Yeah pharmacy's are the best. I found 4 bottles of La Nuit Frozen Cologne in the same one and 2 more in the same franchise in another nearby town. Might friend found a 4-digit La Nuit and I found some late 2011-2014s. Pharmacies are the best
The sephora at my local mall drastically reduced their mens cologne section, it use to take up half the side wall, now it's the size of the one you just showed.
I guess I consider myself lucky. I’m a stones throw from Sak’s, Neiman, Macy’s, many Sephora and Ulta as well. Basically every brand has a counter around these parts making sampling relatively easy. Thanks for sharing
The fragrance selection on display is way way way much better compared to the huge department stores display here in Phillipines. Thanks for coming back to RUclips.
I live in a sleepy little mountain town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. My fragrance shopping is either Walmart or Safeway, which means Cool Water or Drakkar Noir are the best available, usually. Colorado Springs has Ulta, Sephora, and all the department stores and discounters, such as TJ Maxx or Ross, and it's only a two hour drive through the canyon. Denver, which has some niche options, is a three hour drive.
I live in a town with less than 1,500 people and the closest mall is about 100 miles away. The closest wallmart is 30 miles away, all we have is a grocery store that sells body spray
@@Johnnyboybravo "Ashton" as in his name. Like, "Thanks for showing us around Neon Light." I agree that a comma would've helped. I think Ash lives somewhere in the south.
Ok here's the deal. I live and grew up in a large metropolis area, the SF/ Silicon Valley bay area. I guess I take this for granted. Even our Sephora has a full selection of Tom Ford. You can even buy the decanters there. If you ever come to San Francisco Ashton I'm inviting you to do some major damage shopping here.
I live in Phoenix and went into my local Ulta yesterday. It was the exact same display as yours right down to the order of the fragrances within each section. I was dying watching you walk through that store knowing what was coming next! Haha
I'm soooo glad you made this video. I live eight miles from a small college town in PA. We have barely a mall, Sephora in JCP and one TJ Maxx if not driving 90 min to Pittsburgh. Glad you are showing people the scented Styx as it were...at least YOU have a Macys!! 👏 😎✌
Hi Ashley, I always thought you were Canadian for some reasons. Forgive me. Well, we do have Sephora here in Singapore, some discounters which most people shy away from for reasons unknown. They are not fragheads btw. And also a place call 'Mustafa' which is popular among tourist and local alike. We do wait for about 6 months before the new arrivals hit our shores. A small island nation like Singapore, it is easy to find well known brands. The only thing missing here is those relatively unknown indie and niche brands. I appreciate that you shot this type of videos and let people outside USA, who have not been there to see that it is not all rosy. Thanks and looking forward to more of such content.
În romania you only have one frag shop in a city and you usually get like three time less fragrance, and then you have your typical little cosmetics shop where you can usually find some ok cheapies like some UDV and La Rive, but mostly that's all
Wondered where you were from because your accent was so similar to mine and now it makes prefect sense. I grew up about an hour away from there on the VA side. Definitely hard to find fragrances in small town USA. Thank goodness for the internet.
You know you live in small town USA when you go to the big city to get some free decants at Sephora. For me, local shopping would be Wal-Mart, CVS, and WalGreens. But I discourage anyone from buying fragrances at a store when online discounters sell them so much cheaper.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the tag along. I literally live at a complete ghost town with absolutely no stores at all except a Goody's. Their selection is bare to none. I have to drive almost an hour and a half to a "decent" TJ Maxx. Luckily, I went there this Monday and they had all heavy hitters imho.
In the Mecca of Columbus GA we have several options but mostly the same stuff that's in your neck of the woods. Ulta, Sephora, Dillards, Ross, Marshalls, 2 TJ Maxx locations and so on. We also have a couple of mall fragrance stores that I am not sure are 100% legit lol. I went in the fragrance only store asking about Amouage fragrances and the guy said that all of them were for women. I haven't been back since.
I can validate this response. Joey! What's up man...haha. Cant believe I saw you on this channel man. I'm into the fragrance game. Let's do some golf soon. It's been a while.
I visited Canada last month, from the uk. Spent sometime checking out the fragrances, I noticed the lack of fragrances, even in the shops. The uk seems to have dedicated shops for fragrances etc
I live in the Chicago suburbs and it's mostly the same. There are more malls in the area but the outlets all have the same stuff. I enjoy going to Ross, TJ Maxx, Burlington, etc. more but even with those stores I start seeing themes fairly quickly. Most of my purchases are online blind buys.
It’s the same actually,, I live here in Washington DC and the rack stores are 80 to 90% like the ones You got out there the only time I notice you can find Creed fragrances or some top Notch colognes like that around Christmas time that’s about it everything else Is mediocre Nautica Beverly Hills polo club etc. But if you’re dedicated you will find some heavy hitters for super cheap Great Video 🤙
Flying out to DC for a week here in a couple days, Anything nice to check out? I noticed there was a Le Labo up on capitol hill. And a perfume store over in Oxon Hill.
Senjosu! Definitely pentagon city mall in that area they go to marshals and T.J. Maxx that always Has great fines and if you go in the mall they have a Zara All in the same area definitely check that out!
I live in New Orleans. Theirs a few malls (Dillards, JC Penny) and theirs a Saks in the city. About 4 Sephoras scattered around. Not LA or New York, but not too bad.
I live in Baton Rouge, one store in gonzales tanger mall fragrance outlet they have a lot of fragrance. they have couple of ulta, Macy’s one Sephoras at the mall. A few around in Baton Rouge.
Great vid! Grew up south of Knoxville and i only had freaking Belk back in the day to buy my stuff at. So thankful to be in Tampa now with a Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus around the corner among other places
Cool video. Seems like those stores have the same stuff as our OC california stores do. That's why I drive a little further to bloomingdales or nordstroms for my niche.
It's about the same here, with Ulta, a JCPENNEY based Sephora and Macy's in the mall, and TJMAXX and Ross around them. No niche, but TJMAXX surprises me every now and then. Still the majority of my fragrance shopping is done online.
Lol, I hear ya man! At least your Sephora has 3 rows! They keep on asking me if I've tried the "new Savage cologne ".. Your Belk seems a little like our Kohl's. Thanks for letting us know that we're not alone :/
Pharmacies in Australia get their fragrances on the Grey Market. A couple of national chains dominate. Prices much lower for most fragrances versus your standard national superstores. Variety usually broader in pharmacies. Only one specialty fragrance store in my state of around 500,000. Slightly better selection vs pharmacies but only recently stocked niche, which was a small selection of Creed. However go to Myer in Melbourne and freak out!
I don't know why Nautica Blue gets such a bad rap, I actually like it. You want bug spray, how about moving Calvin Klein Obsession there, that stuff is gagging.
Nautica voyage puts all these overrated & expensive designer and niche fragrances to shame heavenly smell, mad Performance only for 8 bucks quit hating and learn something......
In my town we have a Walmart and a Walgreens that sell fragrances for insane prices (50ml bottles for 100ml retail prices). Then we have a Bealls that sells a handful of fragrances for decent prices. So I think we have different ideas of what a small town is (Nautica, Adidas, and Beverly Hills Polo Club). lol
In JC, MO we have at least 3 to 4 of the stores you visited. The biggest one is Dillards and Ulta, I depend heavily upon you and a few other reviewers to keep me updated. 98% of the time I shop online.
Live in the capital of a tiny European country and, contrary to what one would expect, we actually get a decent selection here. All the major designers (just about) and even some niche brands like Amouage, Mancera, Etat Libre d'orange etc. Also have some dedicated perfumeries, not just as part of malls.
The Sephoria didn't have a Maison Martin Margiela/ Replica section? The JCP/Sephoria stores do here but they are in the ladies section. Your Ross/T.J Maxx was about the same as in the Tampa area, we also have Marshall's that are about the same as Ross/ T.j. Maxx
Wow, wish i could find some Issey for $15! I hit all the discounters in Louisville, Ky. that i can fairly often. I found a Ch Men Prive set at tjmaxx the other day marked down to $44. Didnt get it but probably should have. Cool vid. Take care.
I feel you. My city only has Ross, TJ Maxx, Belk, and Sephora(one inside JC Penney's like yours). Seem slike they are almost identical to what you have lol
i usually don't comment on your videos (there's no need to, bcs they are exactly right done-imo), but this one is really great idea to do, so: svaka čast, buraz! do them more often plss, once a 1/2 year would be ideal.... cheers
We have Belk, TJ Maxx and WalMart. LOL. Our Belk is bush league compared to yours and what Walmart has that overlaps TJ Maxx is MORE expensive at Walmart. I was impressed by your TJ Maxx. I've never seen a Bvlgari Blu in ours. Right now the selection is extremely limited. I think shipments are slowly returning as the shelves are not as empty as they have been. Unfortunately, this has killed the clearance market for now. Looking forward to that getting back up to strength. My JPG Ultra Male and 1 Million Prive were TJ Maxx clearance finds among some of my other favorites. I need to look into the Pecksniffs. They always have them and I have sort of grown to think of them as some TJ Maxx proprietary generic with a name. Also always there are the Nauticas. Tried one once and hated it so I never picked up another flavor. And I grabbed a few of the English Laundry scents once and really was not impressed. Yesterday, after watching one of your videos about Aventus clones, I decided to go grab another bottle of London. They had two so I out both in my cart and sprayed a shot on the back of my hand to smell it and let it dry down while I sifted through the normal TK Maxx cologne jumble. Still not loving English Laundry. Actually came VERY close to buying Guess Seduction Noir. I have a very sophisticated fragrance rating system and I would rate it as :Smell gud. LOL.
i feel ya..about the same here, and im not too far from your area. At least your stores had the names listed on the display racks. Did you try the Tommy Maritime Deep Blue? I really liked it. Nice representation of the beach/ocean.
I'm in Boston, and Neiman Marcus and Barney's take care of some of the more well-known niche brands (Creed, MFK, etc.). Saks has Le Labo, Ex Nihilo, Bond No. 9, and Kilian. Since Newbury Street is a shopping destination, there's a lot to be had around here. But I still have dreams of opening up a niche shop that stocks stuff like Imaginary Authors, Profumum Roma, and stuff like that. Someday, when making money is no object...
Where do you live man? I am from a small city of two hundred thousand inhabitants in Romania, but here are many more perfume shops, with a larger selection to choose from.
In Concord NC it is very similar to your shopping experience... I have to drive to South Charlotte (40 miles away) thats where they have higher end stores ... Nieman Marcus, Nordstroms and stores like that.
Man.!! I should consider myself lucky to live where I live. There are many stores near me (Nordstrom, Macy’s, Sephora, Ulta, Neiman Marcus and Saks being about 40 minute drive) that I can go to and sniff many fragrances. Oh, I have a TJ Max too, but can never find any deals. Nice video Ash.
In Denmark its really weird they have the niche stuff but not spicebomb or jpg like i can litteraly go test roja, nishane, amouage, pdm or le labo but no jpg or spicebomb
I live in Lynchburg, Va and It very limited on the men's cologne selection. I have to order online or drive 2 hours away to an outlet to get some top notch fragances.
Great video. Fortunately I do not feel your pain living in Orlando we have about 1520 discount stores and a 25 mile radius. Into the 45 mile radius and you couldn’t visit them all in a day. Plus we have a mall called the mall of millennia with Nordstrom‘s, Bloomingdale’s, and all of that great stuff. As well as the Florida Mall. And then three hours away we have a creed boutique in Miami. So all in all not too badBut I still find myself ordering online more than I do shopping at the stores.
I need to travel up north for me to find a decent selection of anything.. I don’t have much at my macy’s and ulta is worse.. no Sephora where I’m at either…
Cool video man, nice change. I'm in a small city in France (from London UK) and there are five fragrance stores, none with a great selection alas. One of the chain-stores stocks Le Couvent des Minimes though, which is a nice change and another one always has limited edition Azzaro stuff. The Sephora has a pretty big selection for the ladies and they stock Serge Lutens but always seem slow with new releases (still don't have ADG Absolu Instinct for example) they've also never heard of John Varvatos lol.
That Sephora fragrance section is an exact replica of the one we have here in Delhi, India except here you have Tom Ford and some of the higher end Zegna frags also.
No Macy's at the mall thats crazy i didnt know that was even possible. Im lucky to live close to downtown L.A. & Beverly Hills kus there tons of selection - its actually a double edge sword , just dont steer of to the shirts & belts sections kus then youre looking at a bunch of stuff you cant buy
I know in michigan I cant find any place that sell neiche fragerances so I got to buy samples and order them sometime I just want to go to the store and smell them
The second store had a decent selection of designer brands. If I lived there I would shop at that store. I'm fortunate enough to live in New York City- you can get virtually any brand, in addition there are quite a few niche fragrance boutiques like By Kilian, Parfums de Marly , Bond No 9, Frederic Malle and many, many others.
Honestly for me it's just a Marshall's in town. It's pretty much a mix between the Ross and TJ Maxx as far as selection. I have to drive at least an hour to get to a department store and another hour and a half before I run into a person who has ever heard the word Mancera before haha
A zillion times better than any city or town in Alaska. No TJ Maxx ot Ross or those places. Only dept store left in Anchorage is J.C. Penney which is bankrupt. I order twice a week on line from Fragrance Net or Fragrance X because no one else ships to Alaska, so you have to keep looking on line and get stuff as it restocks.
Your TJMaxx has better stock than the 2 local ones for me. I did pick up BR Neroli Woods ($20) and Commodity Vetiver ($32) at my local Marshalls. Neroli Woods was a great cheapy. That Commodity is interesting with a blackberry note on top of Vetiver and Jasmine bomb.
We have nothing where I live ,the closest mall where there is a decent department store is 90 minutes away, and there are no online decant shops so sampling fragrances is very hard.
My town had a Belles for like 4-5 years but went out of business here never went there but lots of people went there since my town only has HEB Whataburger Burger King McDonald’s Sonics Little Caesars Church’s n that’s it we were gonna build a big mall but the town said no n so I still have to go to San Antonio to get my cologne or I’ll drive to La Rodeo n get 5 boxes of testers for $2
I think its weird that you guys dont have perfumeries in the States like we have here in Europe. I live in a town of approx 30k people and I can get Dyptique, Aqua di Parma etc (of course for insanly marked up prices)
In Germany its basically :
- Going to a Shop or Mall
- Sniff a few things before someone jumps at you to sell you something overpriced
- Run out
- And order online hoping the drydown can live up to the opening
Greetings from Germany
It’s the same in America. Can’t smell without being attacked by a sales rep
I feel you bro. 🤜🤛
Same here in Malaysia.
Hey atleast you guys get free samples...
We don't have that privilege here, you can just test them at stores.
Agree with you Ghostface315! I even have my idealo app ready to compare prices on the spot or check Parfümdreams to use their every day 20% coupon
Noo... not in Bremen... Never experienced that... But maybe it's because they know that I have a reviewing channel so, they are afraid to recommend me stuff. LOL!

Nice what was the pharmacy
Buy one get one free? I'm crying right now TT____TT
painfull, I was last year 2 weeks in Ireland but 1 month after my travelling in Ireland I started to get into fragnances, didnt missed much I guess.
@ 😂 that and got two bottles of Bond no 9 andy warhol face edition in another closing down sale. The two best funds I've ever got 🙏

So much better then where I am on the outskirts of Bangkok.
Our local mall has only 1 men's perfume (Mercedes Benz) in the entire building. :-(
Our Life Thai and it’s probably a knock off 😂
the lacoste red is a banger! 11:24
Yeah it is.
Thanks for the shopping trip! I feel like I actually went out for a while! :)
I think your idea of a small town is different than mine. I live near Boone, NC and when I saw your selection, I was like “nice!”.
I live in Lynchburg, Va and It very limited on the men's cologne selection. I have to order online or drive 2 hours away to an outlet to get some top notch fragances.
I see that Bvlgari aqua Atlantic gift set 100 mill with a 15 mill for $44.00 I need to get a backup bottle.
Same here bro 😂in Macedonia
Im from Skopje-capital-but it’s 1/2 M people-not too big for us city standards
Great video. Fortunately I do not feel your pain living in Orlando we have about 1520 discount stores and a 25 mile radius. Into the 45 mile radius and you couldn’t visit them all in a day. Plus we have a mall called the mall of millennia with Nordstrom‘s, Bloomingdale’s, and all of that great stuff. As well as the Florida Mall. And then three hours away we have a creed boutique in Miami. So all in all not too badBut I still find myself ordering online more than I do shopping at the stores.
Smelled that polo gold blue last week. Really liked it
I need to travel up north for me to find a decent selection of anything..
Thank You for field trip brother.. Great job
Welcome to the vlog world , Ash.
They actually have more than I expected... I was thinking it would be a drugstore kind of availability... or Dollar Tree selection....
Really enjoyed this vid! Trinidad its ok but the prices they charge are expensive! Yep again!
That Sephora fragrance section is an exact replica of the one we have here in Delhi, India except here you have Tom Ford and some of the higher end Zegna frags also.
We got nice selection in Cleveland , we even have one that sells Indie and lots of high end Niche , also we have Nordstroom and Saks fifth avenue
Dude I feel your pain I only have Sephora And Ulta an TJ Max has absolutely nothing in a small town in Michigan
It’s not even close to bad, for anything like that I have to travel over 100 miles. Closest wallmart is 30
Great video and I enjoyed it and thanks for showing me around and have a blessed day
No Macy's at the mall thats crazy i didnt know that was even possible. Im lucky to live close to downtown L.A. & Beverly Hills kus there tons of selection - its actually a double edge sword , just dont steer of to the shirts & belts sections kus then youre looking at a bunch of stuff you cant buy
Ha... if anyone is buying Versace or Gucci in my town, it's over a fragrance counter! 😀
Man, my local mall doesn't even have a sephora. Only store in my town is a TJ Maxx.
For a small US town, they have more variety than the city I live in.
What part of Tennessee are you from, I'm originally from Memphis so it was better than that. But I live in Dallas now so it's much better
I know in michigan I cant find any place that sell neiche fragerances so I got to buy samples and order them sometime I just want to go to the store and smell them
david sugar Somerset mall
@@judthestudo2 thank you sir
I’m in Roanoke, VA. Seems pretty similar to your selection (a bad Ulta and a JCP Sephora), and Belk but we do have a Macy’s.
a little off topic, isn't that the town where the reporters were shot while doing a live interview a few years ago?
@@dumpsterfire138 That's where the station is- WDBJ7. They were killed at Bridgewater Marina at Smith Mountain Lake, about 30-45 minutes from Roanoke.
Very awesome video I think more people like you should do video like these 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Honestly for me it's just a Marshall's in town.
My town had a Belles for like 4-5 years but went out of business here never went there but lots of people went there since my town only has HEB Whataburger Burger King McDonald’s Sonics Little Caesars Church’s n that’s it we were gonna build a big mall but the town said no n so I still have to go to San Antonio to get my cologne or I’ll drive to La Rodeo n get 5 boxes of testers for $2
Thank you, Salt Lake City a little better, but thanks to you, FragranceNet and fragrancex is where I buy, thank you 😊
I think its weird that you guys dont have perfumeries in the States like we have here in Europe. I live in a town of approx 30k people and I can get Dyptique, Aqua di Parma etc (of course for insanly marked up prices)
We do have perfumeries... in Beverly Hills, Manhattan, Miami, etc. 😀
