Love how instructional vids show procedures problem free ( separating lower arm from knuckle is frequently rust welded and usually require extra work)
The fact the axle nut wasn't shown being tightened mentioned. Otherwise this guy really is fascinating to watch. Great hands and the point for effect a very good visual queue. The video assumes a person has advanced intermediate mechanical skills as well as equipment like the press to do the job so much of the rudimentary explanation not necessary.
Uausally have excellent videos and this one was up to standards,.right up to the part you tell us to simply hand tighten the axle nut then proceed to drive down the road!? Torque spec for everything BUT the most important fastener??? The weird noise we'll hear is from driving with a hand tightened axle nut!! Should probably add that information to the description or edit it in. Dropped the ball there...
why don't you tell us what torque wrench setting is for the hub nut before we drive down the road so we can tighten it correctly ??
Great video. Short and to the point
axle nut torque 207 foot pounds, wheel in the air, put a screw driver in the brake disc to stop the axle turning while torquing, just did mine today
Axle nut just tighten by hand , got it 😂, why do you need alignment
The SKF book says 59 ft Lbs and then 90 degrees with a oem new nut.
What the torque for axle nut
I thought about doing this myself until I watched the video😅
How the hell do u hand press the strut on onto the wheel hub assembly on reinstallation? That’s just ridiculous. It took me 10 minutes of hammering to get the stupid assembly off. You trying to tell me you just pushed it up there? I call shenanigans on that BS.
