to proceed.
That really looks like a nice place to take E bikes too bad about only class 1 and 2 I have a class 3 . I don't think there is any inforcement per se, have you seen it?
My feeling about ebike classes are: (1) how will anyone passing by know what class you are riding? Maybe if you aren't peddling for a long time? (2) we've never seen any enforcement on trails. As long as you are riding respectfully I wouldn't worry about what class your bike is. Thanks for watching.
Our bikes are Gazelle Ultimate C8’s - a class 1 ebike. Our goal when purchasing our latest bikes were (1) get more mileage out of the battery, (2) sit straighter and more comfortably. We are very happy with these bikes as they can go up to 90 miles on a single charge in ECO (we’ve never gone more than 65 miles, but never had a worry about the battery), they sit straighter and the handlebars are adjustable. Also, the bike has a Nexus 8 system -- eight gears are built into the rear hub of the wheel. They are protected against the wind and weather, and this reduces wear and maintenance. Combine this with a belt instead of a chain and your bike maintenance is kept to a minimum. You can also shift from a complete stop, which is really handy if you’re crossing a road and forgot to downshift before-hand. It has hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear fenders, a fully functional back rack and front shocks.
