This was the last video he did and the very last song he recorded was MOTHER LOVE, Freddie felt ill, told Brian he'd be back to finish it, but he passed away before completing it, Brian finished the last verse.

Beautiful song, written by Roger about his children though it ended up taking on a different meaning when Freddie sang it. Freddie loved his cats and at the time of his death he had 7. The fabric of his vest in this video was custom made for him and the cats on his vest are images of his own cats. Appropriate that he should wear it for his last video. I have read that Freddie's last physical movement was stroking one of his cats who was by his side in his bed. To me this means he had a peaceful transition. This song is so bittersweet, thank you for your reaction.

Just to add a bit; Per Peter Freestone, Freddie’s vest was a 1990 Christmas present from Donald McKenzie (partner of Freddie’s personal, chef Joe Fanelli), who had a friend hand-paint Freddie’s cats onto the silk vest.

@@wnsafford1854 Thank you so much for the additional information. Peter is such a wealth of knowledge about Freddie, I truly appreciate him. Often times he knows things that Brian or Roger either don't know or don't feel it would be their place to mention so Peter rounds out a lot of things about Freddie's life. The vest is gorgeous, Kudos to the painter.

Beautiful! This just showed, not only what a superb performer he was, but a loving person he was as well. I love how Freddie just wore his heart on his sleeves and (in this case) his waistcoat. The last whisper of "I still love you" to his family, friends, and fans is still an emotional bullseye! Though Freddie never had children of his own, he loved cats and was a truly devoted cat daddy. The pictures on his vest are several portraits of his beloved fur babies. Brian, John, and Roger (who is playing conga drums) are doing all they can to keep a stiff upper lip. I still can't imagine how much it must have ate at them inside to watch their friend and brother waste away. Even now their spiritual bond with Freddie is so strong not even death could break it. God bless Queen! You still have so much more Queen to check out.

Wow, was way too soon for this one 😭
Roger wrote this about his children getting older, but it took on a new meaning in light of Freddie’s illness. He could barely move during the making of this video.

This is the complete Queen (all 4 members) last VIDEO, not their last song. Freddie insisted ondoing this video. He wore many layers of clothes to try and be warm, and xould barely walk. He wanted to be able to say goodbye to his fans. Also, he didn’t want his last video to be him dressed as a “clown”, which was I’M GOING SLIGHTLY MAD. Sidenote; Brian was in Los Angeles when they shot this video. His part was filmed on his return, and the Director (Rudi Dolezal) did a wonderful job editing.

this interpretation is Freddie Mercury's perfect "farewell song" to his audience, his life and an announcement to death." You'll get me in the foreseeable future but until then I'll enjoy my life and if it's the "Wintertale" view out the window is. I've had/lived my life. I've got everything money can buy and, more valuablely, at the end of my life I've got everything money can't buy."
What he couldn't know, he got a lot more from the latter. He got the love of many people to this day and probably into "eternity".

This was Freddie's final goodbye to the fans. At this point in time he did not have that much longer to live and he knew that. He had been through so much already and had even had half of on foot amputated. It took so much bravery on his part to get in front of the camera's and film this. But it is that bravery that we really appreciate. Too the very end he was Freddie. No false fronts or pretentious acts. He was the Freddie we all fell in love with and we will always love for being the wonderful human being he was.

Because of his treatment for the HIV he had, he couldn’t grow facial hair which is why he didn’t have his trademark mustache or the beard he’d grown in the tail end of the 80’s. This was Freddie’s emotional goodbye to all of us Queen fans and here we are 31 years later still getting choked up and sad over it. We still love you, Freddie! Great reactions as usual bro!

The silk waistcoat that Freddie is wearing was handmade by a friend which includes all of his cats! (He loved cats) 🥹 Freddie was given the waistcoat at Xmas 1990 …. Freddie died November 24, 1991. 🥺😢😩 “I still love you”

Why listen to this song now... there are still happy songs where Freddie is still vibrant to react to first...this video was done a few months before he die...he could hardly walk ...half of one foot was gone...therefore he's not moving but is still moving his arms energetically...He didn't want peopple to see how he looked and that's why the Innuendo video was mostlty animated. He later changed his mind because he wanted to say goodby to his fans whom he loved so much. React to NOW I'M HERE, live at Wembley to remember his out of this world energy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freddie could barely walk here. He lost part of a foot and hobbled a bit when walking. This kills me everytime. He passed away only months after this video. It was taken in black and white to try and mask Freddie’s condition. But you can see he was very frail. What a great performance he gives regardless- I miss him.

Mother Love was the last song Freddie recorded. He told Brian to just write lyrics for him to sing so he could get as much recorded with the time he had left. Brian would write the lyrics down on paper and Freddie would sing them three times. He just kept telling Brian to write because he knew he wouldn’t be there to finish putting it all together. Freddie told them to do what they wanted as long as they didn’t make him boring. Freddie tried to make it in to the studio when he could. One day he was tired, and there was only one verse left. He told Brian he’d come back to the studio to finish the song, but he never did. Brian had to sing the final verse. The final album with Freddie’s voice was Made In Heaven. Roger said that it was weird being in the studio with just his voice on the recordings. I learned all this directly from Roger and Brian watching multiple documentaries.

Very beautiful song written by Roger Taylor. Even here, Freddie is still so sassy (in a good way), making little grins at the camera, etc. & the "I still love you" at the very close of the song. Such an untimely passing.

Written by and about Roger Taylor and his life and children, which had new meaning so then it became something that applied to Freddie, and Freddie didn't actually stop recoding until at least July 91 and he passed away in the November of that year ago 45
