Hello over there. My daughter lost a lot strawberries until someone told her to paint lots of small rocks red and place them in her strawberry bed. That has been great
The birds will eat the strawberries before they turn ripe. Put some netting over them for protection.
I've found that just like tomatoes, as soon as the fruit gets red.. not pink, but perfect red for picking.. the birds get them!!!! One of the reasons I gave up on strawberries and why I don't plant determinant large tomatoes varieties, I prefer indeterminate smaller variety that I can keep netted and get tomatoes gradually, so I can pick before birds get to them.

Gary, check out DIY GARDEN IDEAS, they were growing tomatoes on an arch of fencing panels and tomatoes hanging everywhere. No bad spots from growing on the ground! ❤❤
Gary, you need to search "growing strawberries in soda bottles", that is so cool, and can be done almost anywhere! ❤❤
Hello there guys. Yes in West Virginia was in the 90s yesterday
We used to have a row of strawberries about 200 ft long by 4 ft wide. we also had a sour cherry orchard, plum trees a couple of Pear trees, MacIntosh apples, Yellow Transparent apples, Raspberries, Blackberries, Currants, and Crab apples which are great for jelly we had about 100 acre farm. Raised cows, pigs, geese, ducks, hens, and 10 kids 5 girls, 5 boys. I hear Bruce is being quite vocal today lol. I kind of laugh at your name there is not a single thing "SIMPLE" about your life style.

You might like fried radishes. I wash mine, leave them whole, put some bacon grease in pan, salt and pepper, sprinkle a little sugar over all of them, then fry on medium heat for about 5 to 10 mins., keep stirred. Then eat. Yum. We really like them that way!!!!
When I had a strawberry garden snails started eating my strawberries. I can’t stand those slimy things lol. 😂 💜
I was born and pretty much raised here in Ft Smith, but I lived in Phoenix a few times. Let me tell ya, humidity will cause it feel hotter than what you think it is. So our 85 feels like 105 in Phoenix. I laugh when I see all the videos about how hot it is there. That southern heat is way worse than that dry desert heat. 😂
Hahaha I’m laughing so hard at the cacophony! No way anyone could plan that out or in this case, avoid it. It sounds like heaven to me. The freedom to have noisy animals. I’m sure Bruce will get trained eventually. He’s young. Just need to stick it out past this. I’m sure you both don’t blame your brother, since he was the hero who gave Bruce a home. Keep being amazing, let the animals do their thing, and ignore the haters! 😂

Ran across a gardening term I have not heard before? "Companion Planting" I think it means planting a plant that repels aphids to protect plants aphids like to attack. Sounds much safer than pesticides! You might want to search that deeper! ❤❤

Really, inconsiderate? It's not like he went looking for a new dog. It just showed up there. He gets criticism because he didn't feed it to begin with because he really didn't want another dog. Now he's inconsiderate because the dog howls. With about a dozen dogs and four or five dozen chickens between the two families, I'm sure there's not much quiet time.
I agree the dog and those roosters would drive me crazy. Just me guys. Sorry.😊

Humidity means not only will it be hot , it will also be sticky heat that makes you sweat and it will hazie.

Don't mean to be negative, but the audio in this video is poor. Sounds like you're talking out of a barrel. Rooster and birds and dogs were over baring too. It's pretty distracting.
It's very hard to hear with rooster crows and hound dog barking.
Sorry.....the continuous howling of the dog makes it hard to watch/hear.
