- Sensei Mike Reeves, 8th Degree Black Belt Karate Champion, offers you step-by-step instructions on Isshinryu Kata #2 SEIUNCHIN. Isshin-Ryū is a style of Okinawan karate founded by Tatsuo Shimabuku in 1956. Isshin-Ryū karate is largely a synthesis of Shorin-ryū karate, Gojū-ryū karate, and kobudō. The name means, literally, "one heart method".

This kata is taken from Goju Ryu. Watch how they do it then explain how any of this version makes any sense.
I think the founder of this style learned from a book, and not a very good one.
