Dude that soft voice lol late at night when the kids are asleep I 100% understand have 3 tanks in my sons room thank the lord he sleeps like a rock. I’m researching rainbows. Your my first stop brother
@@cathyhendrix7552 thank you 😊 I've probably had more failures than successes but I'm very persistent and I love learning. There's still so much I want to learn and do. I appreciate the kind words 😊
Thank you 😊 ok, I appreciate that tip! I got it because I wanted something that would grow quickly in my new tank. So far it hasn't done much but it's still relatively new. I've seen other people refer to it as coral herpes lol
Amazing fish room tour ! Amazing thanks I pulled some celestial Pearl Danios got eggs this time last 2 time failed I tried leaving a container on for a week then pulled and almost noting all trash then I put the thing container in and pulled the next day failed so I decided to change containers so now I pulled today I got a few eggs exited because I finally got eggs ima hatch !😊
Awesome!! Let me know if they hatch! Yeah I don't leave a container in for more than 12 hours generally because I find the eggs will fungus up pretty quickly and once a few start to fungus you can lose the whole group! Thanks for the kind words
Aw thanks, I need motivation as well so I know what you mean! Some days I love working in the fish room and other days I'm forcing myself to get stuff done
How many angelfish should i keep in a 36 Gal aquarium? I have 3 koi swordtails, and 5 pepper corys. Wanting to get a few more pepper corys, a bristlenose or two, maybe a group of schooling fish and possibly a bolivian ram as well. Weekly water changes would be ideal but im ok with more.
Hey Jacob! With that amount of fish in there, I think two to three full grown angelfish would be good! I wouldn't do too much more than that. And with that amount of fish I would definitely do weekly water changes! They will. Thank you for it!
Geez! All the tanks are looking full!! You are doing something right my friend! I know you are a big fan of the CPD's and they are really cool looking fish but man I never see them! Lol they are soooo skittish!! My wife is like why do we have them? Lol 🤷🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣
@@shackleDev ahh gotcha, yeah I bought 8 figuring that would be fine since I always heard at least 6 so that's most likely my problem. Now I do have 4 guppies in there with them figuring it might make them feel a little more comfortable but it did make any difference. Let me ask you this, you do not think the guppies would make them any more skittish? They seem to act the same way with or without them in there. I guess my solution will be to get a few more. Hey thanks for the info, it's much appreciated!
Thanks Dave! I've been getting lucky breeding some of these fish! Haha yeah those little guys are so skittish! I totally know what your wife means. I guess it's extra special when you finally see one haha
@@sydneysangels lol we do get to see them unfortunately it's from 8 feet away! 🤣 🤷🏻♂️I wanted to ask you, do you ever sell them, I know you breed them but I have never seen them offered or even listed on your site? Thanks Dan!
@@dfal6898Yes I sell both the CPD and emerald rasbora! They should be on my site, unless there's a glitch or something! I'll look into that if that's the case!
Great tour! I absolutely love that salt water tank! I regret never trying one while I was in Australia! It would have been a hell of a lot easier to get started than here in Europe 😂 When I get some extra space someday I'm going to rig up a fry system similar to yours. It seems to work wonders.
Thank you 😊 yeah I was over the moon when my buddy sent me a text asking if I wanted that tank. I don't think the equipment is even that old, because it all works really well. I'm very lucky! I'm sure you'll set up a saltwater tank someday. I have no idea what I'm doing but I guess that's part of the experience haha. You should build a fry system! It's definitely nice for getting food right in front of super tiny fry during the first few days of their lives. I hatch almost all of my eggs in it as well
Oh man, im a bit late to comment on this but I always love your fish room tours! your collection and mindset towards breeding is something I really love!
The Fritz and KGTropicals salt tank vids came out this weekend. All about bring salt and freshwater together as a community. Great luck on your salt adventure!!!!
The most common routine I've seen so far is 10% weekly which comes out to roughly 10 gallons a week for me. I was intimidated with the concept of making saltwater but after doing it for a couple months now I can confidently say that it's pretty easy
Your fish room looks great. And your tanks look really good as well. I really like the way you scape your tanks. I love plant heavy tanks. No worries about the way they looked. We've all been caught with our pants down before. But at least you manned up and accepted it.
Thanks Cathy for all those kind words! Yeah I love the wild style natural aquascapes so most of the time I'll just let my tank grow wild. I know the fish probably love it! Thanks!
You mentioned you have a store or shop but you have no link to it. how do people see what you have ? I'd be interested in some fish depending on where your at.
All your Breeding Groups are looking great. May need to pick up a few more PB Angelfish from you. The others are growing out in my 90 Gallon Tank. They are looking Amazing 👍🏼
Thank you, I appreciate that! I'm glad to hear your angels are doing well! I'm really happy with this breeding pair I was able to pick up. They've created some really beautiful babies
Why did it say brine on your white clouds? Is that what they're eating or? Curious since white clouds are one of a few smaller community fish I've never kept. As soon as I finish setting up/cycling my aquarium I'm gonna be ordering a trio or two from you. Probably the galaxy guppies since they're so gorgeous. They're gonna be my kid's breeding project for biology. 😂 Also any chance when I order I could convince you to throw a little bit of the what looked like duckweed on the top of the celestial pearl danios? I've been trying to find some to be able to buy without reviews saying that their tank got infested with scuds from it. 😅 I'd pay premium extra.
Yes that's just a little note for Jordan letting her know they are still eating baby brine shrimp. I feed them that while they're small and then transition them to flake food and nano pellets. But they'll eat pretty much everything! Those guppies are beautiful, I don't think you'll be disappointed ☺️ oh of course! You don't have to pay for duckweed I'll throw that in for free! That tank is very clean so I think it would be a good source for you. Just remind me so I don't forget to throw it in!

Remarkable fish room and breeding success for 3 years in the hobby!
Thank you! I still classify myself as a noob because I haven't been doing this for too long. I really love it! ☺️
@@sydneysangels And yet your successful. That is awesome. Some people try breeding for a number of years before they get it right. Congratulations.

Beware of the Xenia. It's a WEED. One day you have a little patch of it and a short time later you notice it all over your tank!

What temp do you keep your CPDs at? Looking at getting some but would like to avoid getting a heater if I could.
Oh they definitely don't need a heater! They like it cold. They're breeding like crazy in 68 degree water for me. Hope that helps!

How cool I'll have to check those out! I didn't even know that was a thing! Thanks 😊
What substrate did you use in the small tanks?
Stoney River sand! I also use carib sea eco-complete, which is like a crushed lava rock which is a great substrate
Do saltwater tanks need the 50% water changes every week just like freshwater tanks?
