You've mentioned before that befriending a celebrity is a grind so here's a trick I found: hang out at the bar in Strangerville and when a celebrity shows up use the "ask about Strangerville" interaction. It will open up the regular conversation menus and you can befriend or romance them like any other sim :)
You can also start a new club and add the celebs immediately, that adds all the regular interactions as well. But Get Famous introduces so many new issues that I regard it as one of the worst expansions of Sims 4, so maybe an even better solution would be not to bother with it at all.
LOVED those stumbles at the end there! Very very cute! I wouldn't mind if you left more like that in and it'd save you time in editing as well as make you sound a bit more human - we all sound a little robotic when constantly perfect as you usually are. Thanks for the continual improvement
Oh, oh, with only the basegame installed, social networking does do something special!! Back in the day before Get Famous I used to play it out for obscene amounts of money combined with the videogame skill: I believe it's on level 7 of videogame that you can host let's play sessions, so, with a big enough follow on social networking (one viral video or two) I would make around 1.5 to 2k an HOUR just for playing videogames (and getting more followers at the end of the session, what guaranteed that the next session made even more money. It made so much money you could only compare to photography on TS3! Now Get Famous nerfed it hard, so hosting videogame sessions is only profitable if you're in the proper career.
This is awesome I need to check it out again. Having gf may have obscured it. I had no idea followers had any correlation to earnings with game streams. I wasn't able to find that in code but it doesn't mean it wasn't there in the past!
Btw, you forgot to mention the Great Kisser reward trait as another (faster) way of building charisma just by kissing other sims. It's certainly my favorite way of maxing this skill.
When I play GET FAMOUS ,I first get my sim to complete the Friend of the World aspiration. I make the sim gain fame by painting and playing an instrument in public or write books . So while they become famous they have their friends and charisma and a good amount of simoleans. If I make an actor ,I find that having Friend of the World asp. makes it easier to gain fame. Sometimes I have them read a charisma book to give them a kick-start. I love your channel .
I was struggling on making a lot of friends for my sims cuz i want him to be loved. And i get an add for relationship advice and how to stop porn from ruining my love life.
Charisma is really OP in sims 4 (3 too). I dont recall it becing nearly as powerful in Sims 2, although I didnt play it much. High enough and your sim can bed anyone in one day, even an argumentative, hot headed, unflirty sim with commitment issues
Charisma is so overpowered. Combine it with the Incredibly Friendly reward trait and one Enchanting Introduction gets an instand friendship. You can ask for two loans, then join their household, split from household and take money. Rins and repeat with other families. I'm doing thid in the Making Money scenario.
If you have get together, and make a group, sometimes celebrities show upon the choose Sim, and then you can make friends with them, I have done this a few times 😁
I noticed an option in the mirror called Practice Storytelling. What difference is there between this and Practice Speech? Does this make telling jokes more successful or something else? Can't find any answers online. :(
Been trying to browse your website, but a certain advertisement keeps redirecting me to a page trying to get me to fall for some scammy stuff. Clicking the back button doesn’t help - it will redirect again. See, THIS is why people use AdBlock! Edit: This happens while trying to browse the Toddler Guide on an iOS device (in my case, an iPhone 8)
Yeah, that stinks! This is on mobile I take it? I've just tried to make a change to fix it, but cannot be sure. It's definitely not something I want because they are literally stealing a visitor from me and ruining my own reputation. It's the work of bad actors who put the ad up on the exchange and try to do so undetected. We've gone from ads that make annoying sounds to layers of them, to this, and it's a real pain for mobile users on many sites. So yeah i do know why people use adblock, unfrotunately, and it's because of those scum that we've slowly come to where we are. The hardest part is finding the culprit and blocking them.
Carl's The Sims Guides Well Im glad to know you know about it, and understand why it sucks. I really hope that these ads get taken off, and that site they redirect to gets flagged. You have an awesome day! Edit: Just checked, not getting redirected anymore! Yay!
